When you decide on a mini vacation at a B+B, you look for a destination that is an interesting experience, stay at a unique home and meet engaging people. Well, The Gathering Place at Pelee Island, with hosts Marg and Bernie exceeded our expectations! We shared their home, a historic 128 year old stone farm structure, fully contemporary with all amenities, on a well-manicured property, with a waterfront view, evening fire side chats and direct sunset views at the lake, then wakening up to a gourmet quality breakfast. You cannot ask for more. Great experience biking, enjoying the attractions, beaches. You will enjoy the moment! S+S Brantford, ON

Our first time visiting Peele Island. The Gathering Place is a close walk from the ferry dock. Wonderful view of sunset while enjoying an evening fire by lake. Our hosts Bernie and Marg were very friendly and informative. They offered lots of ideas as to what to do on the Island. The breakfasts were delicious. They even prepared an early breakfast because we had reservation for the 8am ferry. Very accommodating. Our room ( the blue room ) was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Peele Island. Remember to reserve your ferry ride to/from island.

This is a charming century home a short distance from the ferry on the west side of the island. Your hosts Bernie and Marg, are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful in making your stay a memorable one. We stayed in the blue room which was very comfortable and had a spacious on suite bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Marg provides a delicious, healthy breakfast each morning in the beautiful screened porch. Bernie built a fire our first night and a friend of his provided acoustic music as we watched the incredible Pelee Island sunset. A wonderful vacation and we will be sure to return. Thank you Bernie and Marg!

We spent 2 wonderful nights at this lovely B&B. The hosts, Marg and Bernie, were great. They met us as soon as we arrived and provided us with lots of info on what to do and see on Pelee Island. The property was very well maintained with a wonderful view of Lake Erie. The Muskoka chairs in the front yard were great for enjoying the lake view. The house was very unique with excellent accommodations. Our room (the Blue Room) was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the front screen room was very enjoyable. Not only was the food so tasty, the view outside was excellent with all the birds, flowers and the lake. We would most definitely recommend this B&B to anyone travelling to this quiet island.

I just returned from my 3rd stay at the Gathering Place! I LOVE Pelee Island and this place, especially the hosts Marg & Bernie. I highly recommend a stay here, you will be delighted and will feel welcomed and at home. Accommodations in this historical house are comfortable, breakfasts were scrumptious! Lake view and sunsets are spectacular. Incredible property with lots of flowers and birds. Enjoy sitting in the screened porch breakfast area, sit outside with a glass of wine in the red Muskoka chairs, swim from their lake frontage or bike around this magical island, stopping to explore numerous beaches, the light house, the winery, Art Works, etc. This B&B is a 5 minute walk from the ferry dock, so you don't even need to bring a vehicle over...maybe just your bike!
