Hotel needs updating. Lobby looks old and hallways. The check in had long line ups. Stayed at the hotel March 16 & 17 2023. March break Pool water was cold, Jacuzzi was broken, really disappointing for my 13 year old son and My husband & I. Housekeeping did not make our beds or empty garbage, we stay was 2 days. I Would not recommend and will not return to this hotel. Was really disappointed. We were also celebrating my sons 14 year old birthday.

Sent this off to hotel management with no response in regards to my recent stay. Elevators not working. No solutions offered. Terrible customer service. Don't stay. I received an email in regards to my recent stay at the Crown Plaza in Niagara Falls. The email asks for feedback regarding my recent stay. I would like to share with you my experience on February 10, 2023. I received a complimentary stay as a result of a previous incident (where a hotel door handle malfunctioned and I was locked in the washroom). I was hesitant to stay after that but decided to give your hotel another try. This experience was just as bad as the last. When we arrived, check in took 45 minutes because the hotel did not have the voucher on file. After trying to send it multiple times, your staff finally received it. We got to the room and it was only one king bed despite having asked for two queen. We went back down to the lobby and were reassigned rooms. We were then placed in a room on the 11th floor (1107). We took the elevator to 9 as directed and then waited over 20 minutes for the elevator to 11. We then proceeded to go back down to the lobby to report the elevator was not working and several people had collected on the 9th floor at this time. The front desk staff shrugged and said they would call maintenance. We asked if there was an alternate elevator to take. They said there was not. I had just been released from the hospital on account of a back and neck injury and was very disappointed that there was no offer to even have an accommodation made and for staff to help carry the luggage up. We then went back to the 9th floor to wait. At this point, the maintenance worker arrived and confirmed the elevator was not working. He pointed us in the direction of a service elevator. We got in that to find it did not go to the 11th floor. We then waited several more minutes to see if there was any progress made with the elevator. There was not. I then had no choice but to carry my luggage up four flights of stairs despite having a disability. When we returned to the hotel that evening, we took both elevators up to our room only to find out that both of our keys had been deactivated. We then took both elevators back down to advise the front desk. All the while this was going on, your hotel had a very loud alarm going off on the 9th floor which I advised the front desk of. This stay was just as bad as the last. It is unfortunate because your property is beautiful and in a wonderful location. Your staff need to be educated on the Accessibilities Act for Ontarians with Disabilities because if your elevators are not working, a guest cannot just be left stranded. There is no compassion or understanding that this situation can create hardship. There was no offer to help with luggage and no alternative provided. Your stairs on the 9th floor are not even clearly marked so they can be identified which poses a great risk in the event of a fire or emergency. In the event something like this happens again, it would be appropriate and appreciated if a staff was sent to the floor where people had collected to at least provide some acknowledgement and direction. I truly hope you take this to heart and reconsider some of your practices and policies.

We stayed for three nights Fri to Mon and really enjoyed our stay. Room lay out was spacious, older style jettub in the room which is roomy. Falls view was picturesque. Location of the hotel is in the middle of everything - Falls walk, restaurants, entertainment, Casino and more. The hotel has nice atmosphere, friendly staff, will come back again often. Note that swimming pool was not good. We have a really nice pool at home so it wasn't a deterrent but for someone who really looks forward to swimming the facilities were poorly kept, jacuzzi and kids pool were broken/off limits. That said many hotels in the area have the same problem, so no offense. Please fix the pool

We stayed at the Crowne Plazza for 3 nights while in Niagra. The hotel was roomy, warm and well equipped with towels toiletries and a hairdryer. The hotel itself had a quirky dated design element about it which I loved. Room clean was on request and included in the additional taxes payable, as were many other extras. The extras were on request from reception such as 4 bottles of water a day per room and bus passes. We were upgraded on request to a falls view room at no extra charge 💕 when my Husband made the request.

The hotel is dated and it seems they have crammed beds into rooms that should only have 1 bed instead of 2. The bath room is very small and not very clean. My shower still had a dirty face cloth hanging from the shower curtain - which was not mine. The elevator broke during my stay and I had to take the stairs to checkout with all my luggage. These things happen and the hotel offered to credit a day of parking. I was thankful. Upon my return home I noticed that I was not given the credit. I contacted the hotel and they said they would need to contact the manager that was working that day- that manager was off and it may take a couple of days. I said couldn’t you check the maintenance records to verify the elevator being down. They said they could only verify with the manager. I found this to be in extremely poor taste. My daughter also left something in the room and of course when I called they did not have any mention of anything being in the room - probably because they don’t clean it. I would strongly encourage a different hotel.

