The room we were given 210- should not be rented out- it is very small -carpet was dirty, nothing good to say- I spoke with the young lady at reception and was give an adult sized room in the carriage house. Which was satisfactory. The place is in a much need of updates- especially with tech and room amenities, paint, furniture, curtains ( my grandmothers) falling off the rod. After reading all of the positive reply’s on this site, I was really looking forward to the stay. Cannot recommend this inn- trying to be quaint - but comes out as run down and lacking.
This inn is a little hidden gem right in the city. We went for the romantic getaway package for our anniversary when we didn’t want to travel far. The inn is beautiful. Modern finishes but with the historic charm of stone fireplaces, high ceilings and wood flooring. Room was clean with very comfortable beds. Package included a delicious dinner with lots of choices. Service was attentive and very friendly. Had a massage at the spa which was in a lovely relaxing room. There are patios in the front and back to sit and enjoy a summer evening or enjoy your breakfast. Breakfast was included. It was just a simple continental with fruit and pastries. It was a relaxing stay in this quiet retreat. Will definitely return maybe for a ladies spa weekend.
The room is clean and towels are fluffy white. We had a good night sleep. We had king room and bathroom is big and comfortable. We had a fridge with no icebox. The hotel reception hall has wood beams, wedding room is beautiful. We had Mississagua promotion of visa gift card and Square one gift card. It was fun going to the big beautiful mall.
Supposed to be a romantic night out. I could write 5 pages… here are the highlights… After checking in… room dated (water stains on the ceiling, paint chipped, half the front of a draw in bathroom came off in my hand etc) tv didn’t work (apparently no to fix it). No coffee pods for the machine, they were out. **Restaurant closed, no room service. Offered an upgraded room and a bottle of wine to compensate…. We were in a king suite in the tower - replacement room two queens and we could have gotten anywhere. Never got the bottle of wine. Manager not there either days.. so we were told. Charged full price, until as we were walking out I mentioned my profession… 30 minutes later got a call in the car.. front desk informing us we would receive $50 credit on our credit card. This place is beyond poorly managed, dated and we will never recommend. Sad really all our friends used to love this place…
My daughter and I went for spa and relaxation weekend. The inn and spa were very clean. Norman the guest services manager is very friendly and professional. The inn has a lot of historical charm. We enjoyed our weekend.
We booked this place for a 2 night stay to attend a friends wedding. Turns out the room had bugs, big brown bugs that were climbing the walls. We checked out after only one night and found a clean place to stay. The customer service was horrible; they did not apologize for the issue, they acknowledged the housekeeper found the bugs but were arguing whether or not they were cockroaches, they reluctantly refunded my stay and were ignorant and implied I was trying to get a free night stay. Most definitely never going back, not recommended.
My family selected this property based on reviews and the website. It is located in a good area, close to many restaurants and stores, our stay was disappointing. The room we had was the luxury suite, with two small rooms. There was only one television. The beds were very comfortable. We traveled with my mother, who is a senior. The room did not have any bars in the bathroom (toilet area) or the shower which did not make it safe for seniors or people with disabilities. The receptionist on the evening shift was not very friendly. When I asked for an extra blanket, he paused and appeared put out. I told him to never mind, but he went and got me a blanket. I called a week ahead to book a cot for our room. The cot was not there when we checked in. I had to call 3 times to ask for it. About 9 pm, I went to the front desk, and the male receptionist informed me that the bed was on the second floor (there are no elevators) and he would not be able to bring the cot until his assistant showed up at 11 p.m. at which time, members of my family would already be in bed for the night. He asked me if my nephew could help bring the cot to my room. I complied as we wanted to turn in for the night. The hotel needs updating, some of the floors in the hotel were creaking, and I felt like I would go through the hardwood floor. The stairs were also run down and the stones from the stairs were loose. We won't be going back or recommending this property.…
Brunch at Glenerin Inn was a wonderful experience. The menu is extensive with roast beef, salads, Pasta, rice, breakfast breads, good dessert and overall large delicious selection. The staff is attentive and friendly, always ready to help. The Inn is cozy and charming, the tables are well laid out. This was my second brunch here with friends. I had visited 5 years ago and glad to see that the level of service and quality of food is still high. I look forward to visiting again the summer
My parents and I stayed at the Glenerin for two nights (Christmas and Boxing Day). We really enjoyed our stay. Glenerin is dapper and has a lot of charm. It was beautifully decorated for the festive season! We stayed at room 108. It was a luxury room with two queen beds, one bathroom and a seating area with a gas fireplace. We were very comfortable. We used the seating area to play board games. The beds were comfy and we slept well. The rooms are also equipped with Apple TV. The service was excellent. Everyone we interacted with made our stay special. The guest services manager, Norman, was very pleasant to deal with. The food was exceptional. We truly enjoyed the Christmas dinner buffet and the a la carte menu on Boxing Day. Compliments to the Chef and his team! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and this was a great stay-cation!…
Stayed there a while ago for 2 nights. We stayed in room #103. The room was satisfactory except for the furniture in the sitting area. The loveseat should be replaced as the support is gone out of it. My wife had a hard time trying to get up from it. The corner chairs are also tired looking. We were kind of disappointed with the dining room. The breakfasts were pretty good and our server was pleasant. The dinners that we had were just okay, I was expecting something better. Most people were friendly. Checking out could of been a better experience, as we approached the the front desk the girl just said checking out. Never asked us how our stay was or anything else. My wife and I are not hard people to please. Not sure if we will return. Brian Soroka
