My husband and I do a good amount of traveling and we didn't want to let Covid-19 put a damper on our holiday plans in 2020.
With the US border closed and the quarantine requirements for other foreign travel being far too restrictive for us, we decided on a 2 night stay at Greenview Manor in Niagara On The Lake.
The hosts met us with smiles like old friends and gave us plenty of information. They are aware of Covid-19 restrictions without being annoyingly vigilant. The house was neat and clean with sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer available in the room.
Each day, there were some sweet treats left in our room and fresh, cold water was refilled in our fridge daily. We had the Samantha suite which included a balcony where we could enjoy the beautiful weather.
Our room was perfect and our hosts were perfect. If I had to find one fault (which is difficult to do), it would be the "breakfast" part of this B and B. The hosts gave vouchers for the nearby NOTL golf club restaurant which was not at all what we expected as B and B fare. The restaurant is a very tired and old fashioned place, although the lake views were beautiful. We wouldn't have chosen this restaurant for breakfast under any other circumstances.
It's unfortunate that Greenview Manor is associated with this restaurant because their quality and hospitality isn't in line with the NOTL Golf Club Restaurant. Case in point, we thought sitting outside by the Lake might be nice for breakfast, but the restaurant patio didn't open until 11 am and our voucher was only good until 10.30 am. Considering how vigilant restaurants are about Covid-19, we found this restaurant's "no breakfast on the patio" rule rather tone deaf.
Overall, if you're visiting in the summer and you want an excellent B and B, Greenview is a fabulous place! We will return and hopefully, they will implement another strategy to tackle breakfast.

Thank you so much! We definitely take a lot of pride in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable experience. Breakfast is served at the NOTL golf club restaurant (the oldest golf course in North America with an abundance of history and charm). Guests appreciate the flexibility of eating at their leisure and the variety the menu offers while enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Ontario and Fort Niagara. We are happy to support a local small business by introducing our guests to this establishment. During the winter months between January - March, we serve our guests a breakfast cart to the suites - it's fun and cozy to enjoy breakfast by the fireplace! I had big plans arranged for our 30th Weddiing Anniversary, and then the Covid-19 Pandemic broke, and destroyed most things in its path. Plan B. We discovered a new location, a little more than I wanted to spend, but the woman, Donna, who we spoke to was so nice, my wife and I both knew that we had to stay there. We met her Husband Asim (pronounced "Awesome", which he truly is) and we knew that we made the right choice. The property is so beautiful, and it has such a "Zen" feeling to it. The surroundings are so well kept, they have a mesmerizing fish pond (12 months/year), the relaxing deck, and the very handy free parking are just some bonuses. Each room, of which we stayed in the one named Eleanor, are individual suites, that have even their own temperature control, even though the home has central air conditioning. We had a gas fireplace. We had a beautiful en suite, with a jacuzzi-like bath for 2, and a separate shower. We ate our breakfasts (served on a trolly), each day, on the adjoining outdoor deck. We had great guidance for restaurants and wineries to visit from our hosts. We have now discovered our NEWEST favourite place in NOTL to stay at. The location is primo, if I din't mention that already. We now have a NEW Anniversary, that is, we will want to come back each year, at some point. Thank you again Donna & Asim for a spectacular weekend-you two are amazing, but really, we think that you are BOTH awesome!

We have been coming to Niagara on the Lake regularly for a long time, and this weekend, we finally had the chance to spend 3 wonderful nights as guests at the beautiful Greenview Manor. Hosts and owners, Asim and Donna are wonderful! We immediately felt welcomed, and found them both to be kind, generous, professional, and genuinely lovely. The extra touches included a handwritten birthday card, with a bottle of Rosé for our "missed" weekend that had to be tossed in early Covid days. so thoughtful. each day we had special treats like a fancy pastry, chocolate covered almonds and fresh berries. so unexpected and over the top lovely. the cleanliness of the room and home, is spotless, with attention to privacy and added essentials like antibacterial wipes, and sanitizer. we loved the size of the Eleanor suite, with the beautiful full windows and 12 foot ceilings. the golf course across the street is a beautiful view from the room, and easy access to the new trail system along the waterfront. Asim looks after the peaceful Koi fish, with careful attention to the pond. If cycling is your game, you will have a fan in Asim, who was impressed that my husband brought along his road bike for a Niagara run. Perfect location to get started with walks, biking, or golf. we love the closeness to old town and walking distance to all restaurants but secluded on a quiet street away from the hustle. We have booked two more stays, and so look forward to going back. Personal expert attention that exceeded our expectations! Thank you for our LONG weekend away. We found our favourite spot. We must mention that Breakfast at the Golf Course was extra special. Cindy and her team kept us safely distanced, and well fed with delicious options every morning. we enjoyed a short walk first and breakfast on the lakeshore at the club.
Next month, we are looking forward to breakfast delivered to our room as winter changeover morphs things up a bit! Thanks again, Donna and Asim.

