The Hampton Inn by Hilton Kingston offers a modern atmosphere with a touch of home, earning praise for its spacious, clean rooms and comfortable furnishings. According to reviews, the amenities, including the commendable breakfast options, are a highlight, as is the outstanding service provided by friendly and professional staff.
While travelers appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and updated features, some express concern over the value due to the strict non-smoking policy and associated fines. Nonetheless, the comfortable beds and overall room quality receive positive mentions.

Hotel's Favourite
If you know Hampton Inns, you know what to expect, and this property delivers on all accounts. It is a newer building, and everything about it is new and fresh, too. We were very impressed with the staff as well, especially Kate who welcomed us on our arrival. She engaged us in a conversation about our trip, and we shared that we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. When we were out for dinner, Kate left a delicious dessert treat and a personal note of congratulations in our room for us to find when we returned. How very nice - and that is an indictor of the way you will be treated at this Hampton Inn - excellent personal service. Thank you Kate!
TIP: Your GPS may not bring you right to the hotel, but rather to the long driveway leading to it. Look for the building in the distance when you are on Innovation Drive (beside the Tim Hortons).

This place was brand new and really nice! The staff were also very friendly. The view from the room was lovely, and I liked that they had zero waste shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The location was good, about 10 min drive or so from downtown Kingston, and the area was quiet. Also, the breakfast was much better than I was expecting, with vegan options including oatmeal and cereal with oat milk. For non-vegans, there were eggs, waffles, etc.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

The Hampton Inn in Kingston opened in July 2022, and as a result, it has many great amenities and looks very fresh. Our room was big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We also appreciated having a microwave (and mini fridge) in the room. The shower was roomy and worked well. We also enjoyed a swim in the pool, which was very relaxing. The pool is not huge but also wasn't too busy so we had a great time. There are a number of accessibility features in the hotel, such as a lever in the pool area and voice-activated rooms, which were great to see. However, the best part of the stay was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, courteous, and professional - I would return for that reason alone.

Brand new! Don't think anyone had ever stayed in our room before. Clean and not a far drive from the waterfront, this hotel has lots of potential but was still trying to get things right when we stayed there. Super comfy beds, if you like a firmer mattress. Great idea to have large dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower - much better for the planet than those little disposable bottles - but the dispensers were already coming off the shower walls. The TV in our room didn't work, but they sent someone up to look at it. When that person was unable to get it to work, they offered to switch our room or give us a discounted rate. Breakfast was decent, but shut down promptly at nine, so don't sleep in. An extended breakfast period would have been nice, especially as many of us were on vacation and operating at a slower pace... Not enough room for everyone to sit in the dining area, so many people were carrying breakfast up to their room. An outdoor dining area would be a welcome addition. Garbage and recycling bins also not large enough to hold everything left after breakfast. All in all, a decent stop on our way home from Montreal.

Dear Compass564600, Thank you for taking the time to comment about your recent experience with us. Your feed back is very important to us and yes we are ironing out some of the issues as we speak and one of them happens to be the shower dispensers installed in the washrooms. Our breakfast area can get quite crowded specially on sold out nights as we only have limited seating available and will definitely consider some of the recommendations you have suggested.. As a Hilton property we strive to deliver exceptional service and product to our valued guests and I am happy that our team was able to achieve that. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you again during your next visit to Kingston. Sincerely, Niran Abeysinghe General Manager

My Garmin GPS had no idea the hotel existed. On leaving the 401 the list of hotels at the exit did not include this one. I knew it would be on the left, next to a Tims. Neither had a lit sign. Therefore we had passed the turnoff before we saw it in the twilight.
Our room had a roll-in shower. It failed the first rule of showers. The curtain must be inside or water will be on the bathroom floor. In this shower, the curtain was about 8 inches off the floor. The rod bows out so that the curtain is over the bathroom floor.
My wife found there were no coat hangers - they would have been useless since there was no rod for them.

We really enjoyed our stay in this brand new and clean hotel! There were little touches that other hotels have moved away from such as 24 hour hot beverage service in the lobby! There were disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer dispensers all throughout the lobby! The room was spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable! The complementary breakfast was on time and had hot and cold selections. Check in and out was an ease! Highly recommend and will return!

