Really nice little motel ran by a friendly and thoughtful family. We had a standard room, we just turned up in the day as we had been doing all over Canada all week and was amazed at how good the room was for the price.
Very clean, everything thought about to make a stay perfect. If we come back in the summer/ spring this will be top of our list

We really enjoyed our stay at sunset inn! The rooms are spacious and very clean! It was the perfect location for us as our friends were getting married next door, beautiful spot right on the beach. We were travelling with a baby and the owners were so accommodating/helpful. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone travelling in the north Bay Area!

You can’t find a more welcoming motel anywhere! Chetan and staff can’t do enough for you and the location is fantastic. It is right on Lake Nipissing and you can sit by the water on a beautiful sand beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Prices are also very competitive. We will be back and back and back!

We booked the cottage close to the beach. The views are perfect. Great little getaway. Nice quiet spot. Checkin was smooth and owner was friendly and helpful letting us know they are there for us 24-7.
We stayed in the exact room 15 years ago and it is pretty much the same old decor. Could use updating such as take out carpet smells musty. Bed was clean as was the room. If your into 70s style heart shaped bathtubs you’ll love this room.
Few tips: update outside furniture, clean cobwebs off deck chairs. Clean off docks of bird crap. Take away sand bags as tripping hazard and just doesn’t look nice.
Overall nice little spot. Although dated it’s very clean and that’s important so If you want a quiet getaway with great views and swim on a hot day this is the place.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a two evening stay at this inn and really enjoyed ourselves! The room was very clean, comfortable and modern. The grounds and dock area were fun to explore and we were able to relax on the muskoka chairs overlooking the lake a few times. The staff were very friendly and quick to answer any questions and offer suggestions.

I stayed in a charming, rustic little cottage right on the hotel's private and perfect little beach, and the cottage was spotless in every nook and corner. Any hotel that keeps an older building that clean deserves full stars. In addition to the lovely location, and 2 restaurants next door, one of which delivers, the service at Sunset was exceptional.

Saw this place online and wasn't sure, and then read an article in the Toronto Star about road trip to North Bay and to be sure to stay here, so we did! Cute place, we also stayed in Rom 202 - King Bed with Firepace and small balcony that overlook the parking lot, all the rooms do, its like a cool looking old fashion motel, but you do get a partial view of the lake which is nice.
The manager was super nice to deal with while booking "Chitan" sorry is I miss-spell, was awesome to deal with and answered all of my many questions.
Well priced for what you get at $169 a nite. Room is very clean as is the bathroom, looks like it has just been rennovated, room itself is average, but we enjoyed the stay. Did have a gas fireplace, for looks, as it doesn't generate any heat. White Owl restaurant which got rave reviews in the Star was so so for us and pricey and very loud. Sunset Inn is a great place to stay for a night while you are passing thru North Bay!

I have stayed at the Sunset Inn many times over the years! The owners are kind and respectful and always wiling to go the extra mile to help! The rooms are clean and there is always enough hot water! Whether we are riding our motorcycles up north from the Stratford area or meeting family and friends from all over... there is a perfect room for everyone!

Hotel Ok for price. Nice waterfront. Room was updated. A cooktop and sink with fridge. Musoka chairs outside room. Very loud with outside bar next door. No sleeping here. So ridiculously loud. Too bad because Everything else was OK. Save your money. Go to a quite hotel down the street to guarantee a good sleep for 20 bucks more. Or join in if you know the language they are singing in.

this place is located on a busy street in north bay. even with earplugs you can hear trucks on the road at night. the owner was surly and defensive about this tho did offer a refund before we checked in. the room itself was clean and comfortable.
