Booked King Suite. Impressive Atrium with pool/hot tub. Temp in room was cold. Despite raising temp, stayed cold. Toilet kept running unless we adjusted handle. Sign said grab-n-go breakie - not true. Got -20%. Will not return here again.

Hi Angela v, Thank you for taking the time to complete a review on your stay with us. We are pleased you enjoyed your King Suite and the atrium area at the hotel. You are correct, the tropical atrium at the hotel is impressive. It's always fun to see the look on our guest's faces when they see the atrium for the 1st time. It truly is a beautiful area to relax in and take in everything around you. My apologies though there were some issues that occurred in your guest room. If there is an issue with something not functioning properly we ask that you contact our Front Desk to let them know. Staff could have sent someone to the room to correct anything that needed to be fixed/reset and if for some reason it could not be fixed offer to move you to another room. We are here for our guest's 24/7 to assist any way we can. There is a sign in the lobby that does mention a Grab & Go breakfast among other things. The sign was placed there during COVID times so our guests are aware of what was happening around the hotel. Because we have an open, fully functioning restaurant on site, the Grab & Go is no longer an option but we still do offer take out. I have asked Management to cover the Grab & Go option as it is misleading to guests. I was glad to see that you brought your concerns to our team and a 20% discount was offered and accepted. I do hope this past stay with us does not prevent you from staying with us again in the future. We value our guests feedback and this helps up to learn and improve going forward. I wanted to plan a getaway with my girls, but didn’t want to go too far from home (Niagara area) and still wanted something fun for them to do within the hotel or in the area. As a single mom the big water parks are too much to handle as my one daughter will be in the lineups for hours while I’m in the pool with my youngest. The Lamplighter was recommended to me because it has the water slide open on Friday and Saturdays. This was a happy medium and my oldest had a blast. The staff is super friendly and the room service was great! We got hit with a big snow storm so we didn’t leave the hotel at all, and that was totally fine with me. The room service had amazing food with large portions. There is also lots of restaurants on the same street if you do want to go out for dinner.…

I was at the best Western for a wedding. The hotel was lovely. The pool area and the rooms were very nice. Staff is excellent. My only complaint was the coffee from the in-room coffee maker wasn't very good. The food at the restaurant was very good.

My apologies though you did not like the in-room coffee offered. We actually just switched all coffee makers in the hotel and our coffee selection as our guest's wanted to see coffee makers that uses pods so they could bring their own preferred coffee if they chose to. So you are aware, Shelly's Tap and Grill here on the property offers a different selection of coffee from the guest rooms as well espresso's, cappuccino's and more. Two night were definitely not enough, we live less than 50 kilometers away from this hotel but absolutely love it and all the amenities, it's located within walking distance to many great restaurants as well. Very helpful and friendly staff!!!

Booked 4 rooms one of which was to be a suite for entertaining. The suite ended up being a double bed separated from the other rooms. Not happy with the fact that the rooms we asked for months in advance were not booked for us. The room my wife and I were given had a very poor view of the pool and we couldn't even watch the grandkids playing in the pool.

I understand this would be disappointing and I apologize. While our guests are welcome to place requests on reservations such as side by side please know these are requests but not guarantees. We do our best to fulfill all guest requests but unfortunately there are times we are unable to. Our apologies as well you were not satisfied with the view from your room. Please know staff are here 24/7 for our guest's. If there is something you are not satisfied with we ask that you contact our team to let us know. Wonderful Staff, so helpful, any time I needed something it was met with a smile and results . I required their help several times and each time they treated me like I was their only guest. I even went to the restaurant to buy a coffee and she asked if I was coming back for breakfast and I said yes - no change for the take out coffee - so nice

Price vs quality does not compute. This standard room was 204 on a weekday. The rooms are outdated and in need of repair. The carpet was bubbling and in need of a deep clean. The bathroom had no heat and I felt as if I was showering outdoors in the snow. The fire alarms malfunctioned late into the night. Although I understand this is not within anyones control, needing to wake up very early for work the next day made this a major inconvenience. The meeting rooms and facilities are nice and the atrium with the pool seems appealing, but if you are not using these facilities I would not recommend staying here.

It was not a malfunction but rather a person who pulled the alarm creating a large disturbance. We booked a last minute family getaway. Our first one in years and this place exceeded our expectations. Food in restaurant was 10/10. Slide is only open Friday night and Saturday incase that is important to you. We hope to come back again soon! Kids had a blast!
