Based on MY opinion: We got there on a Friday evening. Our car was the only one there. We got put on the second floor because the first floor was filled. No cars and the first floor filled. That should tell you something. We had No problems or noise with that cliental. We went up to the second floor. About 15 rooms under repairs. Stink of drywall dust, paint. Hallway was covered in dust, sheets of drywall all over. Got to the room. I complained and was told to open the window. I slept in my cloths that night. I am 70 and we travel quite a bit. This was the second worst room in all of our travels. Got up about 10 times to check to see if I still had a vehicle there. Train horns were blowing on and off all night. In the morning there was only 1 other car in the lot. Room: bathroom fan hanging down, mold around tub, furniture ripped and worn out. Room was just really tired. We should have been told before hand about that. I had a headache with the fumes. Maybe after the renovations (and a friendlier staff) this might be ok as a cheap night rental.

Avoid avoid avoid. Tried to charge us for damage because my son fell through the sofa bed in the night. Literally called and yelled at me. Something is wrong here. This is the worst place we have ever stayed.

This place has to be the worst place we have ever stayed. Filthy stairwell, no ice machine on 2nd floor, no breakfast, dirty curtains, tv was very poor. The clerk showed me several room before I found one that was even partially acceptable. The bottom floor is apparently rented out, so I was told, so the rooms were even worse!! If that is POSSIBLE! DO NOT STAY HERE. WE WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE BACK

I would stay away from this hotel and if I could I would give it ZERO stars. Take a look at all the negative reviews, the good ones are probably fake!! We booked this hotel because there was nothing else available and we wanted to save money during these hard times. We booked it through Expedia which was also a big mistake. My tech skills are not great so when I booked through expedia I did not receive any kind of confirmation. The day before the wedding that we were to attend, I told my husband that I did not know where we were staying as I did not receive a confirmation. We searched high and low through emails but could not find anything, therefore, we gathered that I had not booked it correctly so we booked a different hotel (by this time double the price). On our way home from a wonderful wedding, I was notified through my bank that a charge for the Maple Crest Hotel had just gone through (at this point I did not even recognize the name and had to google it). We were so upset. We called the hotel to try and explain and they hung up on us 'saying too bad, your problem, not ours, call expedia"! We called expedia and they said "it was the hotel's problem, they should have sent out a confirmation". We did not get anything from anyone. We tried calling the hotel again and they were extremely rude and hung up on us again. Absolutely horrible behaviour and attitude....especially during tough times like this!

I arrived late in the evening, and was greeted by both the husband and wife who manage the establishment. They seemed puzzled that I was traveling alone and would be there only one night, then they apologized for the price, which seemed reasonable to me, as it was a Saturday night, and early summer. I found everything in order. WiFi was bit weak, but I did what I needed to do for the evening.

On our way home from the east coast. We needed a place to rest our heads for a quick overnight badly. Every single hotel/motel was booked except this one and seven oaks. Giving it 2 stars solely because it was available. $200 deposit - way too high. Hallways wreaked of cigarette smoke and pot. Room smelt like hookers perfume. TV remote barely worked. The floor looked like it had blood stains. The blankets stunk. The AC barely worked. $199 plus tax. Way too expensive and we know they took advantage of us because it was late at night. Guy at the front was nice but talked way too fast.

Reserved and prepaid the room in a place that on paper deemed ok. The room was originally reserved for two, even if I ended being the only one eventually moving in it. Lucky because there were towels only for one. After supper I came back to notice that there was no coffee in the room when it’s supposed to have complementary coffee, no paper tissues, electrical plugs and connections hanging from the wall, and a phone not working. I had to call reception from my call phone. Cleanliness????? Eventually, I was kindly relocated on the other side of the corridor. Room 2: towels only for one person (it seems to be a maximum), this time, there was complementary coffee for one person (not two), still one connector standing from the wall, one quarter of a box of paper tissues, didn’t try the phone, but the message light sometimes flashes… Cleanliness????? Still haven’t been able to check if complementary breakfast is only on paper or real, but right now, wether is there or not, I can say this is my first ad last time in this place. It seems according to the sticker on phone of the first room that this used to be a Comfort Inn. No wonder they lost the brand with such poor maintenance.

I am careful rating a place I stayed because I wish to be fair to both the owners and to guests. I was disappointed by a peculiar lack of attention upon checking in. I booked a room on first level which allows me to park right in front of my room. Unaware of this benefit I asked the host where I could park so he said "theres lots of room. Park anywhere". He should ve said park right in front of your room. Then I asked him when is breakfast. He said 6am to 9am. The fact is on weekend its 6:30am to 9am. Now this may sound a bit weird for me to say but it matters. In my case I get up at 5am. I psych myself up for breakfast. Show up at 6...as I m told.. Then get upset. I feel bad complaining about what seems like details but for someone away from home the small things can become big things. In all fairness I otherwise rate this place good. Great bed!. Soft pillows. Nice TV. Bathroom and rest of it real clean.

Our second stay at this place. We originally stayed a couple of years ago, booked through Hotwire. We’re going to Quebec and decided to stop the night in Kingston and booked through Hotwire again and got the same the same place again. New owners, but same great place. Rooms are tidy, plenty of parking and free breakfast is always great - cereal, waffles, eggs, bread and jam.