If you could give 6 stars I would! The hosts were attentive to our every need,and went the extra mile to make sure my girlfriend had an unforgettable birthday. Upon arrival to our room we found a personalized birthday card and box of chocolates on the bed! The location is less than a five minute walk to the main street (Queen Street) making all the hot spots easily accessible. The room also includes free wine tastings to many of the local wineries all of which are less than a 10 min drive. And of course there is the room! The Elanor Suite is absolutely beautiful and the photos here are exactly how it looks. Very spacious, warm fireplace, and Jacuzzi tub. The private parking spot was also a huge plus in a place where parking is metered just about everywhere. We definitely plan to come back to Greenview next time we are in Ontario wine country!

We stayed at Greenview Manor for 2 nights (Sunday-Tuesday) for a mini getaway and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of accommodation.
From the moment you book your stay to the time you have to check out, it’s evident that Donna and Asim care deeply that their guests have an amazing time and that all needs are met and exceeded. In particular we loved all the little treats provided each day in our rooms and in the lobby - I have a big sweet tooth so all the chocolates, cookies, and fruit (as well as tea, coffee and filtered water) were a lovely touch!
The rooms are enormous and beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The balcony is perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine from one of the many wineries within a short biking distance to the BnB.
The location is perfect - we brought our bikes (stored in a secure garage on the property) and were able to walk or bike everywhere. We were very happy not to have to use our car once during the 3 days we stayed.
We were also able to use some of the complimentary VIP wine tasting coupons provided at the BnB which we really appreciated.
We would absolutely stay at Greenview Manor again and will enthusiastically recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.

The perfect getaway is how we described our stay at the Greenview Manor in Niagara on the Lake.
Upon arrival, Asim came out to greet us at our vehicle. We arrived quite early for our winery tour and hoped to just check in our bags and park our car but we were graciously told that our room was available now and that it wouldn’t be a problem checking in early.
In addition, Asim noticed we had an electric vehicle and told us they had a charger in their garage and he would just need a moment to rearrange the bikes so that I has space to park and charge :-).
Donna checked us in and walk us through all the amenities of the Manor and explained the various tours, restaurants and recommendations for our short stay.
We stayed in the Olivia King Suite and it was absolutely beautiful with tons of space and natural light throughout. The king size bed was so comfortable and the bedding and linens were top notch. The room felt like our home away from home with a lovely seating area and fireplace where you can curl up and read a good book while sipping a local vintage.
In the morning, we had an amazing breakfast cart waiting for us at our door (filled with fresh fruit, berries, yoghurt, juices, fresh pastries and local preserves). Each room comes with a nice new coffee maker, tea kettle and mini-fridge with fresh cream and milk.
Location wise, the Manor is a stones throw from the lake and a couple blocks from restaurants, gelato and coffee shops and the theatres.
We can’t rave enough about the Greenview Manor and the wonderful and welcoming reception we received from Asim and Donna. We feel like we made 2 new friends.
We liked it so much that we have booked our next stay in June for my partners birthday. We can’t wait and have also booked a wine tour by bike, hosted by the owners :-)
If you want to have a relaxing and romantic getaway where you feel welcomed and pampered, then look no further than Greenview Manor.

Donna and Asim run a perfect bed and breakfast and their warmth starts with the first phone call you have with them, preparing you for your visit and suggesting what you can do at NOTL, all through when they meet you for the first time at the garage of their spectacular property and when they wait to see you drive off at the end of a luxurious visit.
They are genuinely keen on providing the best experience for their guests with thoughtful touches in the washrooms (great smelling lotions and creams), a charming table of breakfast beverages, chocolates, snacks and filtered water constantly refilled, ice buckets and a fridge which is perfect for wine you want to chill, the most lush carpets to sink your feet in as you pad around the supersized suite, and beds that are definitely more comfortable than the one I have at home.
They have exquisite taste demonstrated all around the room which is meticulously cleaned every morning so discretely while we were at breakfast.
I left with a lot of ideas to transplant to my own home although I doubt I will be able to replicate their attention to detail in almost every corner of the room. (I was particularly impressed by the shoe mats and racks strategically placed in places where you KNOW they are needed to keep the lush carpet clean!)
The BnB is a minute's walk from the lake to the south and a minute's walk to the main NOTL strip but down a leafy stretch that was quiet and peaceful. We were fortunate to get the Samantha Room which was on the second floor overlooking the oldest golf course in Ontario. I spent hours reading on the balcony listening to the birds chirp and the leaves rustle while my husband used the strong WiFi to catch up on work.
We didn't get to sit by the beautiful koi pond or use the decent sized mini-putting green but I expect we will get to that when we return.
I love staying at BnBs all over the province, but for a luxurious and peaceful vacation, one where warm, capable hosts take care of everything so that you can relax and rejuvenate, I don't think I will be going anywhere else in Ontario but to Greenview Manor hereon.

