Stayed in a double Queen room on the 6th floor falls view, beds comfortable, room comfortable with a coffee/tea maker and cups were larger than normal which was great , we bought milk from the food court next door and also Starbucks will sell you milk in a big cup. Reception and housekeeping very friendly. Did not have breakfast there went across to the Secret Garden. This is an old building and renovations going on but did not affect our stay. Shower had plenty of hot water. If you want to go to street level without taking the stairs then press S on the lift panel which takes you out the main entrance. The hotel is very close to Clifton Hill. I was coming to celebrate my 60th birthday which was in August and I got a nice message and Hersheys chocolate when we got to the room but the message was Happy Anniversary. lol nice thought though. 🏴

The hotel is located in a prime location, close to the Falls and the main attraction areas which is great. The hotel is quite old and dated but I understand it is slowly being renovated. The room we were in was renovated in the bathroom only but the new design is somewhat awkward. The shower has no door (which is fine) but there is no shower rack or shelving inside the shower stall so any soap bars or shampoo containers will have to be put on the shower floor itself while showering which is inconvenient and kinda unhygienic. The thermostat in our room is also useless as we tried to lower the temperature but basically nothing happens. (maybe the hotel turned off the entire air conditioning system in October?). The room was stuffy and hot and we had to open the window to allow some fresh air into the room for a comfortable sleep. The extra charge (resort fee) which we have to pay used to include the WEGO bus pass for our stay but this is no longer available. That's a big minus as we loved to use the bus to commute around the Falls area during our visit and no need to drive around and find parking all the time. We hope they will add this back to the package. We stayed in this hotel several times before mainly for its location but may choose a different one next time if this is the case. Service level however was excellent and we certainly appreciate the staff to do what they can to accomodate our requests.

This hotel scores highly in some ways and very poorly in other ways so in the aggregate it’s average in my opinion. If Sheraton next door is not materially more expensive it should be the overwhelming choice instead of staying at CrownePlaza.
First the positives about CP. At check-in I received an upgrade to a 2-bedroom suite as Diamond Ambassador guest which is more generous than what the vast majority of hotels would ever give, and it’s not because I was staying in low season: we are in July with lots of tourists around. The second strong point is the location of the hotel across the Rainbow bridge with superb views of the falls, pretty much the same as the views from Sheraton perhaps just a tiny bit better at Sheraton. Service was very good not only at reception but also in the restaurant. I am currently is pregnant and vomiting every morning but I need to eat nonetheless; my husband asked for takeaway boxes from the breakfast buffet so that we could have breakfast in the room which is not supposed to be allowed but they made an exception which was highly appreciated. Given how spacious our suite was, the set-up was much better than being sick in a restaurant with several other guests around.
The main negative was how dated the room was. I have seen many dated hotels in my travels but this one is on a completely different level. The fridge and the toilet must be at least 50 years old and the (low) ceilings also betray the age of the hotel which is very, very, very overdue for renovations. Apparently Crowne Plaza decided that it’s better to keep the hotel as is and get as much revenue as they can in the short term, but Sheraton took the opposite decision with their recent $50m renovation project. For some dates Sheraton can be much more expensive than CP which is fair, but if the prices are somewhat close then Sheraton will be far better value than CP.

This was our lst time visiting Canada and wasn't sure where to stay. After we chose the Crowne Plaza, we were thrilled we did. We were greeted by Ragnad with a smile and a warm welcome. She explained all the amenities of the hotel and surprisingly upgraded our room when she found out we were celebrating our Anniversary. She also added a special treat bag of chocolates. This hotel is in great need of updating and deep cleaning. Our room was so dirty. There was 2 inches of dust in the corners of the room, along the baseboards and under the bed.
The king bed was terribly - it had lumps and bumps throughout it and the middle supports under the bed weren't even touching the ground. My lower back was screaming at me.
There were clumps of dust hanging off the overhead light. The room heat/ac didn't work. The bathtub has been recoated so many times it looks terrible.
They give you a phone number to text concierge for anything you need. To this day, a week later, no one has replied to my text. There was 1/4 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no extras and we were wanting extra blankets. Every button you push on the telephone results in a busy signal. I had to call the hotel on the main line to get someone.
The 'falls views' photos on the website are so deceiving. They use the same falls backdrop in their room photos.
The front desk check in was quick and the staff were really friendly.
I was hugely disappointed in the dirtiness of the room. You should do a deep clean of every single room every season.
I was there for a business event being held there. Next year I will pay for a different hotel elsewhere when attending.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 5 nights and can honestly say it was the most overpriced luxury wannabe ever. When I booked a room with two double beds I didn't imagine the abomination that we would get. There was barely space between the furniture, a miniscule wardrobe just big enough to fit the ironing board and nowhere to store our luggage. As we were taking a long vacation, we have packed enough clothes to last 4 people 10 days, so there was a lot of it. All the luggage had to stay at the wall, plainly visible. The bathroom was infested with black mold (not good by any means, doubly so when you have a respiratory condition) and did not have a functioning fan. This last fact meant that 1) all the humidity would seep into the room and 2) the smells of the bodily functions would do the same. The AC was loud and completely inadequate to deal with either of them so we had to keep the window open. Housekeeping skipped our room 2 days out of the 5 (which meant no clean towels), but I can't really blame them - I figured they may not have been able to fit the cleaning trolley into that hole. There was no mini-fridge (forget about cold water) and no safe - again maybe not enough space. All in all, the average of $300/night (more with taxes and surcharges) is completely undeserved for the state of the rooms. This whole experience was so disappointing that we will avoid all Crowne Plazas in the future. The only reason that I'm giving it 2 stars (quite generous given the experience) and not the single one it really deserves is because the staff was at least polite and accommodating.

I do not recommend staying here if you are not prepared to be charged for every little thing. I paid $40 more per night to get queen beds so we could sleep comfortably with our two children. However, even though we had double sized beds in our room, the reception kept insisting that “all fallsview rooms have queen size beds”. We have a queen sized bed at home and the beds in our hotel room were obviously much smaller. Rooms are uncomfortably small and our bathroom door swelled up and didn’t even close. They completely stopped all housekeeping (no changing towels/cleaning up/giving more shampoo the next day) unless you go to reception and specifically ask for something. You’d think with cuts in service they’d charge people less for staying here… We were charged $40/day for parking, $16/day resort fee, $30/day tourist fee tax and 13% HST on top of everything, so our $309/night room turned into a $450/night room. Stay away.

The view was beautiful, but everything else was horrible. The room smells like mould, there is no kettle or microwave, the carpet is dirty, the bathroom does not flush correctly, and the windows are dirty. The breakfast was expensive, and the eggs were like jelly and the bacon was like cardboard. Speaking of elevators, you had to take 2-3 elevators to get anywhere in the hotel. I can't believe this is a 4star hotel! I have been in a lot better B&BS than this! The room was tiny, old and oudate with a stale awful smell, we had supposedly been 'upgraded' to a larger bed but in a room so small that we had to rearrange furniture so we could open a medium size suitcase with 'excdlent views' to a noisy multistorey carpark. The shower was a poor trickle of water... and room service 'could not make the bed' because my folded PJ was on the bottom of the bed. What a lame excuse! I don't even want to mention the most expensive carpark in all Niagara Falls and the least user friendly... And all the staff had tysay about this was ' we are very sorry '. I won't recommend this hotel to anybody!
