The place is very welcoming with wide range of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Almost all the events are included in the package of our stay and the room is very cozy and temperature is easily adjustable. I would have given it a 5 but unfortunately with our stay at room 4111 one of the duvet that was inserted on the first bed near the washroom had a blood stain on it. We just found out about it before we leave. #greatwolflodge Please double check the duvets and linens before you allow guests to check in. One last thing that we love is the water temp in the waterpark.

Hotel's Favourite
I was quite surprised to constantly see 5 star ratings for GWL but after making this a formal 4 night/5 day holiday with my wife and 2 yr old daughter, I completely understand -  What an amazing adventure GWL was! This is a very mild version of Disney and the right balance re: activities, price and location.  Here are my notes to keep this review succinct:  1) Make your reservations 90 days in advance as you will get the best deals.  2) In summer, book your rooms overlooking the outside waterpark, it will give you that destination holiday feel.  3) Buy the Paw Pass: The kids will love the activities; bowling, cub club activities, arcade, magiquest adventure, build your own teddy bear...etc. When they are busy, it gives us parents a chance to unwind just a little bit.   4) The rooms at first will seem expensive, but if you treat this like a proper destination vacation, it will be far more comparable and reasonable.  5) They have daily activities to keep your kids busy, not to mention an awesome indoor waterpark, even in the worst of Canadian winters (Dec-March).  6) The lines on the slides at the waterpark aren't bad comparatively, and there is lots to do in the waterpark for all age groups.    7) The staff all around are great. That is some solid training they've got. It seems like a world on its own. They do thier best to make sure you are happy and having an enjoyable holiday.   8) GWL tends to have special events during occasions and holidays; Father's Day, Mother's Day, Halloween, Christmas etc. I went during Father's Day, and I felt so special with my daughter celebrating me and that special day. So memorable with the dance party and balloon drop! The weekends and holidays tend to be busier and more expensive, but makes for more excitement at the resort as a whole!  9) The breakfast is an $18pp buffet and accommodates vegan and veg options. Ps: Their waffles are eggless! (For those with egg allergies) I was quite impressed. Although, if budgeting more consciously, you can bring basic food items for the rooms and there is a Starbucks, Williams and Timmies not so far a drive away. 10. They also have a nice Cafe which merits a shout out. It has great breakfast items and goodies open all day from morning to night. This was a particular favorite for my wife - for their almond milk lattes to their chocolate strawberries and cheese/plain and chocolate croissants - all made in house fresh everyday!  11) The Cub club has a few activities both free and paid to keep the kids busy, and also kids get a souvenir out of activities. It is priced quite reasonably and worth it.  12) The arcade is good and full of lights and noise, but quite a few machines and mini-rides weren't working. Bowling is fun as well.  13) The lunch options at Buckets and the Watering Hole are actually quite good - even for vegetarians! The pricing for the food can naturally be as expected. But it is decent quality. And the Pina Colada at the Watering Hole is the best I've ever had! What a pleasant treat on a hot day!  14) Northwoods Pizza is good, but order whole pizzas, the individual slices have been sitting there for a while...  15) The Bear Claw is great, but they need 2-3 more options for vegan/eggless cupcakes and desserts.  16) The evening activities are awesome, my daughter absolutely loved the dance parties. Every evening they have something different (Bingo, Games, Magic Shows) and it really helps keep the kids occupied and burn off thier energy. The Characters also come out 4 times a day which is awesome. Got some great pics out of that!  17) On average 2 nights and 3 days would normally do the trick to fully engross yourself in the GWL experience.   18) The dinner options for vegetarians are quite limited to include the typical salads, pizza, boiled vegetables...etc. I emailed in advance and was informed that special accommodations would be made for my dietary restrictions but even after speaking to the chef, they prepared me a very bland pasta....the dinner component was honestly quite disappointing. As an FYI, the menu is a 3 day rotation. The advisable thing would be to go out to one of the many restaurants at Niagara for Dinner or just do ubereats. Overall we loved our vacation, and it was a total joy to see our daughter have so much fun! We cannot wait to go back during Christmas!  Mahesh B.

