The DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton - Niagara Falls garners appreciation for its prime location within walking distance to attractions, despite a challenging hill, and the stunning views from its clean, spacious rooms. While the atmosphere is often described as welcoming with its attractive decor, guests have mixed feelings about the value, pointing out the high room rates and parking fees but noting reasonable dining costs.
Service quality varies, with reports of both friendly staff and occasional lapses in responsiveness. Amenities are generally celebrated, although some visitors miss certain basics and find the decor a bit dated.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
After researching several hotels in Niagara Falls, we settled on this one. We wanted a view of the Falls, but the hotels with the best views charged a ridiculous amount for parking, or parking was a hassle. I'm glad we chose this hotel, it was perfect for our needs. Parking was $22/day and we could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. We chose a room with a view of the American Falls and it was lovely. The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfy, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. You are only about a 15-minute walk from the main viewing areas of the Falls, and Clifton Hill is about the same distance. We used the restaurant in the hotel once for breakfast, and it was pretty good. There is a Starbucks across from the check-in desks, which I found quite handy. There is also an IHOP across the street, and many restaurants within a short walking distance. The fitness area was great, with a variety of equipment and free weights. We didn't use the pool, but we took a peak and it looked great as well. The only warning I have has to do with the fireworks. Our room would have had the perfect view, and according to the tourism website they were supposed to go off at 8, but as we were going to our restaurant that night, they went off just after 6. That was disappointing, so just beware the times they advertise on Niagara tourism might not be correct.

We stayed here for two nights, the hotel was very nice very clean our hotel room was also clean the staff was very friendly. I was not happy with the breakfast at the restaurant I didn’t feel that the quality of the food was very good for the price. We did get a coffee on the last morning in the little Starbucks in the lobby, that was fine. I liked that there was a place to fill my water bottle on the bottom floor down by the pool near the gym so we didn’t have to keep buying waters also. We had a great view out of our window of the skylon tower
and you could see the mist from the falls. We had a fun couple of days here.

I stayed here first time in December with my family. The fronk desk Asian lady was rude, after checking in she basically said "I am sure you would find the elevator" . We asked to provide a couple of basic amenities like toothbrush and paste ahead of arrival but they never left in the room.
The rooms were decent and clean. The breakfast was basic, pretty much juice, bread and cereal. The Starbucks on-site is a nice addition and you can charge coffee to your room.
Overall if it wasn't for Hilton's 100% resort credit I wouldn't go to this place again.

we stayed at the Hilton Double Tree on the 3rd week of August for two nights. We booked two rooms and it was good. Location was very convenient and they don't charge tourist tax unlike some of the hotels in the area. The hotel implemented on site mask and provided hand sanitizer to minimize the risk of spreading covid. We felt safe when we went.

The Double Tree Fallsview Niagara was our choice after much on-line research, based on its offering: room size, value, amenities, and location. We were happy with our decision. The hotel was quiet during our stay. Without exception, the staff was courteous, friendly, clear and helpful. Beds and pillows were comfortable, the walk-in shower was roomy, and the in-room coffee maker brewed 2 cups simultaneously. The view may not be the best that Niagara has to offer, but its location was walking distance to major attractions. Parking is plentiful and right on property. A water bottle station on the lower level provided unlimited supply of filtered water, and a lobby bar and Starbucks were appreciated.
Some reviews mentioned the lack of cleaniless. While we did notice discarded paper towels on the public bathroom floor as well as a broken toilet paper holder, those were remedied within an acceptable time frame, given the realities of operating a hotel during Covid times.

My wife and I decided to have a getaway at Niagara. All this covid stuff is so tiring. We enjoyed a nice drive, stopping g first at Niagara on the Lake for lunch. We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon. Check in was great, polite, quick and efficient. Its a nice hotel with a nice lobby. The restaurant is closed unfortunately but its close to numerous others.we spent the rest of the day wandering Niagara, with no crowds it was quite nice.
There is ample parking at the hotel with in and out privileges but it costs $20 per day.
Our room wax a double queen overlooking the American falls. Each room has a sticker showing it was cleaned and not used since. Bed was really comfortable, tv was full channel with pay movies.
Bathroom looked new with a shower, no tub
All in all very nice time. Definitely recommended.

