I recommend Motel 6 if you are looking for an affordable, pet friendly, and convenient place to stay at while in Niagara.
It is walking distance to restaurants, breakfast places, gift shops, clifton entertainment, and the falls. I booked this motel because it is pet friendly with no charge. You can leave your pet in the room if you want to walk around as long as your pet is in a crate and if your pet doesn't have anxiety.
I was pleased that the room we got had hardwood flooring because it would've been easy to clean if my dog had made a mess. It was also clean.
Also we were able to reserved the pool just to ourselves for 30 mins. There is a mini fridge in the room which was nice, you can rent a microwave but if you don't want to there is one available in the lobby.
The front desk was a filipina lady (didn't get to ask her name) and she was really nice and welcoming.
There are only a couple of cons:
-The room smelled moldy/fishy and we realized it was the air coming from the AC that smelled bad; probably because the filter hadn't been replaced. I recommend you bring air freshner. We used our car's refreshner and stuck it in the AC and it didn't bother us anymore.
-Bring your own shampoo and conditioner as the ones they provide wouldn't be enough.
Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. My family would definitely come back :)

Dear Valued Guest; Thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful review. We absolutely take pride in our service especially during COVID19 where we are being tested at our highest level. However, we are still working on further improvements to make our property even more exciting and welcoming for all our guests to enjoy. Our AC units have been completely replaced and we have all brand new AC/Heating units that are much energy efficient. I like to personally thank you for acknowledging “Josephine” our elite team member at our front desk. She constantly gets rave reviews with her hospitality service and ethics. We hope to be at your service in the near future. Warmest regards David Managing Director

Excellent place to stay, clean & comfy, courteous staff, generous breakfast, great price & location!
We booked this Comfort Hotel for 3 nights, from June 27 to 30, at a super price compared to other available hotels. We were impressed from the moment we walked in! Kristina & Kimberley, both very welcoming and courteous, greeted us at the front desk. Our room was exactly like the photos posted on the website, bright, modern, clean, had ample space and was equipped with a fridge and microwave! The AC was quiet, beds were very comfortable and the wireless internet access was good. The cleaning staff were helpful and courteous. The hot buffet breakfast was included and consisted of pancakes, bacon or sausages, eggs, hash browned potatoes, yogurts, cereals, bagel, croissants and toast. Delicious! There was a fitness center available and the indoor pool was refreshing. Parking was available for $20 a night and well worth it. We pretty much parked on arrival and we walked to all the attractions we had planned to visit. Overall a great place to stay! We definitely look forward to our next visit here again! Thank you!

Dear valued guest; Thank you for your over the top review! I will be meeting with our entire team next week and definitely discussing your review with our 2 special employees; Kristina and Kimberly. It makes me smile from ear to ear when guests single out our employees, as we try so hard to have a high level of positive engagements with all our guests. Also I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed our facilities, noticed our renovations and well valued breakfast. Thank you once again for being so kind to our teams and making a special shout out to Kristina and Kimberly. They will be so happy and thrilled to see this! Have a wonderful summer and we hope, we can service you again in the nearest future! Yours in Hospitality David

We had a great visit at Comfort Hotel. Check in was quick, parking was only $20/night and there was plenty of spaces close to the back door, the room was small but clean, and the complimentary breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was kept stocked the entire time we were there. The noise from the hall was a little loud at times, especially with people going to their rooms after 2am, but that happens in most hotels and otherwise the stay was great.

We stayed July 17-19/2021. It was difficult enough to find a hotel that was pet friendly, needless to say we didn't have much of a choice. However, their booking system online only tells half truths.....my confirmation said we would have king beds in each room, we got two queen beds in our room. At the hotel, they said that I had booked the queen rooms, my printouts say otherwise. Parking was also a ridiculous charge along with a charge $25 per dog, per day per room. Rooms were on the first floor, which was not a big deal, but you can hear every single noise including a pen drop! We had our A/C units on high to drown out the noises in the hotel, which meant the A/C unit was also very loud like a tractor lol! The lady at the front desk the first night coughed all night long, you heard every conversation and every ding of the elevator. None of us slept a wink as my dogs were so uneasy with all the noises. I voiced my concern in the morning to the manager, who wasn't in any way concerned with Covid-19, not even wearing masks. Whether you believe in the virus or not, you are running a business, a hotel, where public health is a concern. Your concern should be the wellbeing of your guests. She was not very helpful or friendly and offered to change my room to another room away from the front desk, was never done. The second room that we booked for my parents didn't even have working lights by the night table so they couldn't see anything if the main lights were off. No smoke alarm in the room either, it was disconnected with exposed wires. We asked front desk to fix the light issue and they said they would send someone and nobody came. We will never ever stay here again! I was so disappointed after spending so much on a hotel that wasn't even up to safety regulations or customer service and so basic for what we paid. I like to post positive reviews but there really wasn't anything positive to say other than it's location is very close to everything. It was clean in our two rooms we rented. Overall complete dissatisfaction.

