Any one who has been to Niagara-on-the-Lake has probably walked by the Moffat Inn as it is situated between The Prince of Wales and the Shaw Club Hotel on Picton Street. It looks very nice with its green awnings and flower filled window boxes but as the old saying goes “Don't judge a book by its cover” What can I...

Stayed here for just one night. The hotel is quite old, and reminded me of the kind of pub / hotels that I might stay in back in rural English in the lake district and it felt a bit out of place in a town such as Niagara on the lake. First impressions are not so good, it feels like...

Don't know where to start. From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out was the most enjoyable weekend. The staff was the best we have ever experienced. If we asked a simple question they front desk did the best they could to accommodate For example. We were looking for cards and he looked and looked until...

We had the same impression as "3Thirstytravellers" - the hotel is not well kept and is highly overpriced. Entering from the parking lot you are met with the a distinct musty smell of mould. Dirty laundry and garbage bags are lining the hall. The hotel furnishings are run down and shabby. For the cost I would look elsewhere.

We have been staying here for years but it is no longer quaint and charming, just old, tired and worn out. The exterior needs a good clean and painting. While the bathrooms were recently renovated the rooms need to be redone. Furniture is worn out (dated, chipped, no doors on the tv cabinet, faded) and decor is so dated. Our...

Quaint because, unlike so many standard hotels and motels, the inn is comprised of several connected vintage buildings. The result is a variety of room sizes and amenities peculiar to each: several have private entrances from the street; several have adjacent patios and there is a third floor "penthouse." Something for everyone. Convenient because it is located on the main...

My husband and I stayed over one night at the Moffat Inn. When we arrived it was a Tuesday at 1pm they said we were able to check in right then which was wonderful. We walked up a flight of stairs and were so pleasantly surprised at the room. It was a small but very quaint inviting room...perfect for the...

This is a very nice inn in a perfect location for seeing the Shaw Plays. Our room was large and very comfortable. Bed was great. Parking on site was a real plus. Internet worked well. It's less expensive than many so that made it a great choice.
