Richard & Sunny are excellent hosts and we had a great stay. The house is beautiful, the rooms are clean and the noise is non-existent with the triple glazed windows. A short walk to the Byward Market and all it has to offer. Thank you so much for the perfect stay!

Excellent breakfast, pleasant company, we felt immediately at ease. Richard spent time to offer his best advice for our visit of his town. Thanks to RIchard, we had a wonderful time in Ottawa. .!..

We just returned from a two night stay In Ottawa at the Auberge King Edward. We can't recommend the inn too highly. It is well located, the breakfast is great (fresh fruit, eggs, juice, muffins, croissants, coffee, teas, cheese - what more could you want?), and the parking is free. We particularly enjoyed the lively conversations at the breakfast table!...

We stayed with Richard (and of course Sonny, the Goldendoodle + parrot) between the 16 June and 18 June 2011 (2 nights) in the Tower Room. The drive up from Huntsville took about 4½ hours and as it was C when we arrived, we were slightly fraught. Consequently, we were a little wrong-footed by our host’s immediate, in-depth advice as...

Great location, easy walking distance to Parliment Hill. Nice Bestro across the street. The house is very nicely landscaped. The rooms were clean and spacous. The breakfast was wholesome, the quality of the food was very good. The host is friendly and quite helpful. We very much enjoyed, Sunny, the pet goldendoodle. Can't beat the quality and value.

Conveniently located (about 15 mins walk) for Parliament Hill. Richard had been helpful and responsive to e-mails prior to our stay. Upon arrival he was well prepared and sat us down to discuss his recommendations for our 2 day visit. These proved to be spot on. He gave us invaluable tips to make the best use of our time. We...

Allow time to interact with the landlord and Sonny, his goldendoodle, a marvelous addition to the ambiance. The center of the city was easily accessible; the landlord was full of information about the sights and how to get to them; the food was delicious.

Richard was the perfect host. We really appreciated his hospitality and all of the helpful tips about Ottawa. We only had a couple of days so it was nice to get a local's opinion of the best sites to see in our short time. Location is great, walking distance to all of the main attractions.

There are several reasons why we liked Auberge The King Edward B&B. First it is close to things of interest, such as the Byward Market with its cafes and boutiques, and Parliament, and the University of Ottawa, and the Rideau Canal. All of these are in walking distance of the inn. It's also close to Gatineau, where the big Museum...