We’ve just spent six nights at the Best B&B in Niagara on the Lake! Greenview Manor’s excellent hosts Donna and Asim provide amazing service and attention to every little detail one can imagine, even a different special treat each day! Breakfast is served at the golf course’s club house, a one minute walk around the corner, which has stunning views of Lake Ontario! Greenview Manor offers three large guest suites, set within a beautifully maintained property. The “Samantha” was ours, and at 700 square feet, plus balcony overlooking the golf course, we were very comfortable indeed! We loved the huge bedroom, with top quality king size bed and beautiful fireplace. A separate living room and spacious bathroom round out this lovely, luxuriously appointed suite. Of special note is the impeccable cleanliness of the suite and entire property. The suites are thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed every day and the entire property has a fresh feeling about it. Greenview Manor is ideally located on a quiet street, but within easy walking distance to the town’s shops and restaurants. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay, and felt we received very good value for money. Of the various places we’ve stayed in NOTL, Greenview was our favourite by far. Thank you again, Asim and Donna, for a wonderful vacation!

This is our second visit to Greenview Manor and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were met by the hosts Donna and Asim who helped us to our room with our luggage. We were in the Samantha suite on this visit which is located on the second floor by way of a flight of stairs. The suite has two rooms, you enter into the sitting room which has a two seater couch, two arm chairs, a desk which is used for the Kerig machine, tea, coffee supplies along with a kettle, there is also a fridge and a large closet which has the ironing board and iron in there. The bathroom is also accessed from this room. The bathroom has a walk in shower, there are slippers and bathrobes available along with with shampoos, shower caps and an hair dryer. The bedroom has a large fire place, TV, King size bed, two arm chairs. The decor in both rooms is beautiful and equally as nice as the Eleanor suite.
The house as A/C and each room as its own A/C if you need that little extra, this is operated by a remote control. From the bedroom there is access to a large private balcony which is great for those warm evenings just to sit, read and watch the sunsets while over looking the golf course.
Breakfast during the Summer is at the Niagara on the Lake golf club which is about a three or four minute stroll around the corner, the cost is included in the price of the nights stay, along with the taxes and gratuities. Greenview is located within easy reach of the town and is a very enjoyable stroll. All he doors have their own code number so no need to worry about losing the keys, the front door is open until late so no need to worry if you decide to have a meal or a drink after a show.
The rooms are cleaned, beds made and coffee, tea and fresh water topped up every day. One of the many reasons we like Greenview is that Donna and Asim treat you like friends and not just customers, they are available if ever you need them even if it is just for a chat about the weather or somewhere to eat. The little touches that make the stay that little bit special are the little treats left in your room, like butter tarts and in season fruits, we had beautiful Niagara on the Lake cherries. As it was our Wedding Anniversary there was a bottle of champagne and a lovely card waiting for us on our arrival.
Greenview is an outstanding place, we would recommend it to anyone who wants a break and to be treated special, Donna and Asim are the perfect hosts.

I have stayed with Donna and Asim three times in the past 3 months because I just fell in love with the property and hospitality. I came across their B&B as a place to stay for my friends 30th birthday getaway with 2 other girlfriends and this place exceeded our expectations! Donna was so helpful in helping us set up a driver when rain changed our biking plans and her and her husband were so welcoming and accommodating for us. The property is beautifully renovated and very clean (something that is of course more important these). The rooms are also very quiet and well put together, so you also do not hear the other guests through the walls or floors. It truly feels like you have the place to yourself.
I then returned a month later with my mother in the Samantha Suite, who also fell in love with the property and hospitality of Donna and her Husband. Most recently I stayed a weekend in the Elanor suite and this would be my favourite room of the three. You have privacy in the room, as well as a private deck and gazebo that is great for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
I have found my place in Niagara to come from now on and could not recommend Greenview B&B more. If you are looking for a place close to downtown Niagara on the Lake, but still want peace and quiet, you have found your place. Not to mention the hosts are lovely individuals who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is amazing and that you feel at home.
Can't wait to come back!
