This is a beautiful Courtyard hotel not far from the US/Canadian border and close to start of the Rideau (pronounced Ree Dough) Canal that goes all the way up to Ottawa. The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. The entrance area was large and welcoming. Courtyard hotels do not offer free breakfast but this one had small restaurant and a breakfast area where it could be purchased a la carte. There is a bar area next to the restaurant. Across from the seating area and restaurant bar space was a large conference area.

The public areas were all immaculate with comfortable seating. We had a large two queen bed room with a TV, a large work area, a comfortable chair, tiny kitchen nook that held a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom was large and sparkling clean with a huge walk-in shower. Our room looked down on the parking lot and the city with lots of restaurants nearby. We walked across the lot to Boston Pizza Sports Bar. The food was great, and service was wonderful. We highly recommend the Courtyard in Kingston Ontario Canada.

This hotel is not close to downtown but an outlet mall. The prices at the mall are good but at least 1/3 of the shops closed permanently.

The room is clean with 2 queen beds. There are a small refrigerator and microwave, 2 USB plugs at alarm clock. Remember to reset the alarm before going to bed (I was waked up in the middle of the night).

Bathroom has weak ventilation. If you turn on the light at the bathroom, one of the light in the room will be on also. It is disturbing if someone is sleeping.

Room price is relatively cheap. Breakfast is at extra cost.

The breakfast area is close. Swimming pool is 45 minutes per family, prebook at the front desk, water slide and hot tub are closed.

This hotel exceeded expectations. After driving through a snowstorm in rush hour traffic from Toronto en route to Quebec, we were grateful to be warmly greeted by front desk staff and to settle into our clean and spacious room.

We were told that there were a number of hockey teams staying there, and were advised that security was on the lookout for noise levels. However, we had no issues with noise (a bit of chatting in corridors but nothing bothersome) and we appreciated the fact that hotel staff were on top of the situation.

We had a room with 2 queen beds. The room decor was fresh and updated, and the bed was super comfortable. The mini fridge and microwave were handy.

Our son was able to enjoy a morning swim in the hotel pool before we headed off again.

We ate breakfast at the bistro in the lobby. The prices were high, but the food was quite tasty. There are several fast food options nearby for cheaper breakfasts.

Finally, the location of this property just off the highway is very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice however I found the service did not meet my expections. I travel with Marriott quite a bit as I was staying for 2 nights using points.
Checked in at 9:45pm after a long travel day, was in line behind another family. Another customer came down while I was waiting with a question about this coffee machine. After the family was served, they served the other customer and kept me waiting.
The pool was nice, had a slide. The water was a bit cold but not bad. Half the pool was closed as someone was using the pool to give swimming lessons. While my son used the other half of the small pool there was 3 different customers that came for lessons.
When we left, my daughter accidently left her library book in the room. I used the Marriott App to contact the front desk to offer to pay to have it mailed. The book was light and I figured it would cost a maximum of $10 to put in the mail (the book was most likely worth $15). They indicated they would ship it at a cost of $30. No thanks, that is just taking advantage of your customers. It was cheaper for me to buy the book to return to the library.
Decent hotel, clean rooms were good but the service was poor. The fact that they are selling a part of their pool for lessons so it is not avaialble for customers and wanted to over charge me to ship a book when I was loyal Marriott customer left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hello S2081Rllindah, We appreciate you taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your stay was not enjoyable. It is not like our staff to ignore a guest and I have addressed with them the importance of acknowledging all of our guests, regardless of how busy they may be. We want all of our guests to know how much you are valued. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the pool area and I'm sorry that it did not feel welcoming with others using the pool. We will be discussing our pool use further based on your experience. I understand that it may have been frustrating to hear of the potential shipping cost for your book. I was the person that spoke with and I always do my best to notify our guests of the cost before we start the process. Please know that we do not set the pricing for shipping. We use UPS to ship any items that have been left in order to ensure that the items are secure during transit and we can provide a tracking number. I hope that at in he future we will have an opportunity to serve you again when you return to the area. All the best.

The hotel ground cleaning crew started at 5:45am with gas blower. The hotel wouldn’t stop them. No respect for the clients.

The website claims to have EV charger, they don’t. In the parking of all the commerce ,they have Tesla charger. To bad if you don’t have a Tesla. Too bad about getting a full charge before moving to you next destination.

This hotel is off my list for ever!

