We stayed 3 nigths in suite 135 ground floor with a courtyard view king bed the room was clean but I sprayed Lysol on bed doorhandles faucets and converter we were given a ticket for two complimentary glasses of wine but the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday so Debbie at the front desk gave us a complementary bottle of Old Stone Inn white wine which we really appreciated . Very convenient location friendly staff and a short five minute walk to skylon Tower where we went for my birthday dinner . Negative was no safe or mini fridge in the room . mini fridge is available but cost extra and no blue box for recycling although we separated our bottles and cans

This is a really nice property, but there is such a wide variety of rooms that you never know what you're going to get. This is probably because I always book the hotel through hotels.ca but some rooms have been very luxurious, and others have felt like university residences.

The hotel lobby is very beautiful and intimate, and the hotel's location is great for walking to many Clifton Hills hot spots.

Hotel is clean Staff are not clued up to holiday questions. They do not seem to know what facilities or transport is available for getting outside of Niagara to places like Niagara on the lake fort Eirie or Fort George if you are not driving. The only cleaning of the rooms or replacement of coffee/tea/milk in the room is if you ask them to do it. We were there for 5 days and nothing was replaced or cleaned.Reception is helpful in printing things off. We did not try restaurant but other people told us it is not open very often. Safe luggage storage is available but no safe in the rooms. If you use the indoor swimming pool you cannot access the outside seating area and get back into the pool room. You have to walk around to the front of the hotel or through several corridors.

My boyfriend and I arrived at the property around 12:30pm and attempted to check in to our reservation. Without even checking the computer, the girl at the front desk automatically said "Nope, check-in is at 4pm, I could maybe do 3pm if you leave your phone number for us to call you when a room becomes available." Now, as someone who has worked in the hospitality industry, this left a sour taste in my mouth because she could have at least pretended to be looking in to it instead of automatically saying no.

Fast forward to later that evening when we had checked in. We get a room on the ground floor, just past the front desk. We bring all of our stuff from the car into the room and notice there are stray hairs ALL over both beds and in the shower. After advising FD of this, she sends the Houseman to change the bedding. He changed the sheets but literally threw the pillows from one bed to the other without changing the pillowcases. The girl at the front desk tried everything in her power to get us to stay including offering us a complimentary upgrade to a different room.

At that point, we were tired, hungry and frustrated and just wanted to leave. Because I had booked through booking.com, she told me that we would have to call booking.com to get the reservation cancelled without penalty charges. After an hour on the phone with booking.com, they confirmed that it was the hotels decision but because I'm a Genius Traveller with booking.com, they were able to convince the hotel to cancel it free of charge.

Another negative: it had snowed the day before and the property did not care to plow their drive way.

Would not return and definitely will not recommend to anyone.

My friend and I stayed one night and were treated like extra special guests by every single staff member we came across.
We enjoyed an in room dinner and breakfast package that was 5 star delicious!
The rooms were new beautiful and we slept like babies until we were woken up ever so gently by the telephone call that said breakfast will be served in half an hour.
I would highly recommend staying at The Old Stone Inn to anyone.

Upon checking in we learned there would be a $15 cleaning fee, $25 parking fee and a $20 fee if we wanted a mini fridge in the room.
There was enough space for some chairs or a couch in the room but the only place to sit was the beds.
The indoor halls smelled like cat pee. Thankfully we had a room with a balcony so we had fresh air.
We were a party of 4, yet they only had towels in the room for 2.
The only good things about the hotel was that the room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
I would never stay there again.

Myself and my wife booked up for our first wedding anniversary as we were taking our dog. We booked through booking.com which came to about $350 for three nights. Having left a comment about taking our dog and looking at parking our debit account was automatically debited $730. They expalained they added in the parking, pet fee and a $200 security deposit.

$45 a night for the dog which was not advertised on Booking.com but I guess was on their actual website. That's my bad.
$25 a night for parking which in my oppinion should not have been charged for until I was leaving as on arrival I noticed there is a $10 a night car park directly accross the road which I would have used.

