Love the pool. The slide was closed on the Sunday we went although they said it would be open but honestly, we were happy with the waterfall and hot tub! Rooms were a bit loud at night because there are lots of kids in the hotel- we travelled with kids so not a problem for us, but could be disruptive for someone travelling without kids who doesn't appreciate their squeals and running through the halls, lol! The arcade ate our money and when the staff was trying to help us, his manager (Kiran) stopped him and told us we could get our money back at checkout. Hi Excursion42727239381, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased while at the Lamplighter Inn you enjoyed your time in the pool but apologize you were not aware in advance of arrival of the waterslide hours. Currently the pool is open every day during the week. It opens at 8am daily and closes at 10pm Sunday - Thursday with Friday & Saturday closing at 11pm. The waterslide is currently open Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday morning. We hope to soon have the slide operational throughout the week and will update our website when this happens. My apologies for your encounter with Management and can understand your frustration in not having the lost money refunded that same night. I will review with Management their money return policy and look for ways to improve the process. Thank you for sharing this. My apologies as well you sat on a pin that was left in the stuffed chair. I will advise our Executive Housekeeper so she is aware and can review the cleaning procedures with her team. this place was super fun for my 7 and 3 year olds. love the pool, hot tub. rooms were basic but very clean, staff was excellent. it was a nice little staycation on a cold, grey, rainy april. we had a blast. my only complaint is that they need to clean the pool far more often. we saw staff regularly testing the water and restocking towels, etc. which is great. but there was so much hair in the pool. clumps of it kept brushing up against me and i had to take them out of the pool, which is revolting. please have your team scoop the water with a net every hour or so! it's such a busy pool and getting stranger's hair on you when you are swimming is...gross. my daughter was swimming around with a fishing net and kept getting long hair caught in it, that was floating around the…

The atrium here is a beautiful place to sit back, relax and take in the beautiful scenery or enjoy a swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub or take a ride down the roaring mountain waterslide. There is something here for everyone. The best part of the atrium is with all the lush gardens, palm trees, waterfalls and koi pond the area really makes you feel like you are somewhere tropical. What a cool place to bring your family. The pool and slide are amazing. The rooms that have a view of the pool have a balcony, which is key when you have a toddler. The only thing I would recommend is to bring your own pillows. The pillows are the very thick foam chunk pillows.

It was a great place to stay for a conference. The hotel pool and visiting area was unlike I have seen, with an indoor pool and beautiful plants. The day of the conference was well organized by staff, meals were smooth, and staff were considerate of speakers (e.g., they were very quiet when bringing food).

Really crappy when you get your kids excited to go on the water slides and they are not open. The hot tub was closed for a bit and when opened it was cold. Staff was very friendly. My kids loved the games room

My apologies as well for the temporary closure of the hot tub. There was an unexpected issue that arose where maintenance had to close the hot tub for a short time to fix it. They worked as fast as they could to cause as little disruption as possible to our guests. My apologies when it was reopened the water was cold for a time period. I do hope while here you were able to explore the property and take advantage of everything else the hotel has to offer our guests. Thank you again for your review. Wonderful hotel! Amazing staff that are really friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay awesome! Room was a little too far from front of hotel and a little noisy with all the kids! I like a room closer to the front foyer and restaurant

The hotel is located in a great area in London, so many great restaurants around. Hotel was clean, staff was very welcoming. Pool and water slide was clean and relaxing. If you're thinking to go with family go ahead, you won't be disappointed.

You are correct, the hotel is located in a well established area surrounded by many great restaurants, shopping centres, walking trails and so much more. The location is also easily accessible to the 401 as well downtown. Our staff here try to ensure every one of our guests enjoys their time at the Lamplighter. Guests are greeted with a warm welcome by our Front Desk team and staff are ready to assist whenever needed. The atrium area is a huge attraction for our guests. Guests can choose to enjoy their time in the pool, hot tub and for the more adventurous take a ride down the mountain waterslide. The atrium is also the perfect place to sit back and relax all while being surrounded by the lush gardens and palm trees. If you have not experienced the Lamplighter Inn in the summer months you definitely need to. The glass roof slides back to the open sky above creating a warm breeze throughout the area. This hotel used to be nice, and the hallways are renovated, but the rooms are old and tired, at least the one I was in. My room was dirty when I arrived, including grungy carpet, bits of dried up something on the wooden bathroom door, and one of the bathroom lights not working. My reservation indicated a mini fridge, but there was not one in the room. It did have a microwave, randomly plunked in the middle of the desk in the room. You have to put out a door sign indicating you want the room to be cleaned/made up which I didn’t know and was never told by the check in staff. The hotel wing I was in was noisy both nights until very late at night. Upon check out in person, no one asked me how my experience was. Do not recommend.

Hi lisamT8524CL, Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. I would like to apologize your stay did not meet your expectations and can understand your disappointment. I will be sure to advise our Executive Housekeeper of your review regarding your guest room so she is aware and can review with her staff. Rooms are to be thoroughly cleaned and then inspected by a Supervisor before a room is rented out. All guest rooms are equipped with mini fridges but it is possible the one that was in your guest room was removed for maintenance. Please know if there is anything you need we ask that you contact the Front Desk. Staff could have brought a replacement fridge to your room for you if you wanted. Through guest feedback we have heard the importance of having microwaves available in guest rooms. They were purchased for the hotel and have been placed in all guest rooms. Counter space is a little more limited now but we hope to soon have microwave stands added to the rooms. You are correct. At this time if you would like your room serviced the sign on your door would need to indicate this or you can schedule a room clean with our Front Desk team. My apologies you were not advised of this upon check in. With this property being a destination hotel and all the entertainment offered to our guests the atrium does get busy and with it being a large open area noise travels easy. We have found though once the pool, hot tub and waterslide closes the noise levels tend to drop. Upon check out staff should be asking all of our guests how their stays were. We value our guests feedback as this helps us to improve and deliver a memorable experience to you and other guests in the future. I do hope this past stay does not prevent you from staying with us again in the future. It really is a great property to stay at. We love this hotel when traveling to London. Great area, great amenities and a great restaurant. Parking can be difficult sometimes with the conferences happening but usually not bad. We really enjoy this hotel.

We never knew the water slide was closed until we were in the pool. It should be open all the time. When I called to book for a Tuesday night, I was under the assumption the slide would be open! Why wouldn’t it be? It would have been nice to know that before booking.
