After a fantastic visit to Hotel Wolfe Island, my friend and I tell everyone to go, stay with Chris, enjoy the music, casual hospitality, fresh air, good food and memories. It’s unique. Free ferry ride.

Do yourself a favor and do not go there, we refused to spend the night. Vomit stain on the carpet and sheets stained with urine. The overall place is a disaster. There is no evidence of upkeep and it looks run down.

Room was good, but bed was not comfortable. This hotel is in the middle of a village, there is one store and a couple of restaurants. Very busy place in the summer, winter is soooo quiet. There is no room service, people are very friendly, and price is cheap.

We had heard that new management had made this place a great place to stay, so we tried it. It’s ok, they really are only prepared for weekend stays, they did not have enough housekeeping staff, and the restaurant was only open for dinner with only about half of the items on the menu available. Some staff are truly great and others are just not into being there. I hope they can turn the place around.

You will not find a more friendly and welcoming general manager, house keeping and bar staff as the General Wolfe Hotel. This hotel is dated, but very clean and comfortable. Under new ownership, this hotel is making improvements to win back the Wolfe's reputation from many years ago. My wife and I were told about this Inn from a friend who stayed at the Inn 20 years ago. Location is great, couple minutes from ferry dock. Don't expect a 5 star hotel, but you will get the hospitality of a 5 star and better.

We went to the General Wolfe Inn as they had some local bands playing, there was a 50 Anniversary party in the Piano bar so we went into the main bar area. It is a little tied looking, could do with redecorating & new furniture .

Oh man... talk about a waste of time. On the Friday evening of the long weekend (June 30) a bunch of us attended an Open House at the Wolfe Island Gallery (which has some pretty neat creations, btw) and headed off for supper. One of the people we were with is an Islander and wanted to try this place b/c of the new management and how they spent a fortune putting in a beautiful terraced patio. I felt a little hinky b/c it was dinner time on the holiday weekend and only five tables were occupied. Hey self! (that's what I say when I talk to myself) don't be such a downer, maybe your timing's perfect! Uhhh... NO. Five tables occupied, three servers working the floor and we were ignored for 20 minutes. WHUT? Did I have a booger hanging from my nose? I asked my wife- nope. Did I have some obscene growth sticking out of my head? Uh-uh. Then... whuuut? OK- so we took ourselves elsewhere, big deal, right? But when I went to the other joint, I asked two of the customers 'What's up with that place?' One told me that word got around about the servers pretty quickly, and the other one said that I wasn't missing much food wise. Fair ball. Honestly, the last time I was in a restaurant that made me feel that unwelcome was... well, never. What an amateur operation. If they can't figure out how to run the front of the place I'd be scared to see what goes on in the kitchen.

We came for Canada day and has a great time. We sat on the patio and enjoyed dinner with a nice view, where we were able to park our boat. The band was great and we stayed in the owners suite with a group of our friends. The bed were very comfortable and the sheets amazingly soft. The service was great and we can't wait to come back.

I had lunch at the newly owned General Wolfe Inn on the weekend and it was hands down a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. The owner greeted me and thanked me for coming. The service was quick (had my food within 15 minutes) and the new patio is basically ON the water. I will definitely be back lot's this summer!