Dear valued guest; I would like to apologize for any inconvenience during your stay. Although, stating your stay was torture is a bit hard to swallow. Unfortunately during your reservation process you did “not” select a pet room. Upon your arrival my team upgraded you to a room that was 25 dollars more expensive to compensate our limited availability for your pet, as well on our Pet Friendly floor. Yes our Pet fee is $25.00 up to a 30 pound K9 for our hotel, we do not accept Cats. As far as our General Manager with COVID19 protocols, I have to disagree with you. Our General Manager has a medical condition which she has a written letter from her Doctor and the support, exemption from letter with Public Health. We have had zero cases at our hotel with not taking any quarantine travels, homeless or help from the hospitals, as we have been renovating our hotel for the past 8 months. Most or all our staff are double vaccinated. Our health inspector also came this week and passed us with flying colours due to our COVID19 protocols, which I can prove to you. We also had health inspectors randomly come to our hotel 4 times to check in monthly/bi monthly to making sure everything is up to par. Overall the best thing that really meant to me in this review was you noticing how clean we are. We are completely committed to cleanliness and will be raising the bar even higher in this department. In short, we are sorry we didn’t live up to your travel expectations, I will be taking this positively to only improve our internal operations for all our guests to enjoy Yours in hospitality David

I stayed at this hotel for the weekend and let me say, it was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The workers were very welcoming, the room I stayed in was nice, the beds are comfy, and they have self-making pancake machines (not to mention a hot breakfast buffet)! When visiting my friend at a different hotel, I thought that her room was a lot more cramped and smaller yet she paid a much higher price for it than I did. The hotel is also very close to the falls and other tourist attractions and I appreciated the strict no smoking rules as I was staying with a younger child. All in all, I definitely recommend this hotel :)

We booked a room through booking.com three weeks ago. We arrived there at 3:30 to check in(check in at 3). Were advised that they only got two cleaners to clean the entire hotel and that our room is not ready and we have to wait another 20 mins. Thats fine, we sat in the hot car with our dog panting for another hour. Finally i went inside to get an update, after another 15 minutes of waiting, we were told by the head of the cleaner that the host gave our room to another person(by mistake) and there r no pet friendly rooms available anymore. We told the host that we were asked to wait for 20 mins and she just shrugged and looked at us blankly. Again we were told to wait in the kitchen this time, we were there for another hour waiting and our dog is going crazy at this time. Finally the host came back to us and said there is a room for us but we have to pay extra since its two queen beds!! What a slap in the face! Getting us to pay for an error that was made on their end! When we refused to pay, thr host mumbled something and told us we need to wait as she needs to get in touch with her boss again. After another 30 mins of wait and we were at our wits’ end. We went to the front desk and got our refund and left. We will never ever go back there again and I suggest you don't either. Bunch of greedy managers and incompetent staff with zero accountability. They cant even get their employees and cleaners to come to work…

Dear Valued Guest; We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Respectfully Niagara just opened and we fell a bit behind cleaning our rooms. But your room was 100% cleaned and ready for you. We take our housekeeping department very seriously along side the elephant in the room COVID19. We implemented much more cleaning measures for the safety of our guests, which unfortunately takes us at least 15mins to 20 mins more to clean - which in my eyes, is totally worth the wait. ie; After we remove all sheets and replace everything to new beddings, we spray down our room with a non-toxic disinfectant. Although we are fully staffed and ready ….there are no excuses for your extended delay. However, during your booking process, you unfortunately missed to communicate that you were arriving with a pet. We also take bookings with Pets very seriously and have designated rooms, which we unfortunately didn’t have ready for you, as we didn’t know you had a pet? On a second note, no one asked you to wait in your car or force you to do this? We encourage all our guests to go enjoy the falls, attractions, beautiful scenery, including the awesome hiking trails too! We also have luggage storage, indoor heated pool, full size gym and much more to enjoy. I believe, if you had walked to the falls (10mins) enjoyed all the food and attractions - upon your return your fresh and certified clean room would of been ready. We will never compromise cleanliness to give anyone a room faster, we don’t want to take any risks either pre COVID19 or post COVID19. We certainly hope you change your mind with staying with us and to give us a second opportunity to make your stay much more enjoyable Wishing you and your family continued safe travels. Warmest regards David

We paid $20 a day, on top of the hotel fee's, for parking, but the parking lot was full, and the over flow parking was full, so we had to find other accommodations.
There was 1 nice person working who delt with noisy people and also helped us with a lost card. The "warm" continental breakfast was cold and hard. The prepackaged muffin was good though. If you get a joining room with someone that is not your party, ask to be moved as the door between stops NO noise from traveling. Very noisy nights.

