Stayed here with our two kids, ages 10 and 12. I'm sorry I didn't discover Lamplighter sooner. It was so much fun, and very clean. We ate at Shelly's twice and while service was a bit slow, the food was great and prices reasonable/ same as if we had ventured out for off-site restaurant. We will definitely return.

Whether you want to sit back and relax in our tropical atrium surrounded by palm trees and lush gardens or be adventurous and take a ride down the roaring mountain waterslide, swim in the pool or kick back in the hot tub there is something here everyone will enjoy. We are happy everyone enjoyed their time here. Everyone should experience the tropical atrium here. In the summer months when the weather is warm the glass roof in the atrium slides back to the open sky above. Front desk staff very accommodating for our group booking and for my father who was in a wheelchair. Great rooms, fantastic time at the pool! Staff very attentive to the facility, plants, pool, etc. just beautiful!!

Hotel staff were great and extremely friendly. Room was a little under par, there were stains on our bedding and the comforters looked extremely old. The pool is great and kids absolutely loved the water slide.

Visited hotel with daughter, son, and spouse. Very clean and well maintained property. Great pool and waterslide area. Restaurant was also very well priced with good food. Will be back to enjoy the hotel in the future.

We stayed over Christmas. The pool is fun but the more people in the hotel the dirtier it gets. We had to ask for our room to be vacuumed and had cold food because the hotel staff took 3 trips from the kitchen to get the full order delivered. By Boxing Day the pool area was disgusting. I saw a wet popsicle stick disintegrating on the steps to the pool in the same place for 2 or 3 days in a row. Most of the staff were really friendly but we were disappointed overall with the cost and lack of cleanliness. We thought we were getting an atrium room and we did but it was behind the water slide. FYI, if you are looking for a view of the pool best to double check. The rooms aren’t very sound proof so you can hear your neighbours at all hours as well.

Hi sear309, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I would like to start by apologizing you did not find the hotel to be as clean after a few days with us as when you had checked in. The hotel did not have as much staff working as we normally would as it was the Christmas holidays and staff wanted to be home with family. The staff that were here working did their best to try to ensure the hotel was clean but can see by your review they were not able to keep up and I apologize. My apologies as well by the time you had received your full food order it was cold and caused by staff not being fully prepared. I can understand this would be a disappointing experience. At the hotel we either offer atrium view or non atrium view rooms. Atrium view rooms face the inner courtyard area and non atrium face the parking lot. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee our guest's a view of the pool so we call them atrium view rooms simply meaning you are facing the atrium. Our guest's are more than welcome to contact our team once reserved and we will try our best to fulfill any requests you may have. Thank you again for completing a review. Found a cockroach at midday in our room during our second day of our stay. They told us they would block off our one room and their policy is to only deal with the one room, not fumigate the hotel. Anyone who knows anything about roaches knows this will not deal with the problem and them being seen in the daylight indicates a serious infestation. They didnt give a full refund, let alone any sort of compensation to get our things professionally cleaned or replaced. They didn't inform any other guests and we didnt even see them block off the room. On top of that the TV wasnt working correctly and the heating system also didnt work. Those issues we looked passed because it was our daughters 3rd birthday and we mostly went for the pool. Knowing there are roaches infesting the place…

This hotel makes you feel like you are at a tropical resort without leaving the country. The waterslide is so fun and the palm trees make you smile. The upper deck is a great place for family games night. The arcade keeps kids of all ages busy for hours.

The best part about the atrium is no matter the weather outside it is always tropical at the Lamplighter Inn year round. In the summer months when the weather is warm the glass roof slides back to the open sky above creating a warm breeze throughout. Summer time in the atrium should be experienced by all. We arrived on Christmas Day, stayed for 2 nights. The check in gentleman gave us a complimentary upgrade when I kindly asked for a different view. Room was ready to go and we even got an early check in time of 30 mins. Which was awesome because we were able to hit the pool by 16:00 on Christmas Day!!!

My family and I stayed here to get away for the night with friends. The pool area was very nice , but our hotel room was very cold from a draft coming in from under the patio door. Also our bed was broken. Was not very happy.

We are happy to read you enjoyed the pool but apologize you found the room to be cold due to a draft from the patio door and as well did not find the bed to be comfortable. Please know staff are here 24/7. If there is an issue with your room we ask that you contact the Front Desk so we are aware. Staff could have tried to find a way to prevent the draft as well inspect the bed. An option could have been provided to move you to another room if the problem could not be fixed. I have asked our Maintenance team to check on both the patio door as well the bed so if there is an issue we can fix it. Thank you again for your review.
