Detailed Reviews
This hotel was very easy to get to off of the 401. The desk staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was very clean.
The room we booked had a fridge, stove, microwave and cupboards with dishes and a toaster. It was also immaculately clean.
It is just off of the 401, but we truly didn't notice the traffic noise. It was only a 15 minute drive to downtown Kingston.
I would highly recommend staying here.

Your typical budget motel. Very basic. Almost had a “dorm” feel to it. Can tell the building is older by the rough looking walls. However, older buildings have an advantage sometimes such as fans in the bathroom. (Why do newer hotels not have bathroom fans anymore?..) Handy microwave and fridge included. Mattress was okay, blankets and pillows were quite soft and comfy.
Major downfall though is how much the sound travels. I could easily hear the men in the room across from us and they were not even being loud. Our TV also decided to malfunction but not until 10pm when we returned from Fort Fright so we decided not to mention it till check out.
It was clean and that is the most important part. Staff was friendly. We only paid $75+tax for one night so it’s hard to complain too much.

We had a wonderful stay here at Motel 6. Very convenient, just off the highway. I had a dog with me and they were very friendly with him as well and got us a ground floor room which was extremely helpful. The room was extremely clean with a large window, tv, large bathroom and cute room. The ONLY reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the bed was very hard and the walls were pretty thin so you could hear a lot. Besides that it was really a perfect room for us

We are here in Kingston for the Brier and although we booked a Airbnb for Saturday and Sunday night we decided to come down a day early and were delighted to find a hotel right off the highway with amazing rates. The hotel is clean and modern, brightly lit. The front desk staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home!

The staff was friendly the room was clean and the air conditioning in the room worked well. The room smelt so strong of cleaning products that we had to leave the window open for a few hours to air it out. No water pressure in the shower. No coffee maker in the room, but they did have coffee and tea in the lobby. No air con in the hallways or lobby, cooler outside than in the hotel. The worst part of our stay was the sleep. The bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood...worse mattress I have ever slept on...and the fridge clunked all night. Overall, spend a little extra and stay somewhere else.

We booked 3 rooms for a one night stay at Motel 6 based on the wonderful reviews provided by prior guests. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly....she even accommodated an early check in which we truly appreciated as we had travelled 5 hours from home to get there. At some point between midnight and 7am, the power went out. The room was very hot and stuffy because the air conditioning stopped and there was no hot water in the morning to take a shower and feel refreshed. Elevator was out of service due to the power outage, therefore had to take the stairs from the fourth floor while carrying all of our luggage. Upon check out, front desk staff advised they were unable to allow any discounts and we would need to talk to the motel manager. I called and left a message on his voice mail the next day...no return call. I called again on the second day and again went to voice mail, so called front desk and was advised he was not in but would be available the following day for very short periods of time. On day three finally spoke to the general manager to see if there was anything he could do to compensate for the inconvenience. Because the power outage was planned (although the motel was not previously informed..so they say) the policy states they do not have to do anything because it was out of their control. If the problem was caused at the motel then they would consider doing something. With that being said, I questioned the importance of good customer service...at which time he was very fustrated and basically said he was going to end the call at that point and felt no need to continue . Clearly the manager does not care about the guests experience and would not recommend staying at this motel.

When I checked in, I was told that the rates were different for each of the 3 nights we wanted as they were almost sold out. Since when are the rates not the same for each night? Also, I had to sign a waiver that with a pet, we couldn't leave the pet alone in the room at any time, needless to say yjat we didn't stay there

Upon check in, staff was very friendly. Was greatly appreciated that they accommodated an early check in for me. Also was informed of the coffee, tea available and about the muffins in the morning as well. My room was nice and spacious. The bed was not the most comfortable however. Try all the pillows to find the one that won’t make you feel like you’re trying to sleep on a brick.
At some point when I was out at an event that night, the power must have gone out as when I returned the clock was flashing.
Fast forward to sometime before 7am someone going down the hall saying (quite loudly) “power is out, elevator is down- use the stairs”. Thanks for the unwanted wake up call sir.
To make matters worse, I did not have a window that opens, my room was extremely stuffy in the morning.
Only positive thing was that it was sunny out so I was able to get ready with the natural light. But no opportunity to shower or freshen up.
I did send an email to the general manager after looking into things on my own. Called Hydro One and was told that it was a planned power outage. Still have yet to hear back from the manager.
Great customer service 🙄

The room that we got was recently renovated and I liked it! The beds don't look too bulky and at the same time it feels comfortable!
The desk staff are friendly and were able to help us in whatever we needed. Also, they have free hot drinks with scalding hot water available at the back of the lobby.
It was definitely different from the other Motel 6s we stayed in. Especially with the price that we got (just half the price compared to other suburban highwayside hotels in the city and 1/3 to 1/4 the price of the waterfront hotels). Big bang for the buck!

I can see the appeal if you're a trucker, but otherwise, I'd say this hotel is cheap and soulless and entirely utilitarian. There is no coffee shop, no coffee machine in the room, and when my husband asked the front desk if he could have another blanket, he was met with a strict "no," as a result of which he was cold all night. I was awakened at about 6:30 am when all the truckers began leaving their room with a loud "bang." The pillows were lousy.
So, unless you need a space to park a large truck, give it a miss. You can do much better in a B&B in twon
