Historic Lyons House offers fine luxurious amenities, warm hospitality and delicious food. Unique to Historic Lyons House are a grand parlour and dining room with fireplaces and original art created by Niagara artist Linda Hankin. We are central in a district of historic houses, galleries, theatres, boutique shops and fine restaurants. Should you decide to stay in our bed and breakfast nothing would please us more than to have you as our guest.
We spent the night here with friends and we loved this property ! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and the location is great ! Walking distance to town . Bed was very comfy and we loved our little furry visitor in the morning Ruby ❤️😊

My wife and I stayed at the Lyons house last month for a weekend of wineries and the Shaw. The location is perfect: About 11 minute walk to the festival theatre; across the street from the park; four blocks to the main street. You can park your car and forget it if you are visiting town. The wineries are all within a short drive. Very well maintained rooms and grounds. Lots of places to sit and relax. The hosts were excellent and very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Convenient B&B with three big guest rooms. YUUGE breakfasts. (perhaps too heavy on the carbs, but amazing French toast.) Very nice married-couple hosts. Great location. Only oddity was no lock on our room (when out of it, does lock when inside.)

First impressions are lasting impressions. The Historic Lyons House captured us with its beautiful trees, well kept gardens and a picturesque structure which takes you back in time. Historic Lyons House is located within a short walk to the downtown area of NOTL and Shaw Festival venues. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by hosts Howard and Yolanta who made us feel like we had been here before. The house is tastefully decorated and well maintained. Our spacious room, with an ensuite bathroom, was well furnished and quite functional. Breakfast each morning was an experience in itself. From the aroma radiating from the kitchen, the fresh fruit, juice and preserves or the elegance of the dining room, we were pampered by our hosts. Howard and Yolanta shared time with us and added tips and ideas to our itinerary. They are not only your hosts, they are VERY active in the NOTL community as well. We immensely enjoyed our stay at Historic Lyons House and look forward to visiting again. Congratulations Howard and Yolanta, on 15 years as hosts to the guests who passed through your door. May there be many more.…

This is our fourth time staying with Howie & Jolanta, and our experience never disappoints! The house and gardens are stunning, rooms and bathrooms always extremely clean. The location is just a few minute walk into Old Town NOTL. Nothing can top the breakfasts, (always starting with a delicious fruit and ending with a main course that’s comparable to fine dining,) down to the little details of beautiful china and table linens. Our favorite part about staying at the Lyons House are the hosts, Howie & Jolanta. Not only are they the perfect host/hostess, but they are SO HELPFUL with helping you plan your stay. They always have plenty of tasting cards for the wineries, they map your routes for you and give you all the tips and suggestions that a local could give. Whether you just want to drink, eat (or both!) go to the theater, or bike ride along the beautiful Niagara River Parkway, they guide you along the way. They enjoy getting to know their guests, and add personal touches. My husband and I were just there celebrating our 5th anniversary, and we came back after a day of biking and wineries to find a bottle of chilled champagne in our room with two flutes, along with a hand written note sending their anniversary wishes. Lyons House is top notch, and I highly recommend! We can’t wait to go back.…

We had a quiet and relaxing one night stay with Howard and Yolanda, who were attentive and informative about local eateries and wineries, despite also preparing for a family gathering in their beautiful backyard that weekend.

This place is gorgeous, and under ordinary circumstances I would give it 5 stars. It's convenient, the breakfasts are great, and the rooms - especially downstairs - are unbelievable. However, Jolanta is unwelcoming and moody, and her chilly attitude made us feel very uncomfortable. We felt as if we were intruding, and she made us feel as if we shouldn't be there. And so we won't be, ever again!!

If you go to NOTL and plan on staying in a B&B, look no further. I don't know where to start so I will just list things from the beginning. We left Pittsburgh and wee already on the phone with Howard, who gladly made our dinner reservations for the evening. On our arrival, he made sure we felt welcome and comfortable. He asked us what time he we wanted us to make breakfast and then we went out on the town. Our fist breakfast was amazing...not going to tell you what it was so you can get the full experience. Then he gave us additional wine tasting coupons, directions, made out night dinner reservation and again we were gone. Both restaurants knew Howard and his wife Yolanda. They have an excellent reputation in the community. The rooms were great. We took the room with a huge private spa style bathroom. What an amazing experience. I thought the first breakfast couldn't be topped, but they surprised me. It was one of the best I have had. Again, not telling you what it was. Both Howard and Yolanta were as involved or uninvolved as you wanted. I had great conversations with both. I'm not sure if and when I go back to NOTL, but I will definitely stay here.…

I had an old friend visiting from England and a must stop was to Niagara on The Lake. Wanting something different, we chose Lyon's House. Not off the beaten rack is always nice and being close to most amenities was a bonus. It is a very tiny property with 3 rooms, though spacious but you would know it. You are essentially in a private home. If you want a relaxing stay away from tourists, this is the place for you. Everything about the property was top end. Most certainly the Eggs Benedict were the best I have ever eaten. When you visit on of the worlds greatest treasures, wind up your day at Lyon's House. Your soul will thank you!

We have stayed here 3 times and are never disappointed! Comfortable clean quiet and friendly. And we get a great breakfast, and meet interesting people. Towels are not changed daily but beds are made.
