From check in to checkout the staff was pleasant and professional. The young lady - I can't remember her name - serving in the breakfast area was outstanding. The hotel is clean and the beds comfortable. Close to several eating options. The indoor parking is easy in and out.
Spent the night after attending a hockey game at first Ontario centre which was about 5 Minute walk . Hotel is nice stayed here before room is a decent size but with 3 People only the one bed had to use the pull out sofa which seemed pretty worn down only negative I would say from the room .. otherwise nice breakfast was decent with a basic selection can’t complain considering it’s included parking $12 I believe. In a garage
The room is spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. It allows pets and had a kitchen so for people staying for a while, this is a great place. It is located close to the bay and to sports and music venues. You have to pay for parking but I highly suggest it. Everything is locked to get in to. The garage, the hotel. Even when you first get there you have to buzz in. Very secure.
First off, we had booked our hotel months before we visited and had paid in advance on a credit card. One which were in the midst of closing out with our bank btw. Bad us for not realizing that you cannot use a Visa Debit for incidentals. I use my Visa debit everywhere without issue. Even in the US but not acceptable here. And paying cash is not acceptable currency anymore for hotels either. So after doing a lot of running around, that issue was resolved. Funny, they’ll take your money via Visa debit to pay for the room on the site ???? And we weren’t the only ones having an issue with checking in for similar issues. Then the room. Not worth the money we paid. Dull and dingy. Stained carpets, curtains look dirty. Completely weird set up. TV off to the side not in front of the of the bed? Bad part of the city too. Only good thing is that it was close to The First Ontario Centre which was very close as we were going o a concert. If we were ever to go to another concert in Hamilton, I’d drive the 45 mins to Niagara. Much nicer rooms at half the cost.…
The hotel was clean, the staff were nice, I liked the location close to the airport. It's a traveling hotel and not in a touristy or walking part of town but is convenient for most areas on the escarpment and has plenty of parking.
My, now, Husband and i stayed here with our wedding party and family. The one thing i will agree on, is its not in the best area. it was pretty sketchy. The parking wasnt the best either because its underground and there wasnt a lot of spaces. We never had trouble finding parking though. The good thing was, it was a really nice hotel. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The only negative thing i would say about the rooms is that the lighting is terrible. We did hair and makeup in the hotel room and the lighting wasnt great. They dont have enough light bulbs and the colour of the walls makes it really gloomy. Other than that, i have no real complaints about this hotel. The staff were great. They let me know when the vendors were there so i could let them come up. They were very accommodating. Check in was a breeze and the front desk lady had to check me into about 7 rooms lol. There was absolutely no issue there. Breakfast was fine. its a continental breakfast that is free of charge so you really cant complain. They had waffles which was a bonus for me. The hotel is also in a decent area if you need to get around. We got married at Ancaster Mill so it was easy to get to. we also checked out the bay the day after the wedding and it wasnt far at all. If i had to go back to Hamilton i would definitely stay here again!…
Although our room was clean and modern, the bathroom needed some attention, and there could have been better attention to details. We stayed in room 623. The shower faucet was practically falling off the wall. It was also extremely difficult to turn on. The shower curtain was hung extremely low to the point that a good portion of the curtain was laying flat in the tub (slipping hazard). Also, it would be a good idea to provide an extra couple of small garbage bags, in the bottom of the bin. We managed to find the last parking spot in the underground of the hotel, so parking may have been an issue if the hotel was more full. Breakfast was nothing special (undercooked bacon, premade "omelettes", selection of cereal). We would probably stay here again. It was good value for the price.…
Was recommended to try this hotel. Room was large but carpet stained. Bathroom shower door needed repair. Bed was comfortable. Room was not as advertised on website. Curtains needed updating. Underground parking was limited to very few spaces. Paid to park underground, but when full staff told me a parking garage was nearby. Not satisfactory when hauling several peices lugguage. Front door is locked due to area hotel is in. You enter than walk up a long staircase or take elevator to front desk. No where to park cartwheel checking in. Due to the rough area of town hotel is in, will not be staying here again
Just stayed one night in a jacuzzi suite. The hotel is nice and the staff were friendly. Our room was large and very clean. Breakfast is included and was quite good. The parking fee was over $12 to park there for the night which seems a bit much. Over all no real complaints.
I can't say a lot about this hotel, because all services and amenities were closed due to state pandemic restrictions. (no pool, no gym, no breakfast, no restrooms, no staff around) Rooms were clean and had coffee and popcorn :D And there is a Tim Hortons and an A&W around. So you can survive :D Thanks!