Clean, comfortable, wonderful colour palette!
We were in a King studio room with a pullout sofa bed. The King bed was great and slightly on the firm side which suited us perfectly. There were 4 pillows on the bed and they were perfectly fine for us. We don’t like hard or soft pillows but rather something in the middle and we got just that! The pullout is great and comfortable for kids.
The room was perfect for our family of 3. The kitchenette is great with mini-fridge and microwave.
Loved the pool and hot tub which is open from 9am to 9pm. There is an outdoor patio too! The hot tub was hot and the pool was great for short laps. It took me about 13 - 14 strokes to get to the other side
We visited during the week and it was not over crowded at all.
Staff are so nice and the free breakfast was satisfying!
Staff are accommodating and helpful. Loved that the buffet breakfast offered 2 types of waffles. Eggs, meat products were available with selections of teas and coffee, cereal, baked goods, fruit and yogurt. There are several seating areas. Community table to little intimate/private seating nooks. They have it all.
Very close to the Business Park and a few restaurants in the area. We went to see the Kingston Mill Locks nearby the hotel which was fascinating to watch. Open to 5pm weekdays and 6pm weekends.
An easy 10 min drive to downtown. No traffic to get to downtown. This hotel is located east of downtown in a newer part of Kingston on the east side.
We stayed 2 nights and were sad to go. This hotel was a great get-away for our family.
To the staff and Management, job well done! We miss you already and we look forward to staying again on our next trip to Kingston!

Free surface parking, in the same lot as a Tim Horton's and some other shops.
We had room 315 (via using Hilton points). We checked in using the app but when we arrived they had no record of us checking in and we got a different room than what we chose on the app. Clean enough, 2 queen beds but I find hotel queens to be like doubles now - we were travelling with 2 teens and our family is quite tall/big so next time we'll have to get 2 rooms to be fully comfortable.
Mini fridge included but no small freezer. We didn't use the coffee machine or microwave. Breakfast was great - make your own waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, so much!
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion via wall pumps in bathroom/shower.
This is not close to the downtown/waterfront area - you will need a car or transport of some kind to get there. Drive is 10 minutes, easy enough but then finding parking was a little frustrating.

Amazing! We had an overnight getaway at the Hampton Inn Kingston to celebrate our anniversary, our first time at this property. We arrived before check in but our room was ready, the young lady at reception was very friendly, she asked the reason for our stay so we told her we were celebrating our anniversary. After dropping off our bags we went out on the town and didn’t get back to the room until late, to our surprise the manager (Pam) left us a card with a plate of goodies, without a doubt the best lemon cookies we’ve ever had and delicious banana bread too ! The location is a bit far from downtown but was not an issue for us, there is a Tim Hortons next door and a variety of fast food across the street, very convenient. Breakfast was fresh and hot and who doesn’t love an included breakfast, another reason why we stay at Hilton properties. We had a nice swim after breakfast and then hit the road. We have another stay booked for the September long weekend with a group of friends can we put in our order for lemon cookies now ? Lol
Thank you Pam and team for a memorable stay, see you in a couple of months.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon for a Christmas Party for my work and were staying overnight and checking out on the Saturday.
Prior to getting to the hotel, I received several emails to download the Hilton Honours App and check in via the mobile App. After the third email, I decided to check it out and download the app and check in. From what the emails were saying, the mobile check in is a lot quicker and easier. So, why not try it. The App was easy to use, and we were able to pick our own room. After checking in online, I didn't think anything else of it.
We got to the hotel, and they couldn't find our reservation or our confirmation of checking in. They looked (there were two desk workers helping us check in), but couldn't find it. After about five to seven minutes, they finally found it and we had our key cards ready to go.
Also, the elevators were not working prior to when we got there, and they only had one operating as they were working on the other for quite a while. If we had checked in ten minutes earlier, we would have had to walk up six flights of stairs with all our luggage.
When we opened the door to the room, we saw that it was new and clean, but when we walked into the main area, and looked up, we noticed that the ceiling was cracked all across from one wall to the other...not a very good first impression. I was not happy and wanted to call and change rooms, but my partner said that it was fine, just "new build flaws". Of course, the whole time we were there, that's all I kept thinking of was the cracking on the ceiling and wondering if there would be more chunks falling down and hitting us while we were asleep.......(see pictures attached)
The beds were comfortable, the pillows, blankets and sheets all combined made a great sleep for us. We even commented on how the bed and bedding were really comfortable to sleep. The furniture was all new and there was a very large tv, maybe 55" in size. Great channels and all in all, a pretty good room. We didn't use the fridge or microwave, but they were there if needed.
Bathroom was clean and tidy, but again, a flaw in the shower. Seems that the caulking was a rushed job, or someone didn't care about the finishing touches. It was sloppy work and it showed. Everything else in the bathroom looked great, but the shower looked like it was about ten years old.
A good stay all in all, it's brand new...but has a few flaws to iron out.
