Our first experience with Homewood Suites. Excellent accommodations, immaculately clean and very spacious. Full kitchen and separate bedroom were a real surprise. Conveniently located for shops & restaurants and easy to drive to downtown. Check in was smooth and staff courteous and helpful. Quiet - despite being close to airport and road traffic. Breakfast buffet was well supplied and area kept clean. Large seating area and plenty of tables. A very pleasant and restful stay. Would definitely stay here again.
We were checked in efficiently by a most pleasant young man. I only wish I had noted his name. But, as it turned out, every single employee we encountered during our 7 night stay was unfailingly friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculate throughout. We reserved a one-bedroom suite, and we truly appreciated the extra space it provided for us. Most importantly, one of us could retire to the bedroom and watch tv. With the bedroom door closed, no one in the rest of the suite could even hear the tv! The kitchenette provided everything we could need in the way of equipment. After all, we weren’t there to cook Christmas dinners, but we appreciated real plates and cutlery, etc. Breakfast-to-go options were sufficient that everyone could find something to their taste. After spending hours in the intense late-August heat, we appreciated the terrific air conditioning, and the that the units were much quieter than those found in many hotels. This hotel provided us with a spacious and superbly comfortable base and we spent many more hours there than anticipated. Too hot to do much sightseeing!…
We always sleep at the hilton hotels but it was our first time in a Homewood suites. We really loved it because the rooms are really spacious and the kitchenette is huge plus with a family. The breakfast was good with a good variety of food. We will stay in a Homewood suites again for sure!!
Hotel was nice, clean and quiet. No real issues or concerns to report. I would recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. If you are staying in Ottawa this is a great hotel close to everything such as food, shopping and the airport. Cheers
Selected this location as close to family. Not that close to the sites to see in downtown Ottawa. We were not there to be tourists. Clean, friendly, convenient to a number of grocery stores and restaurants. Staff helpful and friendly. We will stay again.
we had multiple concerns with the King Suite, which was none of the sort. Having stayed there before, we expected the same type of accommodation. Instead we were given a very poorly retrofitted unit. We raised this with reception on 3 separate occasions, only to be told that 'the manager is very, very busy'. No one called and no one fixed the situation. The catering is very poor and badly organized, ran out of food, cuttlery, etc. Surely the hotel knows how many guests they have booked and can cater accordingly?
A Very loud hotel, from noisy ppl to AC rattling to paper-thin walls. Cheap room amenities from TV cable to bed linens! We left early! Great for loud, large families with pets! A highrise motel really.
This was my first trip to Ottawa and this hotel made my stay very comfortable. The hotel was excellent and very helpful staff. Certainly recommended for your stay. They also welcome your pets if you have one and would like to bring along.
We had an extended stay here recently, our first vacation in over two years, and it was wonderful! The front desk personnel were unfailingly polite, friendly, and quick to answer any requests. The hot cooked breakfast was a treat every morning, with plenty of choices, and always lots of tables to sit at. The hot items were different each day and the food was replenished quickly, even when there was a large team of athletes staying there. We opted to have housekeeping come in every three days, and that worked well. The room was quiet-we could not hear our neighbours. We travel a lot, and this kind of soundproofing is not the norm. The hotel is 7 minutes from the airport, and we could see the planes from the windows, but not hear them. Couldn't hear the traffic either-our windows faced out to a major road. The location made the hotel a good base for day trips, and even going downtown only took 15-20 minutes, at most. The bed was comfy, and we appreciated the black out blinds, and the TV's in both rooms! Our only complaint (and this is being picky!) was that there was no TV guide. We loved the big fridge, because we ate all our meals in, and there were plenty of dishes, and even a dishwasher. Also liked the fact that there are guest laundry facilities. We used the shuttle (free) on our return to the airport, and even though the driver had pickups at another hotel, he was prompt and speedy. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be looking for this brand in other places we travel to. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was worth the cost.…
Rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was typical. Parking and location all good. The downturn is there was no personal touch at all, check in was "here's your key and wi fi password", no welcome, nada. We were there for our 50th anniversary, not looking for anything special .....just would like to have been made "welcome". Would choose somewhere else next time.
