Detailed Reviews
This is a good option for basic overnight needs. Decor is dated, but room was clean; has individual heat/cooling unit. Bathroom was spacious, clean and bright. Our room had a fridge, microwave, and a kitchen sink which was useful for frequent hand washing.

If your looking to plug in your electronics? Good luck! Our room had one plug in the bathroom and it was crazy. The adapter kept slinking out of it. Both plug locations on this only available outlet.
Nice hole in the wall by the bedside where a plug would normally be hooked up. The side lamp and clock radio sit with no electricity to them.
Small flat screen tv of course no HD.
Clean enough room with small fridge, microwave and coffee pot. All these appliances and tv on a power bar. Mix and match I guess what you want to plug in.

Stayed one evening. The hotel is pet friendly and we had no issues having a dog with us. The lobby is very cute and charming, though it could use some music or the use of the TV in the lobby for some ambiance.
The rooms are cute and clean. There were a few issues with the shower, but the water pressure is really strong. There was plenty of parking and the parking lot was plowed well after a snowstorm.
The staff are friendly and approachable. We had some issues with our stay, but it was resolved quickly and accordingly.
The breakfast was ok, but the coffee was horrible.

After arriving at Toronto airport during coronavirus recall of all Canadians, we were unable to reach Air Canada to change our return trip to northern Ontario although we tried for 2b entire days. We then booked a special service to North Bay but as the only scheduled bus had left for Northern Ontario, the driver took us to this hotel. The rules of engagement were explained based on health and safety but they stressed that were available at all times. They allowed us to remain at hotel a little longer the next day so we were protected from other travellers at the bus depot. They provided us with van service as we had excess luggage and lastly, they prepared a special breakfast bag for me since I am a diabetic. They were SO KIND and understanding ...virtual angels!!! I shall never forget all that they did for us.

I recommend staying anyway but here….probably have better luck on a park bench. Staff at front desk is completely ignorant & rude. We requested an early check in the day before we arrived & never received a response. We when arrived at the hotel the “person” behind the desk was dismissive & very unprofessional. He stated we can’t check in before 3pm, it’s policy….I explained I sent a request but he never bothered to respond & that my husband is here for business so I will be stuck standing in the freezing rain (it’s -1 & pouring out)….he said he doesn’t care if it’s raining or snowing for me to stand in, no exceptions. I asked him to cantor stay & we will happily take our business elsewhere & he said he would still be charging us full amount to cancel. Utterly disgusting way to try customers……take your money & your business to people that have better customer service skills & treat their clients properly.

First impression is ok when you pull up. This hotel is extremely dated, night staff do not even acknowledge when you walk in, wearing a lumberjacket (does he really work there)? It was dimly lit, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom still had orange linoleum. There was no hand soap, just a bar for the shower. The bed was uncomfortable. I won't be back. Breakfast was disgusting.

Not enough warm blankets on the beds, then no towels in the room upon arrival. There were stains on the carpet which was unfortunately a little unhygienic and there were also some on the wall near the television. There is a lot of water coming in through the window and it breaks everything the window frame. The bathroom is a bit outdated as the wallpaper was broken. It was very cold when I got into the room but my boyfriend turned on the heating on the edge of the window and that solved the problem but I had to bring an extra blanket that I already had. The room was probably old and it was mainly the stains on the carpet and the walls and the water coming in that gave the room an outdated feel. We slept very well, comfortably. Lunch was really very good. Thank you very much it was a good experience.🙂

I would recommend this hotel as a good place to stay in North Bay. I found the service friendly and my room was clean. The complimentary breakfast was tasty - pork sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, jams, cream cheese, muffins, cold cereals, actually good coffee, tea, fruits, milk ,real fruit juices and make your own waffles. Convenient location on Lakeshore Drive, across from Lake Nippissing.

Just like going back to where I lived and have a decent place to stay. That is not ridiculously expensive. I like the location close to stores and shopping, as well as the water front, small public access to water front across the street was great.

Simple basics for an overnight stay in North Bay. Rooms were clean and the beds were not luxurious or particularly comfortable but for a one night stay it served the purpose well. Good value in comparison to other local spots. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs and sausages, with bagels and beverages
