The hotel is located on the corner of O'Connor Street and Gladstone Avenue. When you arrive you need o input your unique access code into an outer and inner security doors which is not an easy task when you have suitcases. We arrived at around 11Am and our room would not be ready until around 4Pm. So our suitcases were placed into storage. So we went exploring and discovered Elgin St which is the main tourist area with a good variety of Bars & Restaurants. Later we returned and after inputting the access code to access our room (quite difficult at night as the buttons are not illuminated and lighting is poor outside the room). There was TV, Table & Chairs a and quite a Large Bed. There was a single medium sized wardrobe but no draws for clothing storage so we would have to leave most of our clothes within our suitcases. There was a well stocked kitchen area including a Cooker, Microwave and Dishwasher. There was little else within the hotel with exception to some seating areas. The staff here offered little assistance throughout our stay. The day before we left we asked for assistance booking a Taxi on the last day. They said wait until the morning 8-9Am when staff would be at the desk to assist but nobody was there until after 9.30Am which was really disappointing. The most annoying thing was the constant sound of Building Works and Roadworks throughout our entire stay which nobody at the Hotel had mentioned.

For a downtown hotel experience, the location and amenities were great for the price point. I was in the one bedroom unit with living room and kitchen. I have dietary restrictions, so having a fully stocked kitchen to work out of was so nice. They had everything on hand to allow me to feel at home. There was parking available for about $20/day which was totally worth it to me. I could walk to grocery, restaurants, shopping, and museums without having to drive at all. There was plenty of storage for my luggage, comfortable bed, and the staff was responsive when we needed anything. There was not room service unless you requested it, but they would restock things as needed and they had a pantry for additional soap etc. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

We found our 4 day stay at Sonder The O'Connor to be quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable. A small dishrack to place dishes when washing by hand, and towel racks in the bathroom for towels to dry would be useful additions to the kitchen and bathroom. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent stay, bed was extremely comfortable and I had a fantastic sleep. Only negative I can think of is the shower was a little small. I’m over 6 foot tall. Everything was clean and if anything extra was needed the reception was extremely accommodating. Reception was also quick to provide recommendations for good food around town!

We stayed here for a hockey tournament and had a great stay. It was very central to all of the arenas we were going to. The rooms were quiet and it was a great location for walking to many activities and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations for local food. The kids loved the game room and the workout facility was nice.

I stayed at Sonder O’Connor for five days while exhibiting at an event at Lansdowne Park. It’s an easy 20 minute walk . I’ve also stayed at Sonder at Liberty in Toronto several times for five to thirteen day events at the Enercare Centre, which is about a 15 minute walk. Both do have parking available at an added cost, and I have used it as a safe and secure place to leave my car for the duration of my stays. I love the completeness of these units. Everything is thought of from fully equipped kitchens to laundry facilities; ample towels and bedding, iron/ironing board, wifi, Roku, etc. etc. I love the contact-free check in and checkout, making arrival and departure easy and convenient. Buildings are secure, accessed with a keypad code. When you’re working long days away from home, it’s wonderful to have a comfortable space to land, with everything you could need, so you can rest and relax. I’ve only stayed at Sonders for work but am now looking at all the locations, planning for vacation!

Excellent first time experience. Clean and convenient downtown location. The room had a full kitchen equipped with stove, microwave, fridge and coffee maker the bed was really comfortable with a great mattress. I would definitely use Sonder again!

Lovely staff, always pleasant and eager to help. The suite was perfect, well appointed and clean. Excellent gym, exceeded my expectations! Planned to use the game room (foosball, ping-pong and shuffleboard) but did not have time. Very nice lounges, although they can use more outlets for all the electronic devices we use nowadays - there was only 1 (!) behind a vending machine. Front door code expires at 8 pm on check out day, so you can store the luggage and venture out until it's time to leave for the train station or airport. Definitely recommended, will stay again here or at other hotels in the Sonder chain world-wide.

This hotel has elevators , and it is a great hotel to stay and enjoy your trip to Ottawa.
Rooms are spacious and cozy, beds and pillows are super and the personnel is most friendly and helpful.
