Two Bees was such a wonderful place to stay in the beautiful town of Niagara on the Lake. Ruth & Steve are such warm accommodating people. Their bed & breakfast exceeded my expectations. Our room was with private bathroom was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. They were the friendliest hosts and were able to provide amazing recommendations for local restaurants and things to see around the town.
This is a beautiful Home with amazing and very welcoming hosts Ruth and Steve. Tastefully decorated, comfortable and an excellent location. Also a Gourmet nutritious breakfast on the porch with the guests and the hosts. Very relaxing and fun. The best! Wanted to stay longer and will definitely return
I was able to make a last-minute booking for a room during the peach festival. The online booking went well and I wanted to inquire about parking before check-in, so we could attend a local tour. The owner called me back very shortly after my call, even though I hadn't left a message. She informed me during our call, of her absence during our stay but assurd me the property manager would be there during the check-in time. I was also told breakfast would be at the well-known golf club down the street, given her absence and that the club has a standing agreement with this establishment. There was a miscommunication about check-in times and we had to walk back after our initial attempt. We returned before the manager and waited on the porch, where she greeted us on her arrival. We were asked to supply our vehicle information and given keys to our room, but no information was shared about house rules and what was available to us. The manager disappeared for a few minutes and returned at which point we were directed upstairs, still without the code for the front door. After we brought up our things, my spouse returned downstairs to obtain the front door code, with no one in sight. He rang the bell, and still, no one. He slowly proceeded downstairs in the private area, calling out "hello", and was greeted abruptly and given an uncertain sounding response with the code. While fully aware B&Bs are someone's home and wanting to respect the private areas, very little details were shared about what was acceptable and what wasn't. We asked for drinking glasses, a request also met with some hesitation. We had been in the sun all day, and simply wanted some water, and we had also purchased sparkling water from the grocery store. Breakfast the next mroning was a similar kind of ordeal where we walked to the golf club, as instructed after being told about the standing agreement, and they knew nothing of our visit. I retrieved our booking confirmation, which they left to verify, then came back explaining we should have received a voucher, which they filled out with us. Breakfast was caped at 30$. Coffee and tea for us both was 5$ and the remaining option was the early bird breakfast. We gladly paid the balance to enjoy fresh fruit with breakfast. The staff at the golf club were lovely, welcoming and very accommodating, given our lack of information about the arrangements. The location and home are absolutely lovely. The decor is not modern, but the home is very clean. The front porch is amazing and had we stayed longer, I would have spent more time enjoying it. The proximity to downtown is wonderful and allowed to explore the peach festival, and to seek refuge when we arrived at the wrong time. The beauty products are prepared specially for the B&B at One Earth, a short walk away. The shopkeeper was very plesant and offered suggestions on where to eat and what we might enjoy during the evening. We won't be returning, but I feel as though the owner's absence was the main reason for our blunders. Given the cost of the stay, we'll look into a property that will ensure a warmer welcome, rather than simply offering a room to stay and a place to park the vehicle.…
Was greeted with a very warm welcome the owners Ruth and Steve were very helpful. Ruth even suggested a nice place for dinner the hob nob and even made reservations for us. They had drinks in a mini refrigerator as well as some snacks. Breakfast was wonderful and on time Ruth and Steve visited with us and very quite the conversationalists. I hope to return again. This location is in walking distance of all the cool old town area of Niagra on the lake. I give them very top scores for super clean comfortable spacious quite rooms God job guys! Jim Mortensen
My husband & I spent the weekend there. Ruth & Steve were so friendly. They took the time to get to know us & made us feel so comfortable. They are a lovely couple & great hosts. It was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable. We had gourmet breakfast on the beautiful wrap around porch. You are able to park in the big driveway & not on the street. The lake, restaurants, shops, boutiques, & golfing are all within walking distance. It’s a perfect location. The Falls are about 30 minutes away. All the wineries are a short few minutes drive from here as well. Ruth & Steve hooked us up with dinner reservations & gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do in town. We will definitely go back & stay with them again! Vance & Delana
My wife and I stayed at Two Bees for 2 nights last weekend. Ruth & Steve were warm, caring hosts who went out of their way to make certain we had everything we needed for a special weekend. They offered us wonderful breakfasts, snacks and a glass of wine at opportune moments. Their home is beautiful and is less than a block from the downtown core. Everything was spotlessly clean and our bed was very comfortable. All the boutique shops and restaurants are just a short walk from their gorgeous front porch. We will happily return!!!
The rooms were all beautiful, clean and all conveniences were provided, but what set Two Bees apart from other B&B was the hospitality. The owner welcomed us with fruit and chocolate, spent time with us, took a genuine interest in us and gave each of us 110% to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was top notch, gardens tranquil, but at the end of the day it was the owner who made this one of the best travel experiences we have had. I would highly recommend staying at Two Bees.
My friend and I had the chance to spend the weekend away from kids at this beautiful b&b. The hosts Ruth and Steve were so friendly and accommodated all our needs. Nothing but positive to say about our stay. The breakfast was soooooo good. They are situated very well and close to all amenities, boutiques golf course etc. Looking forward to coming back with my husband next time.
We were very lucky to find this beautiful place. We received a very warm welcome from Steve and Ruth who clearly enjoy hosting. The rooms are clean, spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was amazing and the location can't be beat just a few steps from the main commercial street on a quiet side street. We loved our stay! Strongly recommended.
Our first stay at this Bed and Breakfast inn, the Two Bees, this week was a delight and we have re-booked for next year in order to be sure to get a room. The setting is garden perfect on a shady colonial quiet street. The new owners, Steve and Ruth, are the most obliging hosts, providing us with free passes and wine samples at various wineries, as well as some tastings to welcome us. By sheer coincidence, shortly after our arrival, in drove my cousins who had booked the same days as ourselves. Our room, the Browning Room, is large with a king sized bed. Soaps and shampoos were supplied as well as a hair dryer and glasses. Each of the two breakfasts was a gourmet creation with a choice of juices, tea, or coffee. Our hosts even enticed us into a rousing game of Boogle to wind up the one evening. Looking forward to our return next year.…
