We chose it because it was reasonably priced and we were travelling with our dog. Close to the national park and also convenient to use as a base to go on some winery tours in Essex county. Would go back again.

Don't know about spa or closest swimming pool - although the lake is about 2 blocks away. Yes, private bathrooms and yes, some rooms on the ground floor.
