I feel like our whole stay had a "but" following it. The location of this hotel is fantastic, but it needs updates. The front desk staff was friendly, but not welcoming. The room suited our needs, but it was stuffy and small. The view from our partial-falls view room was nice, but the street noise was very loud. There are many dining options right in the hotel, but they all close early and open late. The pool and sauna were nice, but the hot tub was closed (very strange at such a chilly time of year). The coffee maker was nice in the room, but there was no microwave or mini-fridge. Having water available in the lobby was nice, but it was always empty. With all of this said, the location really was ideal. I appreciated having access to Clifton Hill directly from the hotel walkway. It was also a simple walk down the hill to the falls. Check-in was simple; however, I did not feel valued as a guest (let alone an IHG member). I walked through the lobby numerous times and rarely received an acknowledgement from the staff. When I asked a simple question regarding directions, I felt like a burden. I also do not understand why there is a thermostat in the room if it does not work. Even though it was chilly outside, our room was stuffy and we had no way of cooling it or running a fan to drown out street noise. Luckily, on my second day, I realized the window did open a crack, so this was helpful for the stuffiness but only increased the external noise.  We stayed on the third floor and thought this was convenient for access to the pool and gym; however, the only available microwave and ice machines are on the 7th floor. If you do not want to pay for the Rainbow Room or Perkins for breakfast, Starbucks was available. Make sure to take advantage of the beer tasting at Niagara Brewing and get your picture at the Hershey store. I am torn on if I would stay here again, possibly for the location and with a discount code.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our lst time visiting Canada and wasn't sure where to stay. After we chose the Crowne Plaza, we were thrilled we did. We were greeted by Ragnad with a smile and a warm welcome. She explained all the amenities of the hotel and surprisingly upgraded our room when she found out we were celebrating our Anniversary. She also added a special treat bag of chocolates. She was a pleasure to interact with and her personalized service will ensure our return to this hotel.

Crown Plaza Niagara Falls was not the best experience we had compared to other hotels. The first room we got our room was facing a concrete wall. We asked to change it and the person at the desk changed it but we had to pay an extra fee. Also, they held on my hubby’s card more than 500$ and their reason was because it was not a credit card and in case of damage caused to the room. Wow we never went to a hotel and they had to hold an outrageous amount on a debit card. When we were leaving, they told us to wait they had to send someone to check the room before returning the funds to our card. Every time we went to hotels, we never had to wait for someone to check our room before getting our funds back.. Never again we will return to this hotel.

There’s no AC!!!! The rooms are small & stuffy. “Queen-size” bed is actually twin-size. Crown Plaza is one of Niagara’s Landmark, but it’s needs upgrades!! They gave me a tiny blk fan because there’s no working thermostat - refunds/cancelations are practically impossible once booked {even w/insurance} Def an uncomfortable stay!

We had reservation and the reservation said luxury suite but when we got there they gave us the smallest room i ever saw in my life with the view to the indoor pool mold mildew no fresh air 3 people we got one bed one desk and 20 sq feet of living space for $340 night no buttler to bring our luggage od discount at the super expensive restaurants is was a sad vacation just remember people they are called dungeon room beware

This was the worst experience I've ever had staying at a hotel. The room smelled musty, it was tiny. The bathroom was gross the shower was disgusting. Couldn't even shower was too grossed out, the bed I could have got a better sleep on a mattress in the alley. It was so lumpy and hard. I used priceline to get the room at chechout. I complained all they did was give me the $68 resort fees credited and told me that if I had any other issues I had to go to priceline, priceline tells me that it was a quality issue and it should have been a handled By the hotel when I was there. So all they did was cover the resort fees to shut me up and get me out the door and passed the buck on too price line Knowing all well that when I called them. It would be too late. now I'm stuck with a $200 bill for one night. At the worst hotel In Niagara Falls by far! This should be a one star rated hotel. Absolute trash not only that, they have 3 tiny elevators for the entire hotel. It takes 10 minutes to get a elevator to bring you downstairs because you can't fit in them with anybody else coming from a floor above. I will never stay at this hotel again. And I don't remember anyone ever stay here. Wish I would have read the reviews before I booked this hotel!!!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good location, fantastic views from our room. Large bed, decent sized room. Coffee maker in the room. Ice machine one floor down. Room quiet, even though the lift was right opposite. View of the falls and rainbow bridge. Good sized bathroom and over bath shower good. We didn’t eat in the hotel so cannot comment on this. All staff we met were very courteous. Would recommend and return if we every return to Niagra Falls.

First, long queue when checking in. It is Christmas day so they should have anticipated that it is a busy day - not all counters are open. No water in the lobby- There is a station for water but it is empty on a Christmas day. Front desk agent was kind and acknowledged us being IHG member. Rooms are small and windows are filthy. How can you appreciate the view of the falls if windows are dirty? Comp water must be taken from front desk but were informed that they ran out of stock - asked for a water around 10pm. The next day, want to have coffee and found a sock inside the coffee machine - DISGUSTING! Obviously they do not really inspect the room before they release it for check in. Called the front desk and was just offered to take the coffee machine and replaced it with at least a clean one (not sure if it’s really clean but at least no sock inside). It was a terrible stay - would’ve stayed at the hotel next door. Small room, filthy windows, terrible housekeeping! Will never stay here again and won’t recommend staying!

Went on a couples getaway and had a wonderful time. It is a charming hotel. It’s not ultra modern but my husband have always chosen this particular hotel as our romantic get away. Easy checkin and checkout … got an upgrade with a balcony falls view. It was a gorgeous view of the falls. The restaurant had an amazing view of the falls and food was delicious. Zlatco our server at Prime Steakhouse Niagara was very attentive making sure we were happy. He alone deserves 5 stars! Thanks for the smiles and our to go’s!! Room 1116 had the beautiful view!

I give this place a solid 3.75/5 because, although it wasn't spectacular, it was a nice stay and met our needs. We paid $200 all in for one night. Great location, and if it weren't for the fog, we would have had a view of the US Falls. Stayed one night on a particularly quiet Friday (due to the weather). Front desk staff served us with a smile. Citrus water at the front lobby was a nice touch. The two double bed room was basic. It was clean, perhaps a bit dated but all parts were working. We slept well! There was a small coffee and tea maker with two bottles of water. No refrigerator unfortunately. We brought cheese so this wasn't ideal. We did have an issue with a key which was a bit inconvenient but the hotel compensated us something which we thought was a nice gesture. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend with some of the precautions mentioned here.
