Always wanted to stay there because of the history and character . The pub is probably the busiest in NOTL so bring earplugs if you plan on sleeping before 2 am Great experience, rooms are cozy , great food and the servers are very friendly. I would do it again
The Olde Angel Inn Hotel was fantastic. The rooms were clean and nice. Such character. The restaurant had a beautiful garden to enjoy. The bar was really interesting. Had their own beers and cider to try which was very good. Location was perfect as it was just half a block off the main street. Also very handy as they were one of the few restaurants open later.
I’ve been all over the world and this had the rudest workers I have ever encountered. They literally refused service to my 85 year old mother when we came in out of the cold and had gotten dropped off by our hotel shuttle. The flaming “bartender” stopped us at the door and turned us away…Canada has really gone downhill in the last couple years and I feel sorry for the residents here. Don’t patronize this place it’s super WOKE .
Really enjoyed our visit to Niagra-on-the-Lake and stay ay Olde Angel Inn. Very historic feel to the inn. Wonderful pub dinner and drinks at the bar. Highly recommend if you want to experience an historic atmosphere. Comfy bed.
Excellent place for dinner! Great staff very welcoming and accommodating. A must stop for this historic restaurant. Good variety on the menu in both good and beverage selections. Reasonable prices for the area. Close to Queen Street in Niagara on the Lake.
We reside in NOTL, we have visited the AI, quite a few times , with visitors and our local friends, at the indoor bar and dining area and also the outdoor patio too. Chef is amazing in that the product is superb and varied, and whomever is the owner as it does change, they are doing one super duper job of retaining the ambience and old style character but with the present day menu items in mind, actually brilliant overall Angel Inn hospitality prevails. The Angel Inn makes a memory of happiness for you . KB
Although this hotel has charm and an interesting historical background, it is terrible if you want to get a good night sleep. My boyfriend and I stayed here on a TUESDAY night to discover the restaurant downstairs turns into a club at night and blasts music until 2 AM. Not to mention the rowdy people outside being incredibly loud. The hotel has absolutely no respect or consideration to the paying guests upstairs who booked a room with the intention of getting a good sleep. If a hotel is going to have a restaurant as well as hotel rooms above they should have noise regulations so that people who stay at these hotels can actually sleep!
Great people, room was fine, however they really should tell you if staying on a Friday or Saturday, you will not sleep till after midnight. Rooms are right above bar. WTF! Live band vibrating though ceiling on volume 10. Have headphones in and can still hear it.
We spent two nights here (June 16,17). The food at the pub was great and the staff were friendly. Check if there is a live show booked at the pub because it will be loud in your room then. The regular drone from the pub isn't too bad otherwise. The patio around back is one of the nicest in town, be sure to take advantage of it.
Food and service is excellent. Rooms have a charming old world style. The bathrooms are not large, but they are clean. Bed was comfy. On nights when there is a live band playing, it can be very loud in the guest rooms. Noise abates about 1:30 to 2:00 a.m. The Inn does not having its own parking lot for guests. The nearby street parking is paid meter parking. Free parking is available a couple of blocks away in the residential areas. Cute place with great food! Minus one star for noise and parking.
