We stayed for a night and wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will definitely return!
We booked a 1br king bed suite and we’re impressed by the size, cleanliness and amenities the room had to offer. It was like having an apartment.
There was a nice kitchen with a full-size fridge with ice maker in the freezer, a small but perfectly suitable dishwasher, a 2 burner cooktop, a Keurig coffee machine with k-cups and all the kitchen items you’d need for a comfortable stay.
The bathroom was well stocked with towels, mirrored lighting, a walk-in in shower with full sliding glass doors, shampoo, conditioner & body wash available on the wall.
The bedding was comfortable, the room had its own temperature control (from the rest of the unit) and blackout curtains as well as a TV.
The main living area contained a bistro set with 4 chairs for meals, a large pull out couch in an “L” shape format with built in plug in recharging stations. The seating area was faux leather while the back is cloth (likely to help with cleanliness). Bedding for the pullout was available in the hallway closet.
There was a TV and large desk area, again with built in charging stations and plugs.
We had a corner unit that had windows with blackout curtains on each wall.
The lighting was very nice throughout.
Elevator service was always quick.
Breakfast was just okay. The hot food wasn’t something I would probably go for again, but there was enough to get your morning started with cereals, yogurts & croissants etc.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
I was especially impressed with Husain (sp?) from the night shift. He was fantastic! He assisted me with my questions prior to booking and then again after my reservation was made. He was absolutely fantastic and is an amazing asset to the hotel!
Although some reviews indicated the hotel wasn’t in the greatest part of town, we found no problem walking around. The hotel has rooms are recently renovated and this really is a gem of a place!

I imagine the renovated suites at the Residence Inn would beat anything in a similar price range in London, Ontario. We explored a few options but decided on the Residence Inn because we were planning a longer stay and it gave us more room and a full kitchen. The hotel staff were truly incredible and really accommodating and responsive. I am really glad that we chose the Residence Inn for our stay and this will be our first choice if we need something in London again.

This is an old hotel but it offers you a ton of space that most hotels don't offer. Some floors have been renovated and I would only return if we given a renovated room. We were originally given an "original" room and after the first night I went to discuss the rooms appearance with the General Manager. She was extremely professional and we were very satisfied with how it was resolved. We immediately switched to a renovated room which made our stay extremely pleasant. Lesson learned: always ask for a renovated room.

I have stayed in Residence Inn's in many locations. Disappointing is the only word I can use to describe it. Shoddy and poorly maintained furnishings, garbage left in the room and in other locations within the property. News of a pool being available after we arrived without the necessary pool going essentials and parking for $20 dollars a night in an area crawling with homeless people. Disappointing on every account. Save your money and stay well away from this city. In addition to the hotel experience I received a $40 ticket for parking on a street in the city even though the area was not signed. Contacted the Mayor and his office suggested I read the signs as I enter the city because that is where the information is posted. This city is a shell of its former self and if you wish to feel safe, enjoy a stay and feel you got your moneys worth...go somewhere else within Southern Ontario.

Dear valued guest, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Residence Inn and providing your honest feedback on the Guest Satisfaction Survey. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. I have shared your comments with the team to ensure we are delivering helpful service to all guest inquiries or concerns.. We are located in downtown where parking is at a premium. I do apologize that parking is part of the cost of the hotel stay. We do have the flexibility of offering both in and out door parking. Many of our guest really appreciate the indoor parking during inclement weather. Excited to share that our hotel is undergoing a renovation already to update the decor of our guest suites and lobby area. The renovation will elevate the experience at our hotel for valued members such as yourself. Once again, thank you for your valued feedback and we hope you visit our property again to see our new look. Sincerely, Nav Sandhu Rooms Division Manager

Location: the hotel is named as downtown but it is not really right downtown.
Parking: the hotel has a small underground garage that is probably the second worst garage I have seen principally because it is so small, dark with narrow lane ways and tight spots and poor signage. Enter by key card after check in.
Rooms are standard fare with enough space but the bathroom was small and the shower could have been cleaned more. Also the couch was dirty and the kitchen was lit poorly. However it was quiet but mostly due to the pandemic
Service was below average as they don’t seem to recognize platinum Marriott benefits in full.
Breakfast was decent but they were sadly under staffed as one person was left alone to do the breakfast takeout.
Elevators were also bad during a pandemic as you have to wait until it’s only you or your family so most took the stairs.
Overall. No need to come back here on our next trip to London.

