Detailed Reviews
Our stay at the Harrogate House was amazing. We were greeted by Elisabeth and Ken who were very warm and welcoming. They explained their disinfection and sensitization process, which made us feel really comfortable. As soon as we opened the door to our room, the first thing we noticed was just how impeccably clean it was. Then we took in all the old charm. The room was a great size with a private bathroom, which is a definitely must for me. Each room (there's only three) has its own outdoor space perfect for sipping a glass of wine or coffee. For breakfast, Ken went above and beyond to source gluten-free bread for me and the meal was restaurant quality.
I will definitely be back at the Harrogate House next time I'm in NOTL!

The Harrogate House Inn was perfectly located a couple of blocks from the street shopping hub of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and a very short drive (minutes) to Two Sisters winery, where we had a superb evening!
The room was spacious, the hosts were gracious and accommodating, and the breakfast they served capped off our overnight stay perfectly.
Secondly, with COVID a concern, our hosts took every precaution to ensure the rooms were sanitized, and protocols were upheld.
I would recommend the Inn to any couple looking for a relaxing stay, with plenty of things to see and do. We’ll definitely book at the Harrogate again!

The best B&B experience we have ever had !
From the gourmet breakfasts, international style, with Canadian Fluffy pancakes and real Quebec syrup, to Croissants rivaling those found in Pairs, to UK style homemade Banger sausage patties on the breakfast sandwich. Kent is a master chef, and we were the envy of passersby ,sipping our cappuccino and eating in the lovely garden in the morning sunshine. I noticed several people commenting how inviting it looked. ! Of course indoor dining is offered in inclement weather.
The York room was exceptionally spotless, large and comfortable, with a balcony where we enjoyed our wine in the evenings watching the world (and horse and carriages) go by.
Kents and Elizabeth are terrific hosts, eager to answer questions and full of recommendations of restaurants, and places to visit during our stay.
The location is superb, only steps away from the town center, yet quiet and offering off street parking.
As a fellow transplant from Yorkshire, UK, it was a pleasant surprise to connect with Kent and reminisce about the our common roots.
It was our first visit to their Inn, and we have stayed at B&B's in the area frequently on previous occasions, but this by far the best experience and can't wait to enjoy their hospitality again within the next 2 months. Highly recommend you try it !!

Wonderful visit in this beautiful historic home. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The room was sparkling clean and the bed was super comfortable. We had a wonderful sleep. The location can’t be beat, it’s one small block away from the main strip and right across from the Irish pub (but not noisy at all). We were treated with homemade chocolate covered strawberries. Refreshments and coffee in the room and wine glasses for you to enjoy your wine purchases. We enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden since our room didn’t have a balcony. Every person that walked by would stop to stare at the beautiful inn. I couldn’t recommend this enough. And the breakfast! Fresh local jam and butter with the most delicious freshly baked croissants (do you understand how hard it is to find a good croissant???). Fresh coffee/cappuccino/lates or tea. I had the eggs Benedict served with the freshest fruit. Wow. Hard to find a meal like that anywhere. The owners just opened the inn this year and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. If anything is not to your taste they want to know so they can fix it or make changes for your next visit. We will certainly be staying here again next time we return.

Had such a great time staying in this very charming B&B. Kenton and Elisabeth were exceptional hosts. Their attention to detail was evident from the lovely room with a great deck off the room to the modernized bathroom and the surprise chocolate cookies at my door
Breakfast choices were good and made better by being able to enjoy it outside on the front verandah.
Harrogate House Inn was the perfect choice for my first solo getaway. I will definitely be back!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Harrogate House. We are so pleased that you found our 200 year old Inn charming and that you had a great stay. We are also happy that the room with your personal deck and the treats hit the mark! Having breakfast options that rotate each day is important to us and we are glad you were able to enjoy the breakfasts outside on the terrace. We look forward to seeing you again on a future trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

You could not ask for a better location. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive, making sure you got the most of your experience. We stayed in the Kensington Room and loved the private entrance and patio. The room was all new, with a massive private ensuite with large walkin shower and separate claw foot tub. There was a nice common room and a kitchen area where you can get beverages 24hrs a day. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Harrogate House.

+1
We stayed at this delightful inn in June 2021 and enjoyed ourselves immensely. After a warm greeting from the owners and being shown around, we found a plate of fresh madeleines in our room overlooking the street. The room was very comfortable with high quality bed linens and many special touches such as the small fridge stocked with complimentary beverages. The bathroom was bright and sparkling clean, the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water and very nice products were available for our use. It was much nicer than the bathroom we had in our room recently on the Gold Floor at the wonderful Banff Springs Hotel. Above all, we had a great night's sleep in peace and quiet which is always a deal-breaker for me no matter how nice the room. The next morning we enjoyed a spectacular breakfast on the terrace that we are still thinking about. We will definitely be back.

It was essential that everything was going to be absolutely perfect for my partners surprise 60th birthday celebration. After combing through the accommodations available in Niagara-on-the -Lake I chose Harrogate House because of it's historic charm and proximity to the downtown.
When we arrived, our hosts had everything in place: the champagne, flowers, and an unbelievably scrumptious cheese tray in our cozy room with a walkout balcony.
The stage was set.
The breakfast the next morning was to die for.
Elisabeth and Kenton sure know how to make you feel right at home!

Spent a spectacular fall weekend at Harrogate House Inn and it surpassed expectations. Sure, you can never go wrong staying at a quaint centuries old home close to all the amenities in NOTL, not to mention being in the heart of wine country. But what made this special was the personal touch of Kenton and Elisabeth who welcomed us with warmth and an unexpected surprise. It was my birthday and unbeknown to me, my daughter had contacted our hosts to arrange some special treats. All this was done through email as my daughter lives in Africa. Not only did Kenton and Elisabeth happily provide flowers, chocolates, wine and a delicious array of artisan cheeses, they cleverly alluded to an old family joke in one of my gifts that had us all laughing. We invited them to share in our bubbly and spent a very entertaining afternoon sharing stories. Of course, I must not forget the exceptional breakfasts and thoughtful homemade cookies or the spotless, well-appointed and comfortable rooms - all this contributed to a very delightful getaway that certainly went above and beyond. Thank you, Kenton and Elisabeth!

A lovely historic building in a perfect location for theatre goers with charming, friendly and very gracious hosts. I have allergy on scented products and Kenton was kind enough to ensure that everything was cleaned with fragrance-free products. Breakfast was outstanding with freshly baked baguette and croissants, home-made jams and cooked to order eggs, while accommodating for my food allergies. Thank you so much Kenton and Elisabeth; we are looking forward to staying with you in the next season.
