We absolutely loved our stay at the Rosemount Inn. Besides the fact that the building itself is just charming (we loved the „spooky touch“) the overall experience is what made us enjoy this trip so much. Although the building itself is old (I think built 1850) the bathroom was super modern and clean. The bed was very comfy and the room spacious. In times of Covid it was a Self Check in. Everything worked smoothly. We were texted several times(welcomed, access code) and felt very welcome. They provide everything you need from bottled water to umbrellas etc. The breakfast box in the morning was superb. I am a vegetarian and had a fresh roll with egg, cheese and pesto, a lot of fresh fruit and pastries(that pumpkin spice thing was to die for!). I would 100% recommend staying here. Very sad we only stayed one night(because we booked it before as a stopover on our way to Niagra on the lake).

We were looking forward to a luxury boutique experience for our last night of vacation but this was marred by several annoyances which resulted in the feeling that we didn’t get value for money. Pros: location within walking distance to waterfront tourist attractions; historic building full of character; good bathroom and amenities; good bed. Cons: high price; modern renovation not particularly to our taste, especially slab of granite on fireplace mantel with drop cloth draped on top (couldn’t tell if this was left behind by painters or a piece of art!); lack of surfaces in room to put things on, except a round tray sitting on top of an ottoman; room fan which we couldn’t adjust to cool the room; windows and a French door which were locked, meaning an uncomfortably warm night; Nespresso coffee pods were unlabelled….presumed to be regular…no decaf provided; disappointing two person Covid breakfast left at the door at 8am….to be eaten when convenient. The single hot egg, ham, and cheese croissant might have been delicious at 8am but less than appetizing when cold at 9am! The rest of the breakfast consisted of orange juice, a small fresh fruit salad with a single piece of Brie, chocolate chip loaf, and cupcakes with icing….more like afternoon tea than breakfast! This could have been improved by providing two croissants with butter and jam, yogurt, and nutritious muffins. Although staff were helpful at check-in and check-out they were otherwise out of sight and only reachable by phone…..something we were reluctant to do in the evening when we had problems with our room temperature . Given all of these issues, we found the almost $400 bill (including Ontario taxes) to be much too high and would not consider returning to the Rosemount Inn.

I am way overdue on sending a review. Full stop- fantastic, could not dream of a better stay. I married my fiancee in the glorious garden. My adult kids and my neighbors also stayed. I could go on at length about all the charms of the Rosemount- quality of the rooms, fantastic design, gorgeous bathrooms, fabulous common rooms (The Parlor), but I won't. I will wax on at length how extraordinary the staff our - you made the stay extra special.

Beautiful historic home built circa 1850, renovated in 2019. We were warmly greeted by Natasha upon arrival, and she recommended the perfect restaurant fir dinner that evening. She was unfailingly helpful throughout our visit. Comfortable bed, modern bathroom and cozy private outdoor patio where we had breakfast.

I cannot say enough good things about how incredible The Rosemount Inn was during my stay. I’m a Kingston local but needed a break from working from home after a year and a half: I was looking for a quiet and luxurious couple of nights away and my expectations were blown out of the water. First of all, the location and property is immaculate. Needed to walk through the house slowly, many times because I could not believe how beautiful and intriguing the space was. Highly recommend doing some research on the house before staying - I loved finding some vintage photos of the house during the 1800-1900s. My room was immaculately clean and unbelievably comfortable and the amenities were absolutely perfect. Champagne and locally-made chocolates in the mini fridge was such a kind and thoughtful touch. Breakfast in the morning was incredible. Honestly the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever eaten - have not been able to stop thinking about it. Breakfast delivery in the morning is a nice surprise and I loved that it was contactless so you can get it from the hall whenever you’re ready. The staff that I encountered (in person and via their convenient text-concierge service) were incredibly kind and I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for years so I know that (unfortunately) this is not the norm. But everyone here was so friendly and warm it honestly made the experience even better. Clearly I enjoyed my stay and I cannot recommend this place enough. I will be returning as I cannot think of a better mini-getaway than a stay at the Rosemount. Thank you to the owners and staff for offering such an incredible option for locals and visitors alike. I will be forever grateful for my stay and the mental clarity it helped me reach. PS I love that they give you some of the house’s history in the room - I’ve loved the Tuscan-style house on Stephen (?) st for years and didn’t realize until my stay that it was originally part of the property. Such a cool thing to think about. I digress!