We've been coming to GWL every year for close to 10 years. Our first stay here was amazing, and we all had a blast. It became our yearly tradition. Unfortunately the resort has been steadily declining. Our room was ready early, which was a nice surprise and check in was easy, but the room was filthy. There were food stains on the bedding, walls, the bathroom was pretty gross. the room smelled stale and dirty. I brought a small bottle of windex and some disinfectant wipes just in case, because you know that kids are pretty messy, and wound up using all of the supplies on check in to clean the dirty room. I pulled the bedding off to check it, and there were hairs and stains on the sheets! A previous guest had also obviously ate pizza in bed, because it was all over the brown bed spread. Our fireplace wasn't working and the fridge was also broken. I didn't find out until our second day that there is no housekeeping during stay, we had to clean our own room???!! What hotel does this? The hotel is looking very run down, needs a deep cleaning and repairs. The virtual reality game wasn't working on the first day we were there, and quite a few arcade games didnt work. Waterpark was jam packed and hot. Room service menu is pretty pathetic. The elevators are SLOW, and only 1 for entire hotel. We had to walk around and find a stairwell. On the plus side, most staff were friendly and helpful although they were looking tired and overworked. Only two staff were very rude, one restaurant worker, she was bossy to guests so can't imagine her attitude with other staff, and one of the arcade staff seemed to have contempt for guests. Also, one of the lifeguards was very clearly on some kind of drugs, either that or he is bat sht crazy. I'm guessing drugs. He was bizarrely pacing and talking to himself with a weird grin on his face, when he saw a kid stand up on one of the lilypads in the pool, I thought he was going to take that poor kid out he got so aggressive. Everyone stopped and stared. He then went back to grinning and talking to himself. We stayed out of his way. There were some good things, the experience in the buffet restaurant is always unique, kids love the booths and the outdoor woodsy feel. Food was also quite good here. The bowling alley was fun for kids, and when the vr game was working it was also fun. The waterslides are the best, and my son and I have a great time going down the vortex waterslide together. The wave pool is fun, and kids club is a fun place for kids to chill out and do some quieter activities. The gift shop and swim shop suck, overpriced and nothing good. Magiquest needs repairs. Overall GWL is on a downward spiral. I really thought this year would be better, since they had time during covid to get the place cleaned up, repaired and up to standard, but nope. This is our family's last stay. We're moving on to better adventures.

What a great night away with my daughters! The rooms and resort were clean and safe. The staff are absolute amazing! From check in, to the restaurants and to the shop, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you go, make sure to meet Amanda in the shop! She is AMAZING with the kids and can answer of your questions! She truly made my kids feel at home.

This was our third or fourth time at Great Wolf, we live about an hour away. I have a “love/hate” relationship with this facility….”love” it due to convenience and proximity to home, the fact that kids get to be active and enjoy a “mini vacation”…”hate” it due to the food mostly (VERY tough to get healthy choices, it’s essentially burgers and hotdogs and ice cream wherever you go…plus the fact that the price tags are a bit ridiculous…10-15$ per chicken sandwich or burger). The noise level at night is also difficult, you can ask for a room at the end of a hallway, that may be your best bet. Except then you’re walking quite a bit to access the central part of all the action. The room with the loft is also an option since the noise does not carry as much upstairs. Overall it’s a fun filled day or two for the kids, I probably could not do more than 48 hrs there. But I’m sure we’ll be back!

I want to start off by saying my kids (7 & 8) had a great time!! We stayed for 2 nights. My oldest who isn't a fan of water even tried some water slides and ended up with a huge smile on her face after the first time down one. The staff at the front desk were great and very helpful and informative. We had a themed room and it was great, we found it to be fairly clean as well. My husband who hates hotels didn't find it too bad. To save some money, we brought all of our meals, including dinners as they have a mini fridge and a microwave. The not so good.....be forewarned, if the park is busy, it's brutal. We checked in on a Sunday and after checking in (which having a check in time of 4pm is ridiculous, especially if you are only going for 1 night) we spent some time at the water park and it wasn't too busy. Guessing because people were having dinner etc. Monday wasn't too busy but it was getting there. After walking by the water park on the Tuesday morning we were checking out, we were very glad to be leaving because it was super crowded. If it wasn't our scheduled day of departure, we honestly would have left. On the Monday they shut down the wave pool so everyone moved to the only other pool and you couldn't even move so we left the water park. The biggest negative we have is the cost, it's just absurd. I appreciate all the staff salaries and the cost of running a water park I'm sure isn't cheap but paying $600.00CND per night (and that was with a discount through CAA), at least give the kids complimentary wolf ears or something. Overall, my kids had fun and I'm sure they'll be talking about it for years and that was the point to the trip but I will not be taking them back simply due to the cost of the accommodations.

I'll try to be short. Online check-in is a great feature, but when it comes to filling out your ETA and the hotel offers you possible help,in case of early arrival before 4 pm,don't hold your breath, most likely you'll get to your room around 4 pm. Willow service, when you text about your room readiness, don't usually replyes back, you can get info by walking to the reception. I can attach the screenshot to prove, I have no reason to lie. Food is pretty much average, maybe it's just because I'm a good cook and it's really hard to impress me. Water and other attractions are amazing for kids and even some adults, your kids will remember this trip forever. And that brings me to another point, some of kids get excited so much ,so they can't fall asleep in time and generate excessive noise, unfortunately walls between rooms are very poor, regarding noise absorbtion. So if it's late time ,don't count on calling concierge, first respond will be they like called to the noisy room already and you know ,nah,it's not ,could've heard it, second call ,they say the guard is dispatched, nah. Nobody will come,so ,folks deal with the situation yourself. No help. That's how my last night was ruined completely, paying attention to the fact it's not a cheap hotel, makes you wonder ,what you paid for? Summary: mixed feeling - great for kids only, rest not so.
