The Finch Beach Resort (formerly Torbay Cottages) offers vacation-makers a fun and vibrant getaway on the shore of Lake Nipissing. A small boutique resort offering self-catering cottages with amenities like room service and waterfront activities. Our property is situated right in the heart of town and close to many restaurants, bars, parks and the LCBO. Fully updated in 2021, our four cottages come with full kitchens, fireplaces and 2-3 bedrooms. The Finch inspires a mid-century vibe of good times by the lake!

The 3 bedroom cottage was a perfect size for 5 adults and a dog. Beds were very comfortable after long days of local hikes. Definitely a bonus having the beach only steps away and being able to walk out 100 feet and water was only up to our knees. Great that kayaks were available to use. Perfect sunsets, as you look directly west , while sitting on the beach deck chairs.

I booked the Gordon cottage for my daughter's 24th bday party. She had a little get together with some of her friends. It was the perfect spot, bigger and cozier than a hotel room. This little cottage was close to the beach so a sunset was enjoyed. It had the cutest retro vibe. And the cleaning staff were super nice and helpful on check out.

Really nice cottage experience located in a great spot on the beach. The cottage was updated with a retro-vibe, which was interesting (record player on site, for those that know how one works, lol). Clean, good sized unit with a convenient private patio area. A quiet, walkable neighbourhood - close to Sunset Beach park. Much better than any "regular" hotel experience you'll find in North Bay - will definitely try to revisit!

We were a large group, 3 cottages & 18 family members. We were all delighted with the efficient and lovely units. So many details that all communicated welcome & have fun. The perfect setting for a reunion like ours, a bachelorette or team building location.

Lovely spot, clean, spacious,so quiet and overall wonderful experience. Really loved the direct view of Lake Nippising and the beautiful sunsets and of course the ducks. We will be back! You will not be disappointed !

Super comfy beds and pillows. Very clean cottages but so is the entire site. Kitchen could use more cutlery and dishes so plan to bring or buy. This is our 3rd summer at the finch and will return again for sure.

I took my girlfriend to The Finch for the weekend of her birthday and it was a dream! We arrived late on a Friday and were able to throw some hot dogs on the BBQ and have a cozy night by the fire watching TV. The next day was rainy so our plans of exploring the outdoors had to shift and we enjoyed the space and made a big lunch. It was great to be able to grill on the covered front patio and relax on the comfy couch. We also took a glass workshop nearby at Incandescence Glass Studio in Callander so that was a nice activity close to the Finch. That night, we took a quick walk over to Churchill's and had a phenomenal meal! The trip was lovely and The Finch is located in a really convenient spot in North Bay which makes it easy to do pretty much anything. We had a blast and will absolutely be visiting again. Next time we're going to try and get out on the kayaks!…

Beautifully decorated, clean cottages with comfy beds! (Stayed in the larger beach front cottage as well as the May fly). Thank u for attention to detail and providing all the amenities such as shampoo, coffee and popcorn ect, felt pampered and cared for. Also enjoyed visiting the cute gift/consignment shop, candy store and chip stand across the street, lovely location!
