Detailed Reviews
We have loved KOA in the past. We understand things are different with COVID19, but still couldn't understand why the playgrounds were closed, when stage 3 had been entered and are allowed to be open. We felt that if so many services weren't being offered that the price point of what we are paying was not fair.
Two of the staff driving the golf carts were out of control with their speed a couple of times. The park wasn't even at half the capacity during our stay.
We had scheduled for another weekend in August but have since cancelled since our fee was outrageous to park a trailer. There is no flat rate for camping here. It seems they can charge what they want depending on the dates you choose. We can go down the street and be offered the same camping experience, with more things open for half of the price, which seems outrageous, but its true.

This place was really beautiful and well kept. We stayed in a double cabin and I cannot speak highly enough about how clean and well kept the cabin and the bathrooms were!!
The service we experienced from the staff at the front desk was just amazing and so helpful!
We were in the area for less than 24 hours, and the staff was so helpful in pointing us in the right direction for food and some supplies that we forgot to bring.
The view from the porch on the cabin was really nice, and the dog really enjoyed the patio too!
All COVID protocols were tightly followed and it's one of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at!!

Note that this site was more expensive than hotel rooms in the area at the time.
Not alot of doubt that KOA has great service, this KOA recognized the protocols for organized family events during pandemic and even extended sign up hours for pool usage to ensure everybody had a chance. Service quality is great, but can't give 4 stars as many of the campsites have sewage drains too high for proper waste disposal. Mine in particular was higher than my drain pipe, resulting in very difficult circumstances on using and dumping waste from my trailer.
Nothing could be done, nor were we told this was an issue until trying to hook up to a full campground and nowhere to move.
Because of this, can't recommend this campground yet as not user friendly.

It seems like it would be a fun campground in non-covid times and in the middle of summer on a weekend. Unfortunately, we were here a week after Labor Day. I put the number and ages of my kids in when I reserved our site, and they still charged us an extra $30/day when we arrived because of their ages. It had not been communicated that you had to reserve a time for the pool (half hour max per day) and that that filled up at 8am in the morning. Don't plan to swim on the day you arrive. It had not been communicated that there was a max of 5 kids on the jumping pillow, so they had to wait a long time to jump and when they did, it was for 5 minutes. It also had not been communicated that the recreation team would not arrive until after 11, so you couldn't jump or do any activities until then. Don't plan to do any activities before check out on the day you leave.
My kids were so disappointed. I tried to speak to a manager about the situation, but she was extremely rude and said our site was discounted from the mid-summer rates so we should be happy. I understand if they need to have covid protocols and if they need to have reduced access to campground amenities after Labor Day. It should just be communicated ahead of time so you know what you're actually paying for.

It is clearly a profit oriented place, way too much RVs put next to each others, too close. I could hear the three retired couples (neighbors) night drinkings/discussions in my RV. People with dogs (3 big dogs: 2 black labs and one German Shepard in one rv!!!!!!)cannot/want not control their dogs, they threaten/attack other dogs; people leave their dogs in their RVs during the day for 5-6 hours, you can hear the barking... Little places for walking or playing with dogs. Only positive is the wifi;however, the system forces you to sign-in daily even if you stay several days......Not coming back.

We have just returned from a week at Koa Niagara campsite, and I have no negative points to say about this campsite.
We have a 30 foot trailer, the grounds are quite long and pull tru, but still a little stuck one on the others. But they all have beautiful trees to create shade.
There are 2 swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor, plus a large paddling pool with 2 feet of water. But in hot days, they are very full because not very large. Very clean swimming pools and chairs with umbrellas for sitting.
There is a beautiful park for young children. There is a great corner with games, pikkle ball, outdoor table tennis , there are irons, balloons , etc. There is also an inflatable trampoline and a saltire. There are kinds of 1, 2 and 4 person big wheel bikes for rent.
There are laundry rooms, very clean, and not too expensive. 2$.
The toilets and showers are also very well maintained and clean. Campsite staff pick up the garbage and recycling left behind at the corner of our campground.
There is a very nice store with everything one may need. Food, camping stock , personal care effects, and souvenirs. The staff are very kind and courteous.
There are activities for young children especially: films, DIY, etc.... during the day. There's a wagon going around the campsite. Notifications are received by text whenever there is activity.
What I liked about this campsite , 15-20 minutes from Niagara Falls and the city with all its activities.
We went one day to Canada's Wonderland , it was an hour and a half away.
I give a 10/10 to this campsite, and I would return without hesitation. Thank you camping Koa for your good service.