No issues on arrival, staff were friendly and helpful but could still not give me a breakdown of the charges until checkout.

Room was very very basic, definately more dated than Boutique. Due to COVID, everything was removed from the rooms. No tea/coffee, no glasses, no fridge, there was no room cleaning. Room also looked onto an empty car park which wasn't the best view.

We did go to the illusionist show which was very entertaining and I would throughourly recommend.

Anyway, good distance to the falls which was a positive.

The elevator then broke on check out day which was not great having to move suitcase and have to walk a puppy up and down stairs.

We were then given the breakdown of charges which included $15 a night for hotel services despite we didn't use the services described like the swimming pool. There was multiple taxes included into the bill and our 3 night cheap get away ended up coming to nearly $700 plus $100 for the illusionist (which again, was worth the money) So we were required to then pay >$800. Absolutely overpriced stay. They would then refund the original $730 in a few business days. So we were out both amounts for 4 days.

Would not be returning.

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding dinner at the Old Stone Inn/Flour Mill restaurant!

Where to even start... Deanna the event planner was so kind and thoughtful, walking me through every step of the process. She made the planning effortless and accommodated my every ask and want. The Early Grey room looked exactly how I imagined and when I first entered the room, I was overjoyed.
My ceremony (different location) ran a little early (one hour) and Deanna and the staff were more than happy to start the dinner service early so my guests didn't have to wait.

The dinner staff was Amazing, capital A!! Eddy and his team were attentive and made sure none of my guests went without. The drink glasses were kept full, the food was being served at the perfect time, I can’t thank their team enough for a seamless dinner party! And to the Chef! What an amazing meal, everything from the charcuterie board to dessert was exceptional! All my guests went home with a full stomach and a smile on their face!

Thank you to everyone at this establishment who made this day possible for husband and myself!! I will never forget this night and what an amazing team you guys are!!

If you are looking for something that says stability and consistency, then this august centuries-old establishment is for you. As soon as you enter, you are met with a sense of calm that causes people to speak in hushed tones. Maybe this is generated by the solidity and the beauty of the architecture, or maybe it is by the helpful and pleasant staff, either way you feel you are in a special place.

The Old Stone Inn is old, in that it was built in 1904. But it is not ‘old’. It is calm, and wise. Our nine year old daughter loved it. The fact that it is literally steps away from one of the world’s foremost tourist attractions makes it hard to resist.

We loved the certainty of the place. We loved the wonderful presentation and taste of the food, which the servers were proud to present. The small courtesies like the coffee table situated in a quaint corner, and the red licorice bowl were not lost on us.

Thank you to the Assistant Manager, Mike; to Frank, the Restaurant manager, to the servers John and Eddie, and to the Front Desk person, Balraj, you all made for a very memorable stay. My daughter almost cried when she learned we were only staying three nights.

We chose this for a one night getaway in Niagara Falls as we took our dog with us.

I reserved a “luxury” suite but it was definitely not as luxurious as it sounded. The room was facing the indoor pools so there was no way to ventilate and felt trapped. It was double the size of a regular room with two bathrooms. The bed was adequate but the pillows could be replaced. My son enjoyed the open jetted bathtub by the bed. The carpet in the room and hallways could be updated or washed as there was some mushy smell.

The restaurant at the hotel had a good selection of breakfast and service was good, although they did not allow dogs in the patio.

There is a small indoor pool which we did not use.

All in all, there are not many places near the falls that are pet friendly and we had an okay stay.

The common areas are charming but the cleaning standard could definitely be improved and carpets must go especially being pet friendly.

The rooms are small, not much in them either, ex: mini fridge, etc. The bathroom door hits the toilet, so only one person can use the mirror at one time. Our room was dirty and beat up. A really nice hotel with lots of space is the Sterling Inn and Spa. Plus the Old Stone sneaks in fee's for "ice" and pool fee's and coffee. Not worth it.
