Our choir rented 6 rooms for a 160th anniversary celebration of the Hamilton German Choir. The receptionist had a bit
of difficulty checking us in but managed in the end. The rooms were great, everything was clean, the beds comfortable and the price for the suites was unbeatable. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others

Clean, well staffed, just a really good stay for a really good price. I was unsure what to expect, being a college residence, but this was a very pleasant surprise. While not the Ritz, it was not a disappointment whatsoever. Everything worked, including the AC and the staff were just excellent.

Used this to catch our early morning flight... it’s like a dormitory for college students, small tv with 2 channels... 2 rooms with kitchenette and refrigerator... it served its purpose... it has a deposit fee of $100...reception was friendly to tell you what time is checkout. No free breakfast ...Uber was around $25 to Hamilton airport, it’s cheaper than a regular cab which was about $30..

Rude & unprofessional staff!
Rooms were dirty.
Beds somewhat comfortable.
It was like the washroom, nor the rooms were just left by the students and were not cleaned by cleaning staff.
Definitely would not recommend this place, ever!
One star, if that.

Manager responded well to complaints of filth in hallways, cold room temperature, and surly front desk staff. Not much could be done about the location ($20 cab ride into town, i.e., restaurants, bars, coffee shops, shopping, etc), and lack of cutlery, glassware, or cookware in kitchen.

We wanted to visit Toronto and were looking for an inexpensive option to stay the night in Canada and stumbled upon these accommodations.
These are dorms that the University rents out during the year. There is nothing fancy about them and our tv only had 4 channels, but it was cheap! We've done this a couple of other times around the States and have enjoyed it so we were excited to experience it the Canadian way.
They only have double beds, which is fine unless you're used to sleeping on a king bed.
The place is a little difficult to find as you drive up and see the college and might notice the residences and conference center.
This is a great place to use as a hub to see the area.
Would recommend staying here and would stay again if I needed.

I've stayed in the same accommodation type in Oshawa, so this was an easy choice for a visit to Hamiton.

Check in was smooth and quick. Room was clear, well-presented and tidy. Just remember that you need to put a ticket in your car for the parking. Parking is free, but you still need to visit the ticket machine and get a ticket (via a code). Car park is large too.

Wifi access is free and really quick. Not many more expensive hotels can offer this.

Free coffee is available each morning.

Good deal for the momey to stay a night. The beds are very soft and therefore if two people have to sleep in the same bed, it is like on a ship. In the suits, you can smell.sometimes beer and/or weed.Good deal for the money to stay a night.

Clean accommodations...the beds were a little hard but we expected as much. The location was perfect for our purpose but if you do not have access to transportation you might be hard pressed to find suitable dining.
Front end staff was friendly and helpful.

Hello Linda, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us! While there are dining options in the area it may be difficult for guests without vehicle access. We do hope that once construction at Mohawk College is complete the access to the HSR bus terminal at the front of the College will be more prominent for those who require transportation, though our front desk is always happy to call guests a taxi if required. We hope we can welcome you back to the Residence should you find yourself traveling to Hamilton in the future. Warmest regards,

The best thing about the room is that there are actually two bedrooms, with a common room, with kitchen. Spacious and clean. But the place is so no-frills that it's a bit ridiculous. You have a full kitchen with zero utensils, cookware, plates, or glasses. (You get plastic cups in wrappers.) Surprisingly, they supply some soap and shampoo, but that's it. No iron or hairdryer etc. Each bedroom has its own TV. AC, which is great (though it's controlled for both bedrooms from one of the bedrooms). It's far from anything, if you don't have a car. Price is right.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We take all reviews into consideration when upgrading our service offering. Hairdryers and irons/ironing boards are available at the Front Desk, along with pots and pans to use in the common kitchen. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Yes and no. Depends how much you like walking... If you take Beckett Drive it is about 3.5 km. Which is about five minutes by car... :)
