I would like to start off by saying Ryan was amazing when we checked in at the Courtyard by Marriott. He went above and beyond our entire stay. Very friendly and welcoming. After the first night noticed the heat wasn't working. Went down to the front desk the next morning and was greeted by Ryan. We mentioned to him about the heat not working. He immediately sent maintenance up to get the problem resolved. The hotel was very clean and sanitized. We booked a king suite with jacuzzi and got upgraded to a Jr. Presidential suite with a fireplace. Was upgraded due to how quiet they were. I would also like to mention the rest of the front desk staff were also very friendly as well. Keep up the great work. Stay safe and healthy during these crazy times. Will definitely be back again soon.…
Stayed on the Canadian side of the Falls this year - totally due to Covid for our anniversary. Hubby choose the Courtyard by Marriott Junior Presidential Suite as it offered the same amenities as our yearly anniversary spot across the Niagara River on the US side. The front desk person Dan was more than helpful and friendly. He is perfect for his position - or any other Client Services/Relations role. We took our own sanitizers and sprays for the room and did spray everything down. Took our own Air Fryer to cook meals (best idea I have had!) Cooked all our own meals in the room to minimize any contact. We asked for a microwave to be in the room prior to our arrival. With the mini fridge, air fryer and microwave along with the room supplied coffee maker we did not have to leave the room until check out! Front desk staff are attentive and responsive along with service staff. (Behind the scene staff never get the ratings but in this case I have to cheer out to the housekeeping! They rock!!) Our coffee maker did not work and within 5 minutes of calling the desk we had a new coffee maker at our room door - covid friendly delivery - social distance and masked delivery. Shower would not work at first - called the desk and found out it is because the hotel has such a low capacity the hot water takes a while and so does turning on the taps till water arrives. PRO'S: Dan at the front desk person - personality plus! Covid Protocol - Great. hand sanitizing stations located around the hotel and by elevators, must buzz in to front desk to get into the hotel upon arrival. Security & Safety - must use key card or call front desk to get into the hotel Room cleanliness is good. Décor should be updated. Con's: No late check out - given Covid reduction in bookings and even though we were told there were only 7 other rooms occupied in the hotel (10 floors approx. 30 rooms per floor - do the math) and we asked for a late check out we were denied. We were also told that rooms sit empty for 72 hours after each guest but when asking for late check out was told the room was booked - so if that was the case a late check out should have been accommodated. Let's do math - 7 Rooms all check out at 11am (with social distancing and allowing a 10 minute check out that is over 1 hour of check out time taking us to noon - that would also mean that 7 housekeeping staff cleaning simultaneously (which they can not as it would take over an hour to check out the 7 booked rooms) and then leaving the room empty for 72 hours. Not sure that was the case as we only saw the same housekeeping staff of 2 fpr the entire weekend. Room temperature way to hot! Even when furnace set at 16 degrees it was overly hot! I would have rated this a 4 star other than the following: 1. If there is only limited bookings (as mentioned only 7) why give a room that over looks the back parking lot??? Seriously- the back parking lot??? If bookings are down - give the best possible room with the best possible view! I would think that would go a long way in giving great reviews! 2. Late check out denial 3. Hair that was not ours in a shower that was supposed to be sanitized, cleaned and empty for 72 hours 4. If there are only 7 bookings and 10 floors - why did I run into more than 10 people in my hall on my floor? I had to wait as they did not wear mask in the public areas or social distance or allow me to pass by moving off to one side or back into their rooms while they got organized as they were a group in 2 rooms. Not the hotel fault for the lack of awareness on the guest fault - but seriously if there are only a few bookings why would you put groups on the same floor as others during a pandemic? 5. Heat or Air adjustment - not very user friendly. Will I be back - perhaps! Hubby liked it (so most likely until the border reopens - as he books the rooms). I do not personally think it was any different than the Ramada by Wyndham - but not sure about price differences. Rooms with spa tub are the same. Added bonus at Courtyard by Marriott a gas fireplace. Another added bonus with Courtyard by Marriott is hotel parking is less expensive. Added bonus at the Courtyard by Marriott is Dan at the front desk with personality!…
First time staying at this location. Pretty good so far. Thought we would check this place out as rates are so cheap because of the bs Covid. Super clean and really quiet. Most things are open on the hill but no crowds or lineups .
We really enjoyed our stay here, we felt very welcome and the front desk staff were very accommodating. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy (soft) and whenever we needed something the front desk was happy to help. Nice to have the keg right in the hotel as well. The hotel is very close to Clifton Hill and a short walk over to the falls...perfect location! Happy to see security cameras in the parking lot as well! Great hotel, great prices! Thank you!
One of the best option to stay in Niagara Falls for Marriott Bonvoy properties . $17 nightly parking is one of the cheapest option around - no valet service however. Pros: - Superb location - large parking area (shared with Keg and Starbucks) - one of the least expensive Starwood/Marriott property near the Clifton Hills area - almost always get the 1 level room upgrade as a lifetime gold elite Cons: - Old decor and furnishing - not a single Usb port in the room - old tv and programing (not reliable) - must request in room coffee (no coffee ready in the room)