Stayed here for three night early August. Room was great, we slept really well. We really liked the pool area (although hot tub was closed due to COVID-19), and so did other guests, it was great. We had a la cart breakfast (bacon and eggs) in the restaurant every day, breakfast is very reasonably priced (continental is free) if you are a Diamond member. As expected, no maid service (due to COVID-19) in room during stay. Parking was $20 per night, which was expected and reasonable. Location is somewhat strange, in the Fallsview area, and you can easily walk to Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and the entertainment at Clifton Hill.
I have stayed in many hotels in Niagara Falls over the years, and this has become one of my favourites!

The location of this property is great. 20 mins away to Niagara falls by foot. Ample of parking space which is cost $20 per night. There is also a starbucks in the lobby which is great for a coffee lover. The hotel was busy during our stay no issues upon check in and our room is ready on the spot. Swimming pool requires reservation before usage and there’s a limit for 30 mins only. Towel is available in the pool side. No lifeguard and bellman on Duty maybe because of covid.
Our room smells damp when we arrived, busted lights in the toilet and crumpled bed curtains. Room doesn’t look fresh. I called the operator to request for a toothbrush and water however it was mentioned that they dont give water as it is not free. When compare that Hilton Hotel does provides water even to its new member he said that they have different policy. He could have inform us that we can drink the water from the tap and its safe rather than telling us that he didn’t created the hotel policy. We paid a generous amount of rate for 1 night and asking for 1 bottle of water for my kids wouldn’t hurt so much.

We took the suite with the pullout coutch bed on the 10th floor. Five of us sleeping there. At first it was fine, we loved the space we got as we were staying there for four nights and the corner view was pretty cool. But second day we started to smell dampness every time we walked back in. The bathroom is outdated and needs a major face lift judging from the smell of moisture. Also the air conditioning was not powerful enough for the whole room I had the temperature down at 16,5 degrees Celsius and we still did not use covers.
Also COVID seems to be an excuse to slack on service... that was my major down point. We asked for towels, I had to call back because they were not delivered, we requested help with a cab that never came and with 3 kids we needed the bathroom lightly cleaned and it did not happen. It was very disappointing when you know you are in a 4 star hotel.
For the same price I would try the Ramada or the Marriott next time...

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments and bring your concerns to our attention. We are so sorry for any issues you encountered while staying with us and wish you had made us aware at the time. We are always available to bring extra amenities at any time of the day. We apologize for the fact that you did not receive your towels and it would have been an error on our part in delivery. Although hotels globally do not provide standard stayover service due to Covid -19 we definitely provide amenities as requested and we are so sorry for any shortcomings on our part. We have forwarded your comments regarding the dampness in the room on to our housekeeping and maintenance teams for further investigation. Thank you again for making us aware. We hope you will consider visiting us again on a future trip to Niagara. We are continually upgrading our facilities to provide a great experience for our guests.

Just returned from staying 3 nights at this hotel.
Overall the hotel is very good, looked spotlessly clean throughout. Check in was seamless and the warm welcome cookie was a nice touch!
Location is perfect, just 5-10 mins walk from the Clifton hill area with bars/restaurants along the way.
We had a falls view room on the 16th floor which gave good views of the falls. A little tip though, nothing major, but the outside of the windows could do with a clean (not sure how often they are given how high up you are)
Room was nice, bed was comfy, but I found the pillows too soft and had to use all 4! Also found it wierd that the duvets didn’t have covers, just a couple of thin sheets on top of it. Couldn’t work out how to turn the shower on initially, and a quick search online solved the problem, as it seems many people have had the same issue! Air con was ok, didn’t seem that powerful and room felt warmer than what we set it to.
We had breakfast on one of the mornings, service from the staff was excellent but didn’t think the breakfast was very nice. The sausages tasted as though they had been deep fried and didn’t have a nice taste, so we decided not to go back.
All in all a good stay and would happily stay again if ever I was in Niagara again.

Hi, yes we have a microwave in our guest pantry that is available 24 hours with the guest key.
I am Hilton Honors. Only perk at this Doubletree Niagara Falls was 2 bottles of water and 2 cookies at checkin. No free breakfast buffet or breakfast voucher.
Hello. If you are referencing the VIA Rail station in Niagara Falls, Ontario - Canadian side, that would be about a 12 minute taxi ride, cost would be about $15 or so. The official Amtrack Station is on the American Side. I would suggest google maps - with the station exact address to confirm what side of the border. If it is in the USA, I would suggest a taxi to the Rainbow Bridge and then walking across and taxi to the hotel. Less than $10 once you arrive into Canada.
