We spent 4 nights at Harrogate House Inn. Our stay was very good. The room we stayed in, The York, was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable. Kent and Elisabeth was so nice, accommodating and professional. Special thanks to Kent for his breakfasts!
The place is a perfect balance between a full blown hotel and a B&B. The owners maintain a separate portion of the inn. The guest rooms are very private and generously sized - yet there's a sizable public area to spread out and socialize. The place was well equipped and spotless. The location was ideal, close to but not in the middle of the busiest street in Niagara on the Lake. As if all of that wasn't enough - the innkeepers were very hospitable. Breakfast was second to none with always a few choices on the menu. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Such a delightful, restful, nourishing Inn. 5 star all around. Walking distance to most of the village. Beautiful breakfasts. Lovely hosts. Highly recommend. We spent each morning on the porch, enjoying the gardens and the activity on King St. Our favourite pub is right next door. What more could you ask!
Perfect location for exploring Niagara-on-the-Lake. Excellent hosts who were very attentive to all our needs. Our room was lovely -- comfortable and charming, but the best part was the balcony where we sat each evening to enjoy a glass a wine. Oh, and the breakfasts were magnificent: absolutely delicious, and just the right size. We will definitely be back!
This BnB was great—hosts, location, breakfasts. Elizabeth and Kent were hospitable hosts and shared info about the area. The location meant we just could park and walk. The Irish Pub is right across the street! Breakfasts were ample—we liked being offered two choices and that one could have half of one offering and half of the other. The choice of coffees-regular, latte, cappuccino—was a treat.
We decide to stay at Harrogate House for a mid-week getaway and were not disappointed. Just a couple of blocks from stores, restaurants and the theaters not to mention numerous wineries within a 5-10 minute drive. Our room was quaint with a very comfortable bed and we enjoyed sitting on the small patio while deciding what to do next. Kent and Elizabeth are excellent host and we would not hesitate to stay again.
Excellent facility, first class service, exquisite breakfast choices. Overall, an excellent stay. Elisabeth and Kent were the perfect hosts. Excellent location. Within walking distance to restaurants/shops.
We stayed at the Harrogate House in the York room and we are so happy we chose to stay here. Kent and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts from the moment we stepped in. They gave us an in-depth history of the home and of Niagara-on-the-Lake and they instantly made us feel welcome. The room was clean, well-decorated and very spacious for 3 people. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the cozy living room and the delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Niagara-on-the-Lake!
The place was very nice and as advertised. The location was great and Kent and Elisabeth were perfect hosts. Would absolutely stay again. Close to shops and restaurants and the local pub. Easy access to wineries by bike or taxi/uber.
The perfect place to stay in Niagara on the Lake. The hosts were very welcoming, our room was comfy and spacious, and the breakfasts amazing! This historic inn is a block off the main street so it is very convenient for shopping and restaurants, while also providing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Harrogate House when visiting this area.
