Pension well located near the 401 west to get Montreal to Toronto. This is a Motel set in the middle of the commercial area, you should not stop there for the landscape... The rooms are large, clean, equipped with a fridge, no safe. The air conditioning is horribly noisy, you should not consider letting it run at night unless you are deaf... We stayed two nights, the room was not made while we were out all day. Decent sweet savoury breakfast but the room receiving it is tiny and cannot absorb all the guests. Welcoming staff without more, professional we will say.
Free parking outside the Pension.
For a stop on the route Montreal Toronto and a visit of a thousand islands I would recommend a stop on Gananoque

We arrived late in the evening and were very tired from the drive. Our initial room had a "stale" odour to it so we immediately talked to the young woman at front desk. She offered to upgrade us to another room down the hall and after checking it out we relocated. The hot/cold breakfast in the morning was most enjoyable providing standard fare for Comfort Inns. The hotel was conveniently located just off Hwy 401 with easy access.

We were pleased with our accommodation at the Comfort Inn 401. The beds were comfy, we heard no traffic noise, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The hot breakfast buffet was ample, Dwayne at the from desk was downright charming, and when we had trouble figuring out the TV, a maintenance person arrived within minutes and fixed it.
We were within easy walking distance to Boston Pizza , and Swiss Chalet as well as a shopping mall.
Our only complaint was the same as we find at all hotels- the heating/cooling system- finicky, and a bit noisy. Hard to keep a constant suitable temperature.
That said, we would definitely return to this hotel

Family of 4 recently stayed at the Comfort Inn along Highway 401 in Kingston, and it was a pleasant experience. The location is convenient, right off the highway, making it easy for travelers. The room was spacious, very clean, and recently renovated with nice furnishings. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Breakfast had a good variety of options, which was a nice start to the day. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay, and a great option for families needing a resting spot.

We had an excellent 2 night stay on 25 & 26 December while visiting family in Kingston. This hotel has been renovated, the rooms are spotless and bed and bedding very comfy. Special shout-out to Rob and Sue who were working 12 hour shifts so that other team members could have the holidays off. We will be back!

The room smelled very strongly of stale cigarette smoke (to the point that items left out in the room for our 2 nights still stank when we got home). Nice to have an opening patio door, but it opened right onto the parking lot with a sidewalk for people to walk right by your door. The mattress on the pull out couch was paper thin and very uncomfortable for my teen sleeping on it. You can do a LOT better for a similar price in the area. The breakfast was a saving grace (MYO waffle station!), But the coffee wasn't tasty.

Good old fashioned comfort in a traveler’s inn. On a road trip back to Toronto and had the most comfortable bed, and soft linen in 2 months on the road/ if you feeling weary - pull off the Highway and stay here.
Breakfast is a packed meal that makes leaving quick and convenient - easy off the journey and back on again refreshed.

Here are the facts:
1. We arrived after 3, room wasn’t ready
2. Mini fridge had contents from previous guest. I called the front desk and they said someone would clean it the next day. The next morning, I mentioned it again to the day staff at reception. Nothing was done. This left me feeling very uncomfortable as to the level of importance placed on infection control during a pandemic. I even asked a housekeeper later that second day, but she stated she doesn’t clean the fridge. If you can leave some parts of a room unclean, you can cut corners elsewhere.
3. T.v. remote was broken and no Kleenex in the room
I don’t really care about the minor problems, the cleanliness and lack of response bothers me. I do my part by paying and leaving on time. You didn’t fulfill your end.
However, the staff were kind, the location is very good and they did a good job with breakfast given the challenges.
I probably wouldn’t stay here again as I didn’t feel safe regarding cleanliness.

I want to commend one particular employee at this Comfort Inn, so helpful that we gave her a gratuity on the way out, and that is Trish. I messed up when I made my first reservation, and she was able to change it cheerfully when I called in desperation. She was there on a twelve hour shift most days and smiling every time we went in or out. If I were her boss, I would definitely do what I had to in order to keep her.
Thanks Trish!
