Detailed Reviews
Located close to Hwy 401, Outlet Mall, movie theatre, shopping centres. Only 10 minutes to downtown Kingston. Denny's on site for excellent service and food. We stayed in the Pool building and had a large double queen room with sitting area. This building was very quiet. We were there for 4 nights. Cleaning of our room and change of towels only happened after we requested service at the front desk (even though we had put out the sign on the door requesting service). The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. The room rate was reasonable BUT please note there is a $6.00 per night charge for parking! This fee is apparently noted on signage at front desk (we did not see the sign even on any of our 3 visits to the front desk). So when comparing hotels in the area keep this in mind; although their rates are good there are additional charges which may make the other hotels just as reasonable. Still knowing this we would probably stay here again but mainly because of the pool, fitness room and restaurant on site.

The name Ramada for the hotel it has higher rank than just average hotel/motel, but this location is disaster. Tue washroom was not clean, I found hair in the towels, hair in the shower tiles. Also the receptionist at the front desk wasn’t as friendly as We all except
Definitely I will never go the to this location
Although the next morning when I handed the key karda, the male receptionist was very professional and pleasant

When we arrived I found a pill in the room under the desk. I always do a sweep of the room before letting my dog off leash just in case. Luckily I found it before my dog did. Unacceptable in my opinion. Receptionist said ‘oh sorry’ and that was it. The breakfast was okay, it’s a grab an go. Half the time the table was almost empty. Our dead bolt on our door also didn’t work, not a huge deal cause we had our dog so I wasn’t worried. The back entrance we used the door didn’t shut properly so anyone could’ve walked in without a keycard. Positives; Dennys was located right there, clean bathroom, clean and comfy bed, pet friendly, close to the highway, pool (just a note: did have to walk outside to the other building to get to the pool) and the price was decent. Overall I would stay again despite the things we didn’t like.

We were in town for a meet. The hotel is very conveniently located by the 401 which was great for its proximity to the rink. We got off to a bad start. The room we were assigned was in the next building. When we got there the key didn’t work, it was cold and we’re traveling with two kids. We had to go back to the desk in the other building, they forgot to activate it. Once inside the building it looked run down with peeling wallpaper in many places. For some reason the hallway our room was down had bunches of towels outside most rooms, it was late afternoon. The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was rather dark. The towels and toilet paper were scratchy but the tub was nice and deep. The kids liked how warm the pool was and the exercise room was okay, though the bike’s resistance didn’t work. To add insult to injury when we got home we discovered an additional $12 + tax charge - for parking! Ridiculous! We often visit Kingston but won’t be staying at the Ramada again. There are lots of good hotels in Kingston, this isn’t one of them.

This hotel is old run down, carpets look dirty and stained. We arrived to garbage left in our room. The doors all have to be slammed shut to close. This makes it really annoying to sleep hearing doors slamming all night long. The TV reception is analog and fuzzy. The internet is so slow you will give up trying to connect and just turn to your mobile plans data if you want to get on the internet. The shower head in the bathroom is so low that your head is above the shower head. No joke, and I am not extremely tall. On the morning of our first shower we started drying off only to find brown stains all over a towel. See picture. The toilet paper on the roll had about 5 sheets remaining. Sure there was one on the shelf, but they could have replaced the 5 sheet roll with a new one and left another full one on the shelf. I do NOT recommend this hotel. There are far better hotels in the same area.

I had booked the only one bedroom king suite two months in advance. I even received a reminder email two days prior confirming the room reservation. Arrived on the day of to find that our reservation was cancelled and changed WITHOUT notification to an outdated queen room in the pool building. The assistant manager on duty could not explain what happened except to say that their system says I made the reservation only the day before!!! Even with me showing her the original reservation and confirmation email from two days ago! Queen room was hot and dingy. Immediately left and booked another hotel...will never stay at the Ramada again. Blame placed on customer for their shady shenanigans. Even with a confirmation, don’t assume you will have your room when you arrive. HORRIBLE!!

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us in regards to the issues with your reservation. We apologize again for the error in which our system allowed our only suite at the property to be booked twice. We entirely understand your frustration and appreciate your patience with the matter. Our Front Desk team tried to make things right by lowering the rate and providing a second room to you at no additional cost but we understand that the expectation was for the room type that was reserved. We apologize for our short comings and thank you again for you valuable feedback. Derek Millar Front Office Manager dmillar@ramadakingston.com 613 546 3661 ext 381

We stayed 2 nights from Aug 27 to 29. On our first night there was a big truck that unloading cargo from 10:40 to 11:35 pm at night right at our outdoor space (room 104) It was impossible for us (2 adults and 2 kids 2 & 5) to sleep, i went 3 times to the reception to tell them that this was unacceptable and the first 2 times they told me they would take care of it, the last time i was answered by the night manager that they cannot do anything as they always unload at this time. He clearly did not care that we paid rooms to sleep and if they always do this at that hour of the night, why were we not informed?? Unloading should be done at reasonable hours not when families are trying to sleep. The manager just did not care and nothing for an apology. I am so disappointed!!!

I booked the quality inn for 3 nights. When I arrived on July 16/24 I had a room with two queen beds. I checked both beds and there were multiple stains on each bed, with hair in the beds. There was white liquid sprayed across my mirror in the room and bathroom. The floor was filthy, there were ear wigs and dirt all over the place. The bathtub had hair and dirt all in it. I called immediately for assistance and the housekeeper who came to help brought the linen in a clear bag all clumped together. She was not helpful or impressed she was there, she told me thats what the sheets look like they are all stained. She did not even assist me in stripping or remaking any of the beds. she did clean the mirror and said she would have housekeeping tomorrow clean the room, as she also stated the room clearly had not been cleaned at all. After all this, I was never offered a discount or anything. In fact they charged me an extra 20$ on my credit card when I was advised I was only charged for the deposit. When I called to ask why I have this charge, they advised me it was because I did not pay the third party (expedia) up front, which is a LIE. I did pay upfront. When the front desk confirmed I did pay upfront they then changed the story and said I was charged because of parking fees. I advised I was never told I would have to pay extra for parking, he then stated I initialed next to it. I stated I was told I had to sign my car information of what the make and model was, not that I would be charged. Thoroughly disgusted with this companies customer service, cleanliness and lack of assistance. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

The room needs updating, paint and banged up walls. There was a turd in the toilet, so not sure how well the cleaning staff clean. They obviously didn't clean the toilet. And Ive never had to pay for parking at a motel before, so that alone makes me not want to ever book at another quality inn again. Also, the pet fee is way above all other motels I've stayed at.

Very disappointing experience. Used as one night rest stop on way home to Ottawa. We were exhausted. The air in the room was noticeably stale and musty. The smell did not improve throughout the night. Not good! The sheets were very wrinkly, but appeared to be clean. The door from the parking lot to the first floor rooms was not secure. The card key was ineffective and the door could be easily pulled open in any event. My 14 year old son said he would rather have slept in the car. When advised of the issues noted above, I was advised the hotel would waive the $6.00 parking fee. Whoopdeedoo! We have travelled extensively throughout Ontario and Quebec this summer and had good service at the hotels we have used. This is by far the worst experience we have had. I will never stay at a “Quality” Inn again.

Good afternoon!
Our hotel is attached to a Dennys restaurant, but it is not included in the room rate. They do offer a 10% discount to all guests from the hotel however!
