Regarding what Tom_mac 20 said

I am quite familiar with what he is talking about, and agree when it was the Prestige, it was horrible. Even though it's still not a palace, I dropped by there recently to visit a friend who was staying there and must admit they have cleaned it up quite a bit.

The room he had was clean and the hallways were remarkably quiet. They don't allow visitors past 11 p.m. anymore so a lot of the riff raff are unable to conduct their in/out all night escapades. I suspect they they have moved on to the Econo-lodge down the street.

If someone was looking for an inexpensive place to crash, the Business Inn is not that bad a deal.

This is the worst hotel in Ottawa. In my lowest years when I was a crackhead living on the street we used to rent rooms here for a few hours to smoke an 8 ball. The hookers that live here were/are too disgusting to even consider hiring. Even then I was still digusted. My clothes were covered in grime from sitting on the filthy bed. The neighbourhood residents have even picketed this place more than once. Most reservations are promptly cancelled without refunds once people see what this place is really like and that money goes into heavy advertising for more suckers. Don't stay here under any circumstances. I cleaned up my act quite a few years ago but I still live about 15 blocks away from this place so I get to see the "quality" of the guests on my daily trips to work.

So we went in the room, looked around, and left immediately. We paid and did not even stay there. It was absolutely horrible. It was so cold, no heater in the room. The receptionist was horribly unprofessional (talking on the phone about sexy toys and penis enlargement, like what?). I will never come back and do not recommend this place to anybody. All the other reviews are probably from the workers there.

I would not let my worst enemy stay here. The room was disgustingly dirty. Approx 1 inch of dirt literally all the way around the outside of room next to the wall. Sex workers were coming in and out all night. Reception didn't even give us a receipt for payment and he put the cash directly into his wallet. Health unit needs to be called. We slept fully dressed as we were scared to catch something

It is true, I was offered 50.00 cash by management as well to put in a good word about the place. The city of Ottawa houses homeless people there until they can find a place to live. All you can smell is drugs, crack. It is a rough spot. Loaded with hookers and drugs, and fighting as well.

For the price I paid I thought I received excellent service and accommodations. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were nice size and the room was very clean. The flat screen TV's were a nice surprise. Overall I had a very comfortable stay. The new management of the hotel has really made a lot of improvements to the place. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay that is close to downtown and all the main attractions but with an affordable price tag.

Good afternoon. We stayed at your hotel last week (Thursday &Friday 23/24)of June. We were down in Ottawa for a work contract. It's our 3rd time staying at the Ottawa inn .but this time we had a bad experience.
1 .air conditioning was not working. For the first night.
2.we had no maid service. When we went to do our contract. At 8:am. We left the sign on the door.when we came back later that night 7:30 pm our room was not done.
BED WAS NOT MADE UP.
NO TOWELS.

Thank you
Derrick Gannon