Overall, we have a wonderful stay at Crowne Plaza Hotel. Location - along the Falls Avenue where the different restaurants, amusement centers and the waterfalls can be seen. Room - the hotel itself is old already but it is maintained so we have no issues at all. It is same in the picture as advertised, fully functional and comfy beds. We chose the Falls view room with 2 queen beds and yes, we were able to see the Falls (American Falls) on the right side view of the window. It may not be the best view point but during foggy day, the Horseshoe Falls is almost not visible, while the American Falls is still visible, so somehow it favors us during our stay. Staff - very approachable, warm and prompt. Services from housekeeping, lobby, concierge and restaurant (rainbow room) were all pleasant and served with a smile. Price - we chose the one with breakfast package and we felt it is worth it. Having a breakfast with the falls view is more than enough to take our hunger away haha.

Travelled with husband and two teens and the kids did that waterpark package during the Christmas break. I booked 2 double beds as that is all that was available upon booking. At check in I requested 2 Queen beds and it was available for a small surcharge and a decent view of the American falls. I took it. The room and bathroom were small but most importantly everything was clean and for one night to rest our heads it was fine, don’t think I could do another night with 4 people though as it was pretty tight. Updates to bathrooms are in need. Beware bathroom has no vent. The beds were comfortable, but the room is missing some basic amenities ( like a fridge and a chair). I brought a small cooler for drinks as I knew that going in and didn’t want to pay another fee for fridge rental. There was an ice machine on the 5th floor. No water bottles in our room, but I was able to get some via reception. The crown location is perfect and across from the falls and on Clifton hill. Connected to casino, hard rock, Hershey factory. Everything you want to see just a few steps away. I’ve stayed at the neighborhooring waterpark hotels and the crown plaza is definitely the most convenient hotel to do the waterpark accessible via the main lobby and no long walks through tunnels and restaurants to get to waterpark. The hotel lobby is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the old fashioned charm that is rare now a days. We enjoyed our stay and all our interactions with staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We were able to get a late check out and that made the next day easier with no rush and the kids could do another few hours at the park. Be prepared for many additional fees. Parking 39.00 and then resort fee, destination fee and taxes. This all added up to about 100.00 over and above the package rate.

My husband surprised the family with a one night stay at the Crowne Plaza in Niagara. We arrived at 2 pm and the lady at the front desk offered a free upgrade for late arrival and we took it! It was an amazing room - view of both waterfalls and a balcony you cannot get onto (no rails). Queen size bed and queen size sofa was what we got. We could not complain. The food was easy access but buyers beware. The food court service next to the hotel is less than pleasing - we waited nearly 35 min for the food (Subway and Nathan Chicken) and (Pizza hut) 15 min for a personalized sized pizza (9:30 pm at night) Enough said. I slept ok was comfortable bed but something off about the hotel. I had a series of nightmares and decided to research. This hotel was originally Brock Hotel and was made Crowne Plaza in 1927. Thousands of hundreds visitors from famous Marilyn to Her Majesty the Queen. No ghost reviews yet but a hotel history of 200 years need no proof. Good luck, Have fun and enjoy your stay!

Went to the Crown Plaza with my family of 9 - 6 adults and 1 child and 2 todlers (3 rooms). The hotel is dated, toilets are low and commercial type with poor plumbing and bubble up when flushed. Picture a toilet bidet of water (not sewage). One room the bathroom floor had to have towels to absorb the water overflow. The rooms are small and dark. Unfortunately a boiler broke the day before we arrived and upon check-in we were offered three choices. 50% off our stay refund upon cancelation relocation to an inferior hotel (no discount) We accepted the 50%. However the next day when reconfirming the discount I was told it was only 40%. After some discussion, the hotel manager adjusted the rate to the agreed upon 50%. Upon checkout - the discount was not adjusted correctly and again I had to review this with the hotel manager. This place needs to be gutted completely and modernized in order to maintain the expected quality from a Crown Plaza.
