Aaron’s is a wonderful spot hosted by wonderful people. Quiet, spacious, very reasonably priced, and well-located just 5-10 minutes’ drive from the heart of NOTL and with breweries, wineries, restaurants, and trails all within walking distance. Hannah and Rudy are gracious and generous hosts and the breakfasts are delicious! Would definitely recommend and visit again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfasts including homemade jelly and jam. Our hosts were fun to talk to thank you Hannah and Rudy. They had a great outdoor area overlooking vineyards and some little wildlife. 😄 Great for two couples traveling together. Just a short drive to the downtown area of Niagara -on-the-Lake.

This place is a hidden gem. For the price you pay, you have a very clean room with a bed which is quite comfortable. The outside is yours to use for cocktails before you go out for supper.
The location of Aarons Bed, is a 5 minutes drive to downtown Niagara on the Lake, and
the wineries are all within 15 minutes, so there is no problem.
As for the breakfast that is included, all 3 mornings we ate there were fantastic. The food was great and very fresh. The morning peaches with the raspberries are out of this world.
Once you meet Hannah and Rudy, you'll understand why everything they offer is quality.
You feel at ease, and also very secure.
They give the ins and outs of their area that they know very well, and that they love so much.
We recommend this place to everyone who would like to enjoy the area, at a very good price with great hosts.
Thanks Hannah and Rudy.

Over the past 10 years we have stayed in over 15 b & b's. Worst stay of them all. We would not recommend this place. We were told that breakfast is ONLY served at 9:00 a.m. Owner set out coffee for us earlier at our request as we had an early appointment first thing in the morning. Informing us "You better be quiet, cause my other guests will be sleeping!!" We opened the window on our return at 6:30 p.m. as our room was very warm. Owner thumped up the stairs and yelled through our door that the air conditioner was on!!!!
Second morning breakfast was served at 9:03. Owner set four plates on the table, ran upstairs and yelled "breakfast is on the table". The other couple came down ten minutes later to cold food and promptly slid the ham off their plates due to their religious background. Hannah does NOT ask about preferences or allergies upon arrival. Only lets you know about HER house rules!!

Response from Hannah-Rudy, Owner at Aaron's Bed

We were, quite naturally, disappointed to read your review that you posted and would like to take this opportunity, if we may, to respond to some of the comments you made. We have had a Bed and Breakfast for 20 years .... When people make a booking, we suggest they all view our website, so that there are no surprises. You should have seen that `Breakfast is served at 9 am ` Coffee, tea and cereal are always offered, as early as 6 am, to people that cannot wait. We never yell in our home- it is our haven! We go to the stairs ( and not up ) and say `breakfast is served ` We do not ask our guests of their religious beliefs. You can choose what you wish to eat. When guests are leaving very early, we ASK that they please be very quiet. Some of our guests work 80 hours a week, are on their wedding night or on their honeymoon. We have our home set at 22 C and it was 38 C outside. Why would anyone open the window and think it was cooler. We are in complete agreement with you that our bed and breakfast is not for you.

I would never stay anywhere else while in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Private, sparkling clean room and bathroom, all the comforts one could need and gracious and kind host and hostess, This beautifully maintained B & B has been in business for 16 years and it is no wonder! I feel so lucky to have found it while surfing the internet! Scrumptious breakfast with a variety of fresh fruit. I enjoyed immensely the bike path across the street leading all the way to the waterfront. A quick bike to the center of town, Easy to find with its charming red sign. Knew it was the "right" place as soon as I got out of the car.

The very comfortable and clean room was doubled by the hospitality and courtesy of its owners, who are quite competent and always eager to guide the guests in choosing attractions and/or directions in the peaceful Niagara-on-the-Lake "wine land".
The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked, and we have enjoyed the discrete company and service of our hosting family, Rudy and Hannah, both charming people, making us to feel as honored guests. The B&B is located quite close to Niagara-on-the-Lake downtown and has such a peaceful and tempting backyard!

I rented the queen suite at this b&b and highly recommend you spend the extra money and stay in a hotel or a reputable, recommended b&b.

Upon check in I was greeted by the owner who ran through a list of rules as well as showed me the common area and map of the general surroundings. I paid in cash up front and was told that this was mentioned to me in the confirmation email... I never received a confirmation email. I found her to not be pleasant at all, in fact more aggressive and abrasive with her tone and attitude than anything.

I was showed the room and informed that luggage was not to be placed on the furniture and the windows were to remain closed. Didn't feel like a welcoming b&b at all; instead it was like staying with nosey, strict and annoying relatives.

The place smelt horrible, very musty and any time I entered the establishment I was followed around and asked questions on what I was up to and where I was going.

STAY ELSEWHERE.

All of our reviews help us to strive to be even better than we are. This review does puzzle us. Our home has never smelt musty ! We do ask all guests to use the luggage racks, since we do charge for damages. We certainly did not follow you around. We registered you and then asked if you would be joining us for breakfast the second morning, since you did not make it for the first morning. After reading all your other reviews, we sincerely hope you will some day find a place that will satisfy your expectations.

From the moment we arrived we knew we were in our home away from home. Aaron's is very clean and quiet. Rudy and Hanna were very informative, caring and fun! Our breakfast was very good and the little details Hanna did, just put a smile on your face. I also would like to comment that the price cant be beat!

From the minute we arrived at Aaron's Bed, we knew we'd made the right choice! Hannah and Rudy were fun hosts with a lot of great information but were not overbearing. They were pleasant and helpful, and gave us great tips based on our personalities - Hannah even noticed our little stuffed sheep and recommended we go to South Brook winery because they have sheep!

The house is immaculately clean as are the rooms. The breakfasts were delicious and we loved hanging out in the backyard with some of the local wines we picked up on our bike tour.

The location is great - we didn't want to stay right downtown because we wanted to be closer to the wineries, but the B & B is still a short bike ride to the downtown area.

We highly recommend this B & B and hope to be back again next year!!

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Hannah is a fantastic host and makes you feel at home right away. We stayed in the Queen Suite, and the couple we were travelling with stayed in the Queen Room. The Queen Suite was immaculate, very roomy, private and had a very comfortable bed. We spent a lot of time outside in their gorgeous backyard...it's HUGE! We brought our bikes with us for the trip, and there's a bike trail right across the street, a quick bike ride and you're in the main area of town...very convenient. Breakfast was fresh and good. Thank you for such a fantastic stay, we will be back!
