As the place is partially under renovation, it took us a while to find the registration desk. We were finally booked into an upstairs room over the Maple Leaf Fudge store. The room was decent & bed was comfortable. 2 issues… They had a ‘wine fridge’ in the room, which didn’t work… they replaced it with another wine fridge, which didn’t have a chill function… so our bottled water was barely cool, but warmer than the tap cold water. We’re biking enthusiasts and wanted COLD water… their online ad saying the rooms had fridges was misleading. The 2nd issue was the air conditioning… it cooled the room but didn’t remove the humidity, so everything was damp in the room… our clothing, the bedding, the towels… after 2 days like this we turned off the a/c. We complained but they didn’t know how to fix the issue. They are located on the main drag, so very accessible to shopping and dining.

Hotel's Favourite
Loved it so much we are going back again this month to try the spa as well. Super clean and very comfortable. The suites have everything. Wonderful accommodation in downtown NOTL. Easy to book direct online for both hotel and spa.

This was our first time in NOTL and we wanted a get-away from the confines of our house. Let me provide a caveat that the hotel is under expansion and not everything was perfect (as expected). The front-desk service was great and they actually called me around check-in time to ensure that we would be checking in before 9PM. (Apparently we would need to make arrangements otherwise.) Check-in was a breeze and the clerk guided us right to our room, (#506). The room was setup to look modern and fresh and we had a corner room that overlooked the patio as well as a side-street. The location is perfect and within close proximity to the restaurants as well as the shops. We did have some issues with the room as the A/C was already set to 67F but it didn't seem that cold in the room. The refrigerator was sweating down the front and the bed sheets were damp like when you wake up from camping, so I'm not sure that the A/C was working properly. Although the flat screen TV was nice, most of the channels were in standard definition. This room seemed fairly private as it was separated (along with another room) from the rest of the rooms on the floor by a self-closing door. Unfortunately we were awoke early the next morning by the neighbors checking out and both their door as well as the fire door slamming many, many times. As well, I was able to hear the words of someone talking on their phone (not just a mumble) in the next room. Being on the corner of the hotel also made for a lot of street noise. We enjoyed our visit to NOTL, but we had higher expectations from a hotel that charges upwards of $400 a night.

We had an amazing stay at this boutique hotel which is located right in the centre of beautiful Niagara on the Lake. The staff were amazing, the rooms great, comfortable beds, nice pillows, l'ocittane toiletries, good A/C and great breakfast. Thoroughly recommend staying here if you are looking for a top hotel in NOTL, thanks again to the staff - we'll be back to visit again soon.

Let me start by saying I travel significantly for business and pleasure, even during Covid. I cover Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and often travel to the US for sales meetings and conventions. During Covid I have stayed in the Ottawa area, and the GTA quite often. If you ask for daily room service during Covid, they will service your room; NOT at 124 on Queen Hotel & Spa. The room was nice and clean. The TV channel selection was minimal, and often no feed. The bathroom was great with a double sink and a nice ceramic shower. Location is perfect. The other issue was no place to eat breakfast. If you want breakfast, they prepare bags for you to take back to your room at 8:30am. While on vacation, my wife and I enjoy having a nice leisurely breakfast. Luckily, there are two breakfast places within walking distance.

Hello Canuck64, Thank you for sharing your stay and feedback. We do have a pause on stay-over-service during Covid, but it is our policy to ensure that our guests are still receiving refreshed items during their stay by personally connecting with each room daily to see if guests have any new requests for the room such as fresh towels, refreshed amenities, etc., and to collect any garbage if needed. Thank you for the suggestion about breakfast. We are happy to share we have opened a covered patio area and guests can now enjoy the to-go breakfast there without returning to their guestrooms if they prefer. We look forward to eventually returning to a full sit down breakfast service in the future and we will update our website as soon as that happens. Many thanks again and we hope to welcome you back in the future!
