It doesn't get much better than the King Edward when it comes to staying in Ottawa. I in town for a 3-day conference at the new Convention Centre in October. Richard was quick to provide walking directions and it was a perfect, short stroll before and after a day indoors. Breakfast was terrific and plentiful. I enjoyed a fresh muffin,...

This B&B came well recommended by several travel sites. We were not disappointed. Richard made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, homemade and with a nice variety. The only down side of our stay was the ongoing renovations....but that was the only shortfall. All will be perfect in the house by next week I am sure. We will stay...

Richard is a very conscientious host who works hard at providing everything a guest at his very interesting B&B might need, from amenities in the room, to directions to all points of interest. His late Victoria (hence the name King Edward) is a bit of a history lesson in and off itself. The breakfast was ample and cheerfully served. His...

My wife and I found Richard's B&B through TripAdvisor reviews, and it more than lived up to our high expectations. Great location. Enthusiastic help from Richard on both our standard-touristy and non-standard requests for local knowledge and guidance. Nice mood at the breakfast table, with a wide variety of fresh, tasty food and good conversation. Uniquely selected decor throughout the...

On route from Calgary to a wedding in Perth, my husband & I decided to spend 2 days in Ottawa. We decided to try a bed & breakfast for the first time & fell in love with the photos of the King Edward, as well as the wonderful reviews we read. We were certainly not disappointed. Richard & his trusty...

We spent a night in the King Edward and it was the best way to start our two week trip through Ontario and Quebec. The owner, Richard, is extremely friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was probably the best of our entire trip. Sunny (the dog) is wonderful, and we fell in love with him immediately. The place itself is...

We enjoyed your charming home immensely. The welcome we received from yourself, Sunny and Kiwi, all added to our overall experience. Your scrumptious breakfast provided a great start to the day, along with the companionship of other guests. We have already recommended your Auberge to friends and family. Well done!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the King Edward B&B for two nights while visiting Ottawa. We were on a roadtrip of Quebec and Ontario. Richard gladly shared his travelling experiences with us and offered some great advice on what to visit next. We had a very nice time in the green room, it felt like a home away from...

We stayed at King Edward for one night. What a great place to stay. As soon as we got in the front door Richard sat us down and gave us a map of Ottawa, asked if we had been there before, what to do etc etc. It was really great. The B&B is really well situated and it's easy to...
