I checked into this Comfort Inn on January 31st and was not impressed with the first room they gave me. The computer chair was in such poor condition, it should have been thrown into a garbage dump a long time ago (it was bent backwards like a reclining chair - not reclined, but damaged - how can you work on your computer with a chair like that - the chair seat also had a large stain on it - no way was I going to use or sit in that filthy chair!). I took the chair to the front desk and they gave me a fairly new one which was behind the front desk to replace this defective and filthy dirty one). In addition to the defective/dirty chair, the sliding doors were in very poor condition; they are so worn out, that they did not operate properly. Once I got back to the room with the replacement chair, I went to use the bathroom and noticed that the sink stopper was sitting on the sink counter rather than being in the drain at the bottom of the sink where it belongs. I then noticed how filthy dirty the sink was (hair, dirt, something that looked like spit/snot, etc.); I put water in the sink and it would not drain - the drain was fully blocked. How can they rent out a room in this condition? This plugged sink surely has been plugged for quite some time now (the drain entrance looked very gross - lots of spit, unknown debris, etc, in it). I then had enough and went to the front desk and complained about the condition of the room; the front desk clerk gave me the room next door to this room (she did apologize for the condition of the room). The replacement room was much better, although I still had reservations about staying the night after what I just went through with the first room. I left the hotel the following morning shortly after 6:00 am; there were two roofing contractor employees in the main lobby without face masks on - the front desk clerk was right behind the front desk, but did nothing about these two workers not wearing masks. HELLO; it's a requirement to wear masks in the Province of Ontario during this Covid-19 pandemic! I have never been so happy to leave a hotel as I was when I checked out the following morning; I definitely will never return to this particular Comfort Inn in the future.

Just checked in and the room stinks. Not sure but could be cigarettes. Too tired to complain and move. First clue should have been empty parking lot on a Friday night. Other than that room seems clean. Fan in bathroom very noisy and come on when you turn on the light. Sounds like a plane propeller. Light in bathroom so dim you can hardly see yourself.

This past Friday, I had the misfortune of staying at this location. The room was shabby, with a chipped-paint and broken chair. It is what it is. The bed wasn't horrible. When I turned on the hot water to take a shower in the morning, the room was filled with the overpowering smell of piss. Too disgusted to shower, I packed and went to check out. This is where it gets good. I complained to the two staff at the front desk. They don't say a word. They just process the return of my deposit. After a couple of minutes of silence, I ask if they are going to say anything. I got a mumbled "sorry". When I asked for a refund on the room ($150 ???), I was told that they didn't have the authority. The manager has the authority but doesn't come in until 1:00 p.m. (What? I can only assume that the manager is trying to dodge the inevitable barrage of daily check-out complaints.) I leave. At 1:15, I call back and talk with a rude "acting-manager" (that was clarified to me), who had no apology, but who said that she was aware of the problem, would investigate, and would call me back in 20 minutes. I left my number, the same number on file for the room, and waited. An hour and a half later, after no call, I called back and was told that the manager was "in a meeting". It's two days later, and I never received a call. Comfort Inn, I went out of my way to resolve this issue with your staff, and they went out of their way to avoid me. Based on this experience, we will avoid all Comfort Inns in the future. Incompetent and unprofessional staff, along with worn out and unsanitary rooms, is this really the best you can do?

Room Tip: Avoid this place; it's unsanitary, and the staff are useless.

We stopped after a wintry drive. We were grateful for a drive up pet friendly room. But it smelled a bit. And the bathroom needed updating. The shower curtain had mildew on it. Otherwise the room was fine

We stayed at this location overnight this past weekend and found it to be very convenient when traveling with pets. We pre-booked a ground-floor unit with a king bed and fold-out sofa, and were delighted to find that this room had a patio door for easy pet access and parking directly outside that door. Directly off Highway 11, this was easy access to get around where we needed to go. The hotel also had free wifi and a workout room with breakfast included. The rooms are tired. They say non-smoking however we spelled smoke throughout the overnight and in the morning directly in our room. This is definitely a budget location with sparse amenities for shampoo, etc and limited towels and pillows provided. Front desk staff are helpful and will attempt to get you what you need, however there is often only 1 person at the desk even on a Friday night. On a Saturday, the breakfast is only OK. It's mostly cold options with the addition of waffles, 1 pan each of eggs and bacon. Service was poor with delays for filling the trays exceeding 10-12 minutes and when they are "filled" they only fill them halfway at best so they were depleted quickly. If you are in a hurry, this is not a fast breakfast option. Honest opinion.