Poor customer service and lots of broken items at the cabin. First our BBQ was broken, the knobs just spin and you have no sense of whether they're on or not. After playing around with it for 30 mins, trying to get a hold of someone at the front office and having no one answer the phone or the text number they provide, I gave up. We had to cook inside with the 2 pots they provide and lids that don't fit. The fridge/freezer also made the worst noise when the fan turned on which was very loud all night long. 1 of the 4 chairs was broken, the couch had chunks of vinyl peeling off. The beds were at least comfortable once I walked down the office to pick up blankets that they failed to provide us when housekeeping made up the beds. The pools were nice however the wading pool heater was broken so it wasn't useable and the snack bar was mysteriously closed the whole time we were there. The wifi they claim to have is non-existent. Overall, we won't return especially for the money we paid!

This was an incredible campground with beautiful cabins, pools and family activities. I give the campground a 3 out of 5 only because we camped in the primitive area by the back fence and the picnic tables were in rotted condition. With the picnic table being the gathering place of our party, this was a huge disappointment and inconvenience. There were also several foot-size holes in the ground arroyos this area and a 5x5’ hole near our site where a tree trunk was rotted out. With the care the park gives to the rest of the camping areas, the ground holes that are large enough to be seen or cause injury when walking the campsite in the evening must be cared for so that people aren’t injured. The camp area is small and clear enough to be filled with dirt easily by staff.

This is a very large and busy campground in the middle of a residential and business area. It is located on a major street. I share so you know you are urban camping and not in the wilderness.
The main reason to stay here is proximity to Niagara Falls. The Hop on/Hop off WEGO bus stops across the street from the campground. You can purchase WEGO tickets at the campground main office.
You can park your car and not drive. There is a nice grocery store on the corner across the street. You can even walk to some fast food restaurants.
I stayed in a "value" tent site. These sites are very, very close. My small tent was maybe 20 yards from my neighbors tent. (Maybe closer)
My first night was a Saturday night. The place was packed with families having a great time. It was definitely very crowded. When I returned on Sunday afternoon after touring Niagara Falls the campground was much less crowded especially in the tent area.
Oh, there is a train that runs along the backside of the campground next to the value tent sites. It runs daily at 6:30am. Yes, it is very loud.

The actual park is beautiful and there is a lot to do. The people working at the general store are very helpful and the check-in process is smooth. We stayed in one of the 100s cabins and it was alright overall. There is literally only a bunk bed + queen bed in them and a small table. The bathrooms weren't too far and there are great places to eat around KOA. This is the only reason this isn't a one star review.
My terrible experience is with the night staff. There was one gentleman who approached my group with such aggression right away. He threatened us right away without even explaining what we did wrong around 10PM. Shortly after midnight, he sped up to our site and began to fill a pail with water which he then dumped on our fire that we were sitting around. I understand that fires need to go out at midnight as per Niagara Falls by-law, but this gentleman was unable to use words or show any respect to the people staying in the grounds. We did NOT have any music and there were others in the same vicinity who had fires going as well. We approached another group who had a fire and the same gentleman showed up. He apologized to them and reluctantly put out the fire. We walked around the grounds and saw others with fires going as late as 1AM with louder music.
We were approached by another group who said this gentleman showed the same lack of respect to another group the previous night who happened to be also be a diverse group of individuals. This wrecked our entire stay and we will not be returning to KOA. I took some videos of this man and I will be sending it directly to KOA and possibly the news due to the threats he was making to us.
