Our recent stay at Finlay House was outstanding. Irene, our host, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Her rexcomendstions made our first anniversary trip incredible. The house and our room was impeccably clean and conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Queen Street. We were so impressed that we will definitely be returning to Finlay House for future stays. Thank you Irene!!! ❤️

Even though their website mentions free breakfast, there was no breakfast served. They didn’t have a decency to inform me in advance about that and to refund me some portion of the 350$ that I’d paid. The location was okay.

The B&B is very well located to visit the historic downtown of Niagara on the Lake with everything within walking distance. We were in the Oscar Wild room and it was big enough to fit an extra single bed for our 5 years old son. We stayed there with my husband and my son for 2 nights. Overall it was very clean however, bathroom or room were not cleaned during those 2 nights as you could get in an hotel. We haven't seen the host during our stay and didn't get breakfast as you would expect booking a Bed&Breakfast because there was an issue. They did inform us before our stay but didn't allow us to cancel

We stayed in the Bernard Shaw room (King size bed) with is quite large and has nice corner windows. The breakfast was coffee, juice, bacon and eggs, fruit with yoghurt/ granola, english muffins--standard stuff. We really like the location. The rooms were a bit dusty--ie the bedroom blinds, the plant at the coffee maker had lots of spider webs. No hospitality extras to note.

This B&B is in a great location for seeing NOTL; we just parked the car and walked downtown. We were startled when the hostess greeted us in a small lobby with no mask. This led to speculation about the safety of staying and eating there. After eating breakfast out the first morning, we finally decided to request that she wear a mask, to which she agreed readily. The next morning, we ate an adequate breakfast. Our room was not touched during our two night stay; no clean towels, the beds weren't made, and we ran out of toilet paper. The hostess was pleasant, but sometimes complained to us about her work load. The room itself was lovely and quite large. Overall, if the customer service and health standards were improved, I would stay there again.

I stayed with 3 friends for 2 nights. Overall it was very clean however, our garbages were never emptied, bathroom or room was never cleaned and that included the common areas of the home. The room was also not set up for 3 guests as stated we had in our booking with an extra $50 charge. It was 2 twin beds pushed together to make a “king” bed and only 2 glasses and wine glasses were provided for 3 guests. No milk or cream for coffee was provided and water bottles we’re never replenished. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable including the cot my one friend had to sleep in. We booked based on reviews and price but I would never go back there again, based on my experience.

Stayed for just one night when visiting Niagra Falls. Spotlessly clean. Gabrielle was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a cooked English-style served at 9am. There didn't seem to be any flexibility on that but we were happy with 9am so didn't ask. Location is within 5 mins of an Irish Pub and 10 minutes of the rest of Niagra on the Lake main street shops and restaurants. A nice B&B.

I'm not an habitual review writer, but in the case of this delightful guest house, I feel compelled to write a short review. Its was my first trip to Niagara, in fact my first to Canada. My Partner and I wanted a one night stay, somewhere near the Falls and this is a perfect location. Its a very pretty and well managed town, with lots of amenities and places to eat & drink and like the name says, its right on Lake Ontario. We found this guest house on the internet and our Host, Gabrielle made for an easy booking, backed up by an option for a self check in, if she was out. Plenty of both off and on street parking. The room had all modern amenities and Gabrielle served up a delicious breakfast. You will not be disappointed by this delightful town, property and Host.
