My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We have access to our own bathroom. We can read in a quiet living room or out in a balcony off our room. Morning breakfast is plentiful. Our host played jazz music on a grand piano every morning while we enjoyed our breakfast. We parked in the underground parking of a Loblaw grocery store nearby at a very reasonable price. Easy walk to the Rideau Centre and Byward market.

Bella Notte Bed and Breakfast was a delightful stay. Checking in was a breeze, and my accommodations were very comfortable. I’ve never stayed at a traditional bed-and-breakfast, and the best was yet to come. My incredible and warm host Oscar, a talented pianist, prepared a healthy and delicious breakfast. He then played the piano live while I ate - it was quite wonderful! I would very much recommend staying here on a stopover in Ottawa; the B&B was within walking distance to the Byward Market and other downtown attractions.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for one night. The rooms were impeccable, so tidy and clean. We had the floor to ourselves, would be great for a family of four, one room had two single beds, and the other a double bed, with a large bathroom just for these bedrooms. Also, the room had a terrace which was lovely for happy hour on a beautiful summers day. We felt very safe I. The B&B, and the location is walking distance to ma y tourist attractions, such and parliament and the byword market.
Lillian and Oscar were there for anything we needed and provided any information we asked. The breakfast was tasty and lovely, with an added bonus of Oscar playing the piano. A real treat to stay there.

I've been going to Bella Notte for many years now, and cannot say that I've been to a more charming B&B than this. The owners, Lilian and Oscar (both musicians), are truly wonderful people, and make you feel like you're at home in their beautiful heritage house. Located on a quiet street in the centre of Ottawa, near the city's main attractions (including the Byward Market and Canada's Parliament), you can easily enjoy the city by foot when staying at Bella Notte. Lilian serves a delicious breakfast in their glorious dining room, where Oscar sometimes plays the baby grand piano. The rooms are tastefully appointed and you will not find a cleaner place to stay... anywhere! I give this place a big thumbs up.

My mum and I stayed at this lovely B&B for a couple of nights just after Christmas. Location is excellent: easy walking distance from all the downtown attractions and events, but on a pleasant quiet street. Our 2-bedded room was cosy and comfortable, with a well-equipped private bathroom. There is a guest lounge on the second floor which is great for relaxing after a busy day out.
Lilian & Oscar were excellent hosts; very accommodating (we had a late-afternoon bus home on the last day and they were happy to let us leave our luggage at the B&B), friendly and hospitable. We didn't need any tourist information as I'd lived in Ottawa for a few years, but it was clear that Lilian would have plenty of good advice if we'd needed it.
Breakfasts were great; cereals, yoghurts, fruit, hot croissants, homemade jam, toast and the lightest fluffiest scrambled eggs I've ever tasted. All with an accompaniment of jazz piano by Oscar.
All in all, a great choice of accommodation if you're visiting Ottawa.

I spent a very enjoyable 2 weeks with Oscar & Lillian. My wife found their B&B online, needing a location near the university for our daughter's music stay. We could not have found a better place for location and for hospitality. I think I may have been the longest staying customer they have ever had, I hope they enjoyed my company as much as I enjoyed theirs. They even invited me to have dinner with them one night when I was housebound by all day rain. Oscar's breakfast jazz piano was a welcome start to the day.
So close to Byward markets and the city itself, this is a great location in an amazingly quieter street, able to walk everywhere. I could not have stayed in a better place in Ottawa. Lillian keeps the rooms immaculately clean when you have gone out. One of the few 5 stars I have given to an accommodation place and well deserved. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed one night at Bella Notte Bed & Breakfast. It is very well located in a quiet street in the centre of Ottawa, and It was easy to park the car in the street. The house is beautiful and very clean, and our room, even if it was small, was very comfortable. The hosts are charming. The only reproach we could have is the price which is a little expensive, but maybe it is the case of all bnb in Dowtown Ottawa.

My wife and I had a lovely stay at Bella Notte for a week. As we were there for work we had selected the B&B especially for its central location, but Lillian and Oscar's warm and exceptionally well-maintained home would have made a wonderful stay anywhere.

We enjoyed the Swan Lake suite, with a convenient dressing area and vanity, two closets, as well as a full ensuite bath. We had the entire third floor to ourselves, adding to the at-home cozy ambience. On the second floor was a common lounge and television area.

The highlight of the stay of course are the breakfasts. We rose every morning to fresh baking, with a different choice from day to day: croissants, waffles, muffins, biscuits or breads featuring Lillian's own old-world style creative selections of grains. There was also fresh fruit salad, and eggs made to order on request, and coffee, tea and orange juice. So much better than waking up to the usual newspaper: we were enthralled with Oscar's mix of classics and his own pieces, while Lillian shared her many, many stories of coming to Ottawa from Eastern Europe.

Although it's so close to all the key Downtown workplaces, convention centres and attractions, it's definitely not your usual anonymous business hotel. Thanks Lillian and Oscar for a wonderful stay!