Dear Alain H, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. I apologize that you were woken up by a landscaping team - it was not our staff, but I want to apologize regardless. I will follow up with neighbouring businesses to ensure that this doesn't happen again. We don't own the Tesla chargers - they are owned by the mall. We would be happy to point you in the direction of EV chargers in the area. I apologize for the confusion! If there's anything else that we may assist you with during your stay, please don't hesitate to reach out. Sincerely, Jamie Blodgett Front Office Manager jblodgett@courtyardmarriottkingston.com

Checked in on July 15, 2022. Excellent location near many restaurants, shopping and the downtown waterfront of Kingston. We unpacked and got settled in the room and only then did I pull back the bed covers as I always do in a hotel to make everything is clean. It was NASTY! See picture. One of the pillowcases was stained (looked freshly stained) and had a very long hair on it. When I looked closer there were even a couple of eyelashes. So, I guess the bed had NOT been changed from the previous guest. How filthy and disgusting. Makes you question the cleanliness of EVERYTHING! Upon complaining they did have the bed changed. I wiped down every possible surface with my Lysol wipes. Pretty disappointing in these days and times where there is such an emphasis on cleaning, cleanliness, minimizing one's risk of infection due to Covid, etc. This should NEVER happen in any hotel and any time. You have to trust and believe that they actually clean the rooms between guests but this left my shaking my head in wonder and disgust.

Dear Laurie C, I recognize your time is valuable and appreciate the feedback you have taken the time to provide. Maintaining a clean atmosphere within our guest rooms and common areas is important and I apologize that we did not fulfill that expectation during your visit. The cleanliness issues that you experienced have been shared with our housekeeping leaders to ensure this is an isolated incident. I can assure you that we absolutely clean the rooms and change linens between guests, so I truly apologize that this pillow case was not clean when it was put in the room. As a gesture of apology, I have taken $100 off each night that you stayed with us. You should see the refund back on your card within 3-5 business days! My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Courtyard while our son was moving to Queens U residence. This is our second stay at this hotel, first one was in 2011 for a family wedding. The hotel is conveniently located near the 401 and just steps from an outlet mall... for those who loves shopping :)
Check in was very easy, they make you login to an app and answer some health screener questions and you're off to go. The room it self (we were in 214) is nice and spacious; it has everything you need; a comfortable king-size bed, a TV, small fridge (very loud) and a seating area.
there were two things that bothered us; one, there was mold at the bottom of the shower and the AC was extremely loud (the fridge too but not as loud).
Overall it was a good stay for the price we paid, I gave this hotel 4 stars because of the two things I mentioned (mold and the AC) otherwise I would have given it a 5 stars. I do recommend this hotel it is pretty good.

This was a very pleasant stay, even though we were only there for one night. They had a room ready even though we checked in early and the front desk agents were very attentive, informative, and friendly.

Our room was clean and modern, and had a nice view to the front of the hotel, which is located in the same area as a shopping centre. It had a mini fridge and a spacious bathroom. The bathtub had a nice big ledge on it which I love because there's plenty of room for storing all your bathroom necessities.

The only disappointment was that we couldn't use the pool, since you have to book it in advance and they only allow one family per hour. They were totally booked for the times we would have wanted. Even though we were placed on a waiting list, no spots opened up. It would have been fantastic to have the pool all to ourselves if we had been able to get it.

My only complaint otherwise is that the elevators are carpeted and the carpets have a bad stale smell to them, like bare feet or wet dog. Would be great to just tear that smelly carpet out of the elevators!

The absolute winning thing about this hotel though was the location. It is only about a 10 minute drive from the waterfront and is near the highway, so it's perfect for travelers. My favourite part was that there are so many food options nearby for all budgets! Lots of gas and eateries around. Our special favorite was being able to eat breakfast at a nearby Dennys, since there aren't any of those near where we live. The hotel does have its own restaurant and a Starbucks in the lobby, which we didn't use.

Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely stay there again if we return to Kingston and recommend it to anyone going there.

We chose this hotel based on location as a stop over on our trip home. It was our first time using points through Marriott and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much. From the moment we walked in I was impressed. We didn’t check in until almost 10pm and we were welcomed with a friendly reception.

It was a large reception area that included a bar/bistro , business are and ‘theatre’ area.

The room was a king bed and was a good size with a large lounger as well a walk in shower, fridge and microwave.

We were also pleased as we were travelling with a 9 year old and the pool was open until 11. The water slide has different hours but includes a life guard.

Overall the hotel was very clean, either newer or recently renovated. The staff were friendly and you are close to the 401, adjacent to outlet mall shopping and lots of food options.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

This was a return visit. The hotel has good Covid protocols - staff masked, hand sanitizer, floor distancing reminders.
The room was clean, modern and roomy. The bed felt soft but we had an excellent sleep!
The staff was friendly. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Easy access to downtown Kingston and Hwy 401.

If I were to book March 6 would the pool as bf water slide be open
Answer from Katie Y
Our pool is open. Our waterslide and hot tub are closed. The pool is on a time slot basis, where you will get 45 minutes to swim and we take 15 minutes to clean and sanitize after each guest use. You are able to book a time slot for the pool once you check in. It is on a first come first serve basis so please note the pool may be fully booked by time you arrive.

I was there on a business trip, the company I work for has negotiated rate that includes breakfast, however I do not know if that is the norm. Best to call and check. The staff at the front desk will provide you with the details.