The two bedroom suite we had was spacious. There are two bathrooms, one like an ensuite attached to one of the bedrooms, one three steps across the hallway from the other bedroom.. Separate climate controls for each room that worked effectively and relatively quietly. I actually like some white noise while going to sleep so ability to turn keep the fan on (if one chooses) regardless of tenperature setting is a plus. Three TV's, one in the common area, and in each bedroom.

Overall made a good impression in terms of being clean and well maintained.. Bedding (sheets, pilows etc.) and towels were decent quailty.. Showerheads situated too low for me but this is an issue with so many hotels. Anyone over 5'2" or so has to do a little bending and crouching in the shower to get immersed.

Standard hotel doors, meaning everytime your neighbours come and go from their rooms it makes a thundering racket. Again, a pretty common issue.

Good wifi.

Parking in an underground garage with direct access to the hotel. Rates pretty standard,

The only glitch was at check in. Our room wasn't ready apparently and we had to wait 20 minutes or so in the lobby. Never understood how a room booked in advance ends up not ready by the time customer arrives but it's not the first time it's happened to me. For the inconvience our parking was complimentary (a $20 value I think).

Having said that, the front desk and breakfast room staff were cheerful and helpful. I don't always get names but I'd like to thank Romeo and all the staf we had interactions with.

Some of the elements in our room seemed quite new and I was satisfied overall. I'd recommend this place if your're looking for a three star hotel in downtown London. Price seemed in line with other hotels in town.

I have stayed at many Residence Inns all over Canada and the U.S. I love Marriott's but this one left MUCH to be desired.

First I was left with a very uncomfortable feeling by the young woman at Check Inn. The Even in times of Covid 19 when everything is supposed to be cleaned more thoroughly it was quite dirty. The couch was black in most areas. Cupboards were not cleaned properly at all. When I had called to book I was told breakfast would be included but when I checked in they told me no it wasn't. I said that is the reason why I booked in the first place as I usually go to another Marriott in London. They did call to find out that yes I was right but it still left me uneasy like I had to fight for my request. Finally when I booked out I had to ask about charges that I did not know what they were. I had booked with points so the room should have been free. The young lady told me she would email me a new receipt which she did but again I felt I should not have had to ask in the first place. On the good side.
When I called for something one night, it was brought to my room promptly even if I said I could go get it.
I will not return to this hotel. I thought I would give it a try but see that I should stick to my usual.

I requested for 1 bedroom suite and got it very easily. The hotel was very clean and the room was very spacious and had a great look. Unfortunately, the pool was closed to due to COVID, but the gym was open. The breakfast was "grab n go" style and it had variety of choices and good food. The food service manager, Chaminda W. was very professional and had great customer service. I had great conversations with him. The front desk staff were very welcoming and very friendly. I really liked my stay there during COVID and will book there again.

We celebrated an early Christmas in London with my wife’s extended family and had booked three rooms for two nights. The rooms were all clean, spacious and comfortable with efficient and well equipped kitchens. The buffet breakfast room was a bright and pleasant place with some healthy food choices and lots of coffee. But the highlight for everyone were the hotel staff who were uniformly friendly and helpful. Quite outstanding actually. All of us commented on this. We met breakfast staff, maintenance workers and front desk personnel who all appeared to be enjoying their jobs. Meeting such staff really made a difference. Well done !
