Room smelled so smokey, we couldn't stay - the driveway was a mess, it was a motel not a hotel......I'd say it was a huge let down for us as we had paid for 2 rooms in advance. But we didn't feel safe and hated the run down look of the place and booked again at a beautiful hotel not too far away at only a few dollars more. Stay away - my thoughts on a wasted $330.

I got going late and needed to stay in Kingston for a night -- I saw a sign for one hotel and figured that where there's one there are others. So I went down John A. Maccdonald Blvd, turned on to Princess and saw the Knight's Inn. The check-in should have warned me off, but I was really tired.... The room was filthy and in very bad shape -- no recent renovations here. I don't think the linens had been properly washed, the carpet cleaned in years, anything wiped down with any type of cleaner, and there was a lot of mildew in the bathroom. Even worse was the scary people hanging around (and probably staying there): druggies and prostitutes and some just really nasty looking types. I did not even stay the night I felt so unsafe. They wouldn't refund me, but that was better than having my car broken into or being assaulted while going to or from it.

When we first entered the room, noticed that the door had odiously been kicked in, the door jam was inadequately repaired. There was blood on the door frame, carpets were not vacuumed. The sheets were dirty and had what appeared to be blood stains. Towels had to be exchanged as they were filthy and the shower curtains had mildew. The room although labeled as a non smoking room, smelled like smoke. The desk chair was filthy and the wing back chair appeared to have stab makes.

When I arrived at the hotel, the person who dropped me off asked if the hotel was closed because it was in such a state of disrepair. The room was very dirty. Every towel was visibly soiled with black stains. The bathroom doorknob was broken and almost falling off the door. I would not stay here again.

Everything was stained (sheets, comforters, walls, towels, floors, shower curtain), there were mouse droppings in the closet, cobwebs in every corner, the wallpaper was peeling, the desk and bathroom floor were sticky, there was a major draft coming in the room. Also one of the guests found it necessary to open his curtains and masturbate in front of my wife who was sitting in the car waiting for me while I checked in! Avoid this place at all costs is my suggestion!

Despite pictures to the contrary, the room had not been renovated recently Maybe a lick of paint as this was evident around the external door frame. No smoking sign on exterior wall was negated by the badly disguised smell of stale tobacco in the room and cigarette burn holes in the bed cover. Generally the room was unclean and the bath/shower looked like somebody had walked in it. If I could score zeros for this review, then I would. It was that bad we rose and 7am to depart immediately.

The first room given stunk of cigarette smoke. Very dirty, bedspread had burn holes in it and was stained. The cleaner was smoking in room at this time. Dirty cloth in drawer. Spoke to owner and he said, "what do you expect it's a old motel". We asked for our money back. He was hesitant. Asked for another room, he took us to another room. It did not smell as bad. The bathtub had a ring around it, the toilet has not been properly cleaned in sometime. The floor by the tub has fungus growing. The nightstand and all drawers had cigarette ashes and filth inside. The microwave is filthy. The photos on Trip Advisor does not show anything close to what we saw. Need I say more. This motel requires a good going over.

Had a reservation. Arrived at 3:30 or so- check in is at 3. They said the room they wanted to put me in wasn’t ready yet- I was a single traveller, they only had double rooms ready at the moment was my understanding. They asked me to come back in 45 minutes, when it would be ready, but they have me the key and room number. They said 109. It isn’t written on the card and they don’t give you any paper or sleeve, so I confirmed 109 and wrote it in my cell phone. I agreed to return in 45 minutes or later, taking all my belongings and bags of food for the fridge with me on my errands. I came back after an hour and a half or so, broight everything into the room (that was a double after all!), and put the food in the fridge, laid out all my personal items and clothes and cplugged in my phone to charge. I went back out to get some dinner. When I returned 30 minutes later, a new staff member cut me off at the entrance area asking what room I was in. I said 109, I already checked in (I thought he maybe thought I was new). He said no no no, wrong room, there was a problem, blah blah blah. I explained what happened earlier and that my stuff was already in 109. The original guy then joined us, saying it was supposed to be a single, 119, not 109. I said, you said 109, I wrote it down, my stuff is in there. He said no its not, they took it out. They went into my room when I was away, packed up all my personal stuff and put it in the office. I asked about several specific items- papers, my phone, charger, and the food in the fridge. They hadn’t checked the frige. I assumed since they packed up all my stuff without me someone else was already in that room= they weren’t. so we went to get my stuff from the fridge. So he goes to get me the key to 119 then notes its not 119, its 118- so clearly it wasn’t a miscommunication, but an actual mistake on their part. We go to bring my stuff to 118- it’s the same model of room as the original- a double?! So why move me at all? I asked about this, the second guy didn’t have an answer. I just know that I paid 110$ to have strange men touch my pjs and bra and phone and personal items without my knowledge or consent, just to stay in the inn that was less than stellar to begin with. The bathroom was dirty, with huge makeup stains on shower curtain and stains in tub and hair around sink. no Kleenex or pads of paper/pens , no shampoo or conditioner provided only bar soap no alarm clock the few pluses were : nice bedding, large tv, free wifi, microwave and fridge in room.