Dear valued guest; Thank you for your feedback. I’m not too sure if this is your first visit to the falls or not? But all core located hotels charge for parking, must have hotel fees that are mandatory by Niagara Falls Tourism. We’ll 100% try our best to do better for you and your family. It’s sad to see you go, but we understand that people need to stay at other locations to see our true value and service shine. Keep on traveling and helping our tourism industry within the falls to get back on its feet. Much appreciated David

Me and the wife were visiting Ontario from BC and decided to stay a night a tour around Niagara Falls. Found this gem in a great location for an amazing price. Had a great stay, nothing but good things to say about this place.
Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, acknowledged as soon as we saw staff (which is a great plus in my books).
Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Niagara Falls is definitely a place where you have to stay at least one night to be able to take in what it has to offer.
The staff had recommended me to book the boat ride around the falls the next day as it is usually sold out on the day of. We had an amazing experience that we will never forget!
Thank you guys, and keep up the great work!

The staff at this hotel are clearly trying hard to make your stay pleasant. I’ll start with the things I liked, no carpets, comfy pillows, microwave and fridge in the room, breakfast, pool, gym and decent towels. We used most of the amenities, so here’s the rundown.
Gym: nicely decorated, enough empty space, but could benefit from a few yoga mats for floor work. I did not notice a spray bottle for sanitizing afterwards. They did have plenty of towels and a water cooler. They had a bench, air bike, treadmill, dumbbells and a cable machine. Everything was in working order. The floor seemed too dirty to sit on.
Pool: the indoor pool was small, there were plenty of towels, the acoustics are pretty bad because it was very busy, over a dozen guests, and super humid. Kids had fun!
Lobby: The lobby is small, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and greet you with a smile, and genuinely seem to care. There is 1 ice machine that worked fine for us. We filled up the ice bucket in our room. The elevators are fine. Some guests take elevators while dripping wet from pool so, floor can be wet at times. Although we did not bring any pets, I did see one little dog and appreciate that people with pets have a place to stay. I noticed they were in a room on the ground floor, which is thoughtful.
One thing that I personally found frustrating is the size of the breakfast area. The hotel was sold out on the night of our stay. It was busting at the seams. (Hooray for the management! )
We drove by many motels that looked much less busy, so clearly this hotel is doing something right. A few areas that suffered under the burden is 1) the elevators, at 9:15 am I waited (with a dozen others) to ride the elevator down from the 4th floor, eventually we just took the stairs, 2) the lobby gets very crowded at normal check-in times, 3) the breakfast was ridiculously busy with big line ups. I went down 4 times and each time was busy, no place to sit and the highly sought after items (egg omelette and bacon were always out). There were a number of families so incredibly frustrated that I would recommend bypassing this experience unless the hotel is much less busy, or set your expectations low for protein.
4) the pool was crowded (very hot day) 5) parking lot full.
It’s not that the hotel is doing anything wrong, just strained under the burden of the number of guests. I’m coming back to the area with another international exchange student in a couple of weeks, and I will likely stay elsewhere because it’s just too busy here.

Dear valued guest; Thank you for your overly detailed response for all guests to read. I would like to candidly answer some details too. Within our gym area; we provide our guests with sanitized wipes instead of sprays. It’s located on the right wall next to the workout bench. Our lobby area has 2 separate entrances including a free business centre and easy access to exterior parking. Unlike larger hotels that takes 5mins or more minutes to enter the hotel, ours is quite convenient, safe and has security/staff to direct parking to add that special touch of service. Overall you’re right, we’re very proud to be one of the busiest hotels within Niagara Falls, but one of the best in service too. We’ve worked so hard to get to the level of occupancies, as it hasn’t been the best experience thru Covid-19. However, although we’re extremely busy hotel, we have more than enough staff - currently at 45 employees to steer this 132 room ship efficiently. Which is more than enough employees. Breakfast experience - we have listed our busy times in each elevator for complete communication for all our guests. However our service, value or quality of food will not be compromised. We actually added fresh, real fruit, 2 automatic pancake makes which were 5k each in value, bacon, sausage, eggs, sweet table, oatmeal station, bread station, juice station and much more.. we 100% have invested in one of the Best valued breakfasts for all our guests too enjoy. Although we are overly busy, it’s expected from us, as we truly offer genuine, great service and rates are truly much more valued from other hotels within our area. We try our best to keep our rates fair during these uncertain times. However, within our industry our operational costs have completely gone up by 30% to 35% and reasons for higher rates across the world. Overall, we truly appreciate your value response and although you’ll stay somewhere else on your next visit. We’re glad to see what other hotels compare in price Vs value Vs overall experience and service. Wishing you continued safe travels. Yours in Hospitality David

Came down to Niagara for a dance competition and wanted to stay somewhere that was close yet economical. Comfort Hotel was that choice. Close enough where I can drive and drop off the girls for rehearsal before their start time within 4 mins and then come back to the hotel to park and walk back within 15 mins - as parking near Clifton hills or at the casino hotels can run quite expensive! Checked in went smooth and was notified that they have a complimentary hot breakfast buffet! Definitely an added value to the hotel. Rooms were neat and clean and beds and pillows were premium quality! Didnt have an issues falling asleep at the end of the night. The breakfast was pretty good! Check out was easy. The staff was super friendly and nice. I would totally recommend this hotel looking for a more quiet option for the chaos of downtown Niagara .
