We have stayed at the campground portion of this park when we owned our RV. Staying 3 nights at the motel part provided a very clean comfortable basic experience reminding us of our childhood growing up in the 1960s. It was a refreshing breather from daily hectic life. A large outdoor pool cooled us down from the high temperatures and the miniature golf was a nice evening adventure. The 18 hole course is minimal cost, but it needs some maintenance work. Located on the Niagara Parkway on the Niagara River provided great scenery. The park is just inside the border of Niagara Falls Ontario coming from Fort Erie. A great location to access Fort Erie/PeaceBridge and Niagara Falls entertainment.

There were pros and cons to this campground. We had reservations for 5 days, but were able to add a day to the beginning of our stay with no difficulty. We were well aware of the need to pay cash, we were prepared for that.
We were greeted by a very young barely 14 year old young man. We were sent to a site that wouldn't even fit our 13 foot camper, and only had a 110 plug. Spaces are small and very poorly marked. The young man did his best to help find us a site, and after 3 sites that were not well identifiable, we set up. Within an hour, he was back telling us that we owed an additional fee per day as our reservation was not for 30 amp service. Rather than argue since we were set up and the internet was so poor I could not pull up my original reservation, we paid the additional fee.
Bathrooms were cleaned daily, but were in need of work. Poor water pressure. There was a washer and dryer, coin operated. I lost 3 dollars in the washer, but when advised of this, the owner made no effort to reimburse me.
WiFi is spotty, and is not free. The charge is $2 per device per 24 hours, and any service is extremely poor.
The grounds are pretty, but again need work. A large tree that had been trimmed and was obviously dead came down within 5 feet of a tent and broke a table. Nothing was done during the 4 days we were there after to remove it. Lots of flying insects.
We did not utilize the pool. There is a nice little putt putt. The drive along the Niagara Parkway is absolutely beautiful.

Nice campground close enough to Niagara Falls without being in the tourist hustle and bustle. Easy on and off the QEW. Views of the river are fabulous and love that the Parkway trail goes right past. The on-site picnic tables are in great shape and nice fire pits. Washrooms are clean and well-maintained. Quiet and friendly fellow campers. We were there with a group of 3 trailers and were able to get sites all together, which was perfect. The sites were quite tight so would have been less desirable if we didn’t know the people in the adjacent sites. Same with getting in and out of the sites. Having to pay with etransfer is a bit of a nuisance. But we enjoyed our stay and would definitely camp here again!

The only reason I am giving this campground one star, is due to the awful customer service approach from one of the ladies assisting at the office.

They do have two ladies assisting customers in the office. I am not sure if they are owners or employees.

A young lady called Sasha, was very helpful, kind and well spoken. The other lady, called Ana, is so bad mannered, she should never be dealing with customers whatsoever. Horrible attitude, talks to you almost shouting and giving you orders. absolutely ruined my stay.
I witnessed 3 incidents in less than 24 hours. First tried to ask her a question and when I oppened the office door, told me to wait outside. After waiting, I thought to open the door and wait inside the office, and she said almost shouted" I told you to wait outside."
She was trying to enforce my son to wear a mask while he was on his own and outdoors (that is not what ontario law stipulates)
Last incident is when my husband went to pay for the wood right before leaving the camp. Since we had a storm the night before and it was a challenge packing everything wet, he let her know we need a few extra 15 minutes at checkout time, to finish loading the van, (11 a.m. is checkout time required by the camp). She reacted horribly stating " if you stay an extra one minute I will charge the whole day". No care, no flexibility at all.
As my husband stated " I have stayed in five star hotels and they never have an issue or lack of flexibility like this camp. How do you expect us to come back if you act like this ".
After his response, she tried to fix it by not charging the minigolf fee we owed. My husband explained,we do not want free. But at least the minimum flexibility.
Other than these issues, the campground is decent and clean. Has a nice pool (not heated, but not extremely cold). Washrooms are clean, but customer service needs better employees. Definitely not going back to this camp just because of the way we were treated.

Response from Cecilia Borbely, Owner at Riverside Park Motel and Campground
Responded Aug 30, 2020
The health and safety of our guests and staff are our priority and our responsibility during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to our guests' arrival, we ensure that they have received and reviewed our Campers' Code of Conduct, as well as our Rules and Regulations. In order to facilitate physical distancing on our property, only one person may be in our office at a time. In keeping with the mandatory mask by-law imposed by the Niagara Region, guests are required to wear a mask inside our office. Unfortunately, neither you or your family followed these rules, though repeatedly asked. We politely asked you to wear a mask and not enter the office if another guest was already inside. As well, on your morning of checkout, when informed of the checkout time and the late checkout fee if you wished to stay into the late afternoon, your husband began to shout at our staff. He yelled that even at the Hilton he could stay until the time he wanted. We asked him to stop his behaviour. It is unfortunate that in response to reasonable requests to abide by our policies you felt the need to write a review filled with falsehoods.

This is our frst year camping with a trailer but we have been camping for decades with a tent. So we parked our trailer here at Riverside for the season. And we totally LOVE it...

It is a small and quiet place, off the beaten path. Its not a party place, mostly retired folks. Its wonderful if you are looking to chill and relax. If you are looking for parties, fireworks and drinking, this is NOT the place for you.

Riverside is located right on River Road. Acoss the street is the actual Niagara River. We like to pack a picnic and spend the afternoon fishing and enjoying the river!

The park has some great amenities including mini putt, a playground, soccer field,WIFI and VERY clean washrooms, showers and coin laundry. As well as a small general store with firewood for sale, and the best part? THE POOL! Solar heated, not too many chemicals, the pool is AMAZING! We spend most of our time there! The camp ground is up against a field and there are 2 horses that come an visit every now and then. My child LOVES them, it adds a special treat to our day!

The camping sites are large and nicely shaded and have a variety of services, you can pick electric, water and sewer or not. The owners are very accomidating and will suggest a site that is best for your needs and are quick to fix any issues you might have!

The only down side we have encountered are the added fees, $5 for mini putt, you have to pay for guests and wifi etc. It can add up!

I would highly recommend this camp ground to young families or retirees or people looking for a quiet place to relax!

This campground is just minutes from Niagara Fall, Canada. Right on the Niagara River.
Not a bad view in the place. Rest rooms are immaculate. The Managers and staff go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Sites have FHU. We stayed here in a motorhome and will definitely be back often.

Some very small sites but found one large enough for us to fit.
Could not imagine the park when full. : (
Nice facilities with a mini golf and pool on grounds and a bike trail to the falls in front.
It is around 8-9 miles to the falls area from the campground.

We spent one night at the campgrounds in our small RV. The first site did not have the 30 amp service I had requested and it was not level so we were given a different site, with an additional charge of course...we could not use the fire pit because it was behind our camper and we would have been basically sitting on our neighbours site....the showers are a joke, no water pressure with dollar store curtains...no hooks for towels etc.... this is a great location for visiting the area but really could use some fixing up! The price is high for what you get.

We were camping with a tent trailer at Riverside Campground for a weekend and were very pleased with our experience. The campground is lovely and clean and the owner who was in the office was very kind and pleasant. The bathrooms are clean and the showers free....the sites were large and well layed out.
The campground is situated right across from the Niagara River and there is a wonderful paved biking/ walkway that you can access directly from the campground. It is easy to find, just off of the QEW and only about 10 mins from the outlet mall.
