Hotel was very conveniently located in the downtown core, just a minutes walk to the waterfront and many of the fun touristy activities; like the 1000 island boat rides and the ghost walk. Not forgetting the very fun downtown atmosphere, tons of busy bars, patios, shops, restaurants, ice cream and the market. Although downtown was very busy and noisy, our room was quiet and we didn’t hear any noise from the street.

Parking is underground, $20 a night. There were plenty of spaces when we stayed. Access is by an elevator inside the hotel, so jumping in the car was very easy.

I paid for breakfast to be included, you go to a small restaurant which is attached to the hotel. There is a nice choice of very large breakfasts which set you up for the day so you don’t have to worry about lunch!

The hotel and room were clean and as expected, nothing exceptional but good enough. Desk staff and housekeepers were all friendly and helpful.

Our only disappointment was the pool which we tried one evening. You have to book a spot and they give you a key to access it. The pool room was dark, all the lights were off. Once we found some lights, we saw that the pool was cold and filthy. There were no pumps running, it was just a small, dark little pool filled with stagnant, cold water. There was a visible thick scum at the waterline which another visitor had scraped here and there with a fingernail. The hot tub was out of order and covered in caution tape. The pool freaked me out so we stayed for 2 minutes lol.

Our stay in Kingston was very fun, and the hotel was clean and very conveniently located, so in that respect it was worth the money. The pool is nasty though.

I recently stayed two nights for a work conference.

Every staff member we encountered was amazing.

The food provided was very good, and they provided a great selection.

The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean, comfortable and well stocked (pillows, towels, etc). There are dispensers on the wall of the shower for shampoo, conditioner and body wash, which was extremely convenient. Smart TV with Netflix and Prime was super convenient.

AC units in room are a little loud, but that's not unusual for a hotel.

They are renovating the 7th floor. They seemed to be very mindful of when they were working, as I was on the 6th floor and was not disturbed by the noise at all. I was up and out by 8am both days, so it might be disruptive if you are wanting to sleep in.

Lots of underground parking, and at $10/night, it was a great bonus.

Prime location for exploring.

I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic service at front desk, helpful and friendly. Shout out to Doug!
Dbl Queen room on 8th floor was clean, spacious and simple. Great location close to plenty of great restaurants (Kingston is big on pubs), downtown shops and the waterfront. Our package included breakfast which was fast and hearty (try the omelette) with prompt friendly service.

TV is large with many channels and a decent interface. Allows for entering (and eventually deleting) your Netflix or Amazon Prime credentials to use those services which is handy. TV guide was wrong a few times on a few channels that I checked.

Mini fridge and microwave in room, fridge is easy to turn off if you're a light sleeper. Lots of electrical plugs in the room and around beds.

Bathroom looks to have had some updates, but could use a few more. There was some grime in the grout of floor tiles, and better towel racks would be great.

Only had breakfast at the on-site restaurant, so not sure about other meals.

Restricted access to the pool due to covid, we were the only ones there. Would have liked to have been told that the hot tub was under construction, so we couldn't use that. Pool is narrow and shallow so really only good for cooling off and laps.

Parking entry is off Clarence St and $20/night. Get a ticket from the machine as you enter the garage, exchange it at the front desk for a card that you use for unlimited in/out during your stay.

Not sure if the Marriott or Delta would provide a bit more 'luxury', but the Four Points is a solid choice in a great location with great service.

This comfortable hotel is conveniently located near great downtown restaurants, tourist destinations, and shops. Our room on the 9th floor was of ample size and had a beautiful view of the waterfront. Beds were very comfortable. Ceiling light inside the door was dim. Bathroom seemed recently renovated. The bathtub was not installed right. Water did not drain out of it completely, which caused a stain. The shower was equipped with large containers of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner--better than annoying little single-use plastic containers. Breakfast in the restaurant, Sizzler, was inexpensive, fresh, and delicious, with many choices available. Staff in the hotel and restaurant seemed pleasant and efficient.

We appreciated parking in the underground garage rather than in an outdoor lot exposed to snow and ice. The card reader at the entrance/exit was impossible to reach without opening the car door and getting out.

From the moment we entered the hotel, we were disappointed. The hotel and room were really dated and drab. While the location is perfect, super close to the waterfront and great restaurants, we really didn't enjoy the room, especially considering we were paying over $300/night.
The TVs didn't work (the picture looks like something from the 90s) and the channels are all off. The carpet was really dirty and made the bottom of our socks black. And due to the pandemic and limiting contact, there is no cleaning service. Given we were in Kingston for work for a full week - we needed basic provisions (towels, kleenex, soap) that we had to go downstairs for each time. No one checked, no one dropped off towels or toilet paper or soap and everything just piled up in the room unless we took it down ourselves. The walls and windows were stained and/or grimy and the room itself was "decorated" in a brown/beige scheme that became depressing after a couple days.
The only positive, the staff at the front desk were really friendly and tried to be helpful.
Sadly, this was my first experience in Kingston and was unfortunately soured by this dated, sad, unclean stay.

Stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Kingston while on a business trip. I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious room and very comfortable bed. Initially, I was worried that the bed would not be comfortable, and make my lower back pain flare up. The bed was very supportive and I enjoyed 2 great night sleep!
The room and all public spaces were very clean - certainly a feat because there was quite a bit of snow and mud outside.
The best part of this property is the staff. Very responsive, welcoming and helpful. I needed to use the business centre printer and the front desk staff made sure that the printer was problem - free and fully stocked. Shout out to Ron Cyr, night manager on duty both nights I was there, as well as the manager in training who was also working alongside him. Very friendly, welcoming, and really took their time to make sure that our group was warmly welcomed.

Was at Four Points for a large Girls Hockey Tournament and was blown away by how accommodating and kind the staff were to rambunctious kids and stress out tired parents. The front desk staff was especially friendly and joked around with all the girls. I would also like to point out the location is great, and while not directly on the lake it is in the heart of "downtown" K-town and many rooms have views of the lake. If you are going with a family I would suggest upgrading to a suite which provides extra space and most critically, two TVs.

First if your visiting Kingston for the downtown nightlife and restaurants you can’t beat this location.

I found the front desk staff very efficient and friendly in both check in and check out. I would recommend using street parking during the summer months. Save the parking fee but note there is no overnight parking from December through the winter on Kingston’s streets.

The reason I am giving this hotel such a low rating is for #1 how dirty my room was. I actually wiped down all surfaces I was intending to touch. #2 it seemed to me that they are trying to save money by not putting essentials like toilet paper and Kleenex in the room. There were 5 pieces of Kleenex left in the room and about 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper. Also in the shower there was no body wash and I ran out of shampoo during my shower.

The hotel has some amazing views and it is in a great location just note it has seen better days. As well as you might want to bring your own essentials…..

I was extremely disappointed with our stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Kingston. I am aware that due to Covid, there may be some disruptions, but there were a few things that were handled very poorly.

1) On the website and on our reservation, it shows check in time as 3:00 pm. After travelling all day and arriving around 4:00 pm, the rooms were not available until well after 5:00 pm.

2) We reserved a One Bedroom Junior Suite, with one queen bed and a sofa bed. We had three people in our group and the reason we selected this room is that under room amenities is listed "Rollaway beds permitted: 1". When I asked for this to be provided, I was told that due to safety issues they cannot add rollaway beds to this type of room. I asked the agent at the front desk then why is it listed on the website. They said it wasn't on the website (go look. its there!! and I showed them) and I was given the same reply... I asked for an additional room and I was told it was sold out. We had to sleep two people in the queen bed which was very uncomfortable and i did not have a good rest.

3) We wanted to use the pool, but due to covid restrictions this was by appointment only (in 30 minute intervals). Our room was directly across from the pool and no one was using it. I asked the front desk if they could monitor if those people who signed up for the pool did not show up after 10/15 minutes and then let others use it and they said that there was nothing they could do.

4) For all the issues above, the quality of the facilities and the amenities of the hotel, the amount charged for this place is very excessive. You don't feel at all like you are getting value for the money.

This was, tragically, one of the worst experiences I have had. I was in town tending to my terminally ill mother at the KGH hospital and assured by the sales staff that the hospital connected me with, that I would receive a special rate due to our delicate situation.
The first night of my reservation, I fell asleep at my mother side a never made it back to the hotel. In the morning I received a phone call from the hotel informing me that I had been checked out of my room and my belongings were waiting for me at the front desk. I attempted to explain that there must be some error and that my reservation was for 3 nights, but an agent names Doug told me there was no conversation to be had and re-iterated that my belongings were waiting for me.
I rushed back to the hotel and waited in line for at least 30 minutes, only to be informed that I had been moved to another hotel near the highway on the other side of town because the hotel was overbooked AND that front desk staff were not aware of the special rate we were promised by sales staff.
I attempted to explain my situation but the front desk agent but I guess this annoyed him because the next thing he did was bing my bags out of his office and excort them outside, leaving them on the sidewalk as he returned to his desk.
All told, my one night accommodation (which I spend by my ill mother hospital bed), cost me nearly as much as the previously agreed upon rate for 3 nights. When I refused to pay, the staff informed me that I must speak with the hotels General Manager to sort out the issue. However he was not in the building, despite it being a weekday, within business hours.
It has been 6 weeks and the property GM, Andre Holmes, has not returned any of my phone calls or emails. Nor have I heard from any of the sale staff I was connected with via the hospital. Unfortunately I cannot recall her name, however staff at KGH have confirmed there is usually just one person who they work with. I have refuted the charge with my credit card company but this is not as simple as one might think. This entire experience has felt more like a scam than hospitality and is frankly shameful.
My advice: NEVER STAY HERE. This hotel clearly has a problem that starts at the top and goes all the way down.
I will be sharing my story with local journalists in the hope that others will not have to suffer from an experience like this.
