Pay $20-30 more sometimes its the same amount for a No View Room at a different hotel but do not stay at Travelodge at Clifton Hill. Front desk needs coaching, training on how to speak with their customers. Just amazed that even during the Pandemic when the Hotel needs to be at their best in customer service were found lagging behind. Crown Plaza and Sheraton would be the best option.
Then this is a cool place. It’s clean. Worn but quite clean. The location is smack in middle of Clifton Hill. The sounds from Haunted Houses and street noise go till 2 or 3 am if you keep balcony door open. Some hate that. I love it. I took my 22 year old boy. It is no way upscale. If say you are doing an anniversary/romantic trip which I often do with my wife to Niagara Falls - tons of better places, some even cheaper. But just for fun…..a cool, clean spot!
Overall verry bad it more a motel than à hôtel i would not recommand The location is good if you are with kids but service socks and the matress are not confortable. Very expensive for what it is dont expect much
Check in and out was very quick and courteous. Location is fantastic and the pool was very welcome. The bed was a bit hard and the pillows were very small. Only provided 2 cups for coffee in the morning and no cups provided in the bathroom.
The Pros: - location, location, location! It’s in the heart of Clifton Hill and makes running back to the hotel to drop things off or go to the bathroom very easy. - the staff are nice. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant. - every room has a balcony (although ours overlooked the rooftop patio of a restaurant, a balcony is generally a good thing). The Cons: - hotel needs some updating. The furniture and bathroom fixtures are all two or three (or four) decades old and could use a refresh. - I am a stickler for making sure there are no hairs in the bathroom of hotel rooms and they failed on that front here. Sure, they’re probably the cleaning person’s, but if they aren’t mine I don’t want them there. - when I have to play caretaker in a room I’m paying for, the hotel loses stars in its review. Here I had fix the drain plug on the sink (not too bad) and the toilet that wouldn’t flush (much worse). It may be surprising given the review, but I’d stay here again for the location alone - assuming we were coming to hang out on the Clifton strip.…
