What a fantastic B&B on the outskirts of Niagara Falls but only a 20minute walk to the Falls along the R. Niagara. The hostess made us feel very welcome- she was very pleasant & friendly- nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, and an en-suite bathroom with bathtub. The free wi-fi was also very good. The excellent cooked breakfasts were made to order (I’d thoroughly recommend the cheese, ham & spinach omelettes) and you could help yourself to pastries etc… I’d thoroughly recommend staying here if you’re staying in Niagara Falls and want to be somewhere peaceful. Prices are very reasonable too!

Ellis House is named after the street and not after the owner. These are two lovingly maintained houses with super clean rooms and apartments. Vindhya, the owner, welcomes guests to breakfast in the main house in the morning. However, a time slot is set when you check in, as she prepares the breakfast fresh. We have rarely eaten such a good omelette with crispy bacon. Otherwise, there is a manageable buffet with some fresh fruit and sweet pastries. Our spacious apartment was in the annex, only the bathroom is a bit small. In the old houses, the floor creaks, so we heard every step of the residents above us. But that didn't bother us and we slept well in the quiet area. There are enough parking spaces in the back yard. The WEGO bus stop is not far away and it is advisable to leave the car behind. However, the bus only runs between 9:45 am and 6 pm outside of the season. We therefore had to walk the 30 minutes to/from the waterfalls twice. However, we felt safe along the less frequented route even in the evening. If you are looking for peace and quiet and don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle, the Ellis House is a good place to stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our trip to visit family . We arrived and was greeted by our host , who was really friendly and made us feel at home . The accommodation the Ellis room was spotless and had everything you needed and more . The breakfast was in a cute setting and consisted of a continental type followed by a freshly cooked choice of omelette, different types of eggs ,French toast or pancakes. We chose the scrambled eggs one day and omelette the next both of which were perfect . The b and b was a 30 min walk to the falls set in a quiet and safe feeling part of town ,we had no problem walking back at 11 pm . Our experience was a great one and would highly recommend Ellis house b and b .

Price is just one factor when booking a place, the other would be amenities, parking, wifi, meals etc
This place has it all.
This was for our anniversary and it was a great decision to stay there.
Breakfast made to order. Free parking on the back, free wifi, fireplace, king bed, coffee tea hot chocolate anytime day or night
The host, Vindhya, is so less at and welcoming. Asked what we wanted for breakfast we chose the omelet with bacon and it was good and tasty.
I brought my my own hot sauce since most places only supply Tabasco or sriracha and those two are more ketchup with some kick than they are actual hot sauce.
Would I recommend this place.. absolutely and without question.
We are returning there New Year’s Eve. When you find a good place to stay you stick to it.

We stayed in one of the apartments of Ellis house and were very pleased with the cleanliness and awesome breakfast. Although walking to the Falls is about 20 min, one can also drive or take the local bus. Ellis House is very well located in a neighbourhood with heritage houses and close to all attractions in Niagara Falls, ON.

Lovely B&B, close enough to the falls to walk (although after a day at the falls it does feel a long way back!) and just round the corner from a Wego stop.
The owner was lovely, very welcoming and she makes THE best pancakes for breakfast!
The rooms were small but clean with everything you need. There is a nice deck at the front to sit on if you have a room with no balcony.
It was nice to stay out of the hustle and bustle of the main Niagara Falls area. Plenty of space to park your car for free and walk / Wego to the falls' area.

We recently stayed here for three nights. It’s a perfect location, away from the hustle and bustle around the Falls, but not too far to walk in. Parking was easy, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, specially the pancakes!

I arrived at this B and B expecting a nice welcome and a tour of the property but instead was pressed for payment and just handed the keys to the room that was suppose to be the 'best' of all offered.
It was small and cramped and there were so many rules I thought I could at least use shampoo in the shower!!?!?!! I asked for a glass of water at breakfast and was told "Im busy at the moment" There were more issues that arose during my stay but to keep it short not worth the price or the effort to get to!
I would never go back to this b and b nor would I recommend it for the $150 plus tax rate per night for a room the size of a bathroom. The only plus would be the fact its 10-15 minutes from the falls.
This host would be best to learn some customer service and offer some hospitality to their guests. Just be pleasant I dont need you to do cartwheels for me!

Response from Ellis House, Hostess - Inn Keeper, Cook, Reservation Agent, Grounds Keeper, House Keeping, Maintenance, Tour Guide, and everthing in between. at Ellis House Bed and Breakfast
Responded Jul 23, 2006
Depending on what time each guest checks in; if arriving very late, we try not to disturb guests that may already be enjoying a good night sleep. When you come down in the morning; we look forward to assisting our guests with any questions they may have. We don't usually as for payment up front; but deal with payment at check out time. But; if the credit card used to reserve the suite is invalid at time of check in, we do ask for a different one at the time of check in. Some people prefer to pay in Cash and not have to use a credit card. Invalid credit cards usually result in holding a reservation in all hotels; but as a small family business, we have a higher level of trust with our guests. To ensure everyone's comfort we do ask that people refrain from running the jacuzzi tubs after 10:30pm; and because they are recirculating jacuzzi tubs, if you add shampoo.... WOW are your going to have bubbles EVERY where... : ) We pride ourselves on breakfast each morning; starting off with fruit, yogurt, fresh baked bread, etc. while we cook your hot breakfast. You never have to worry about leaving hungry. We want our guests to remember, tell friends and come back again and again next breakfast time. Coffee is always never ending in our house, as I drink it non stop all day. The minute I get into the kitchen, coffee is a brewing. Start your day; there is nothing nicer than a guest coming down before breafast, enjoying that HOT cup of FRESH brewed coffee out on the back yard gazebo. A nice start to the morning, listening to the roar echoing from the Niagara Falls while you sit at the patio. Watch the squirels run around the back yard.... please take one home.
