A simple Inn on a quiet island. Escape the rat race to yesteryear on remote Pelee Island. Our Inn offers 5 adults only suites/rooms in the Main House eaxh with a private bathroom. Private suites with seperate entrances and private ensuite bathrooms are situated at the back of the property. Our Family Suite accommodates kiddos and or doggos. All rooms are air conditioned. Continental breakfast is served daily from 8am - 10am on our large wrap around screened veranda of the Main House. Occasionally our own pup, Jody will stop by to beg for a bagel. Our 3 acre property offers a screened gazebo a natural firepit, picnic tables and a hammock. Bike the island, hit the winery, walk the beach, hike the trails and fall into bed at the end of each day on Pelee Island at The Wandering Dog Inn. No Wifi, No Tv... just regular old conversation and naps!

This was our first time to Pelee island. It has been on the bucket list for a long time. Looked for a place to stay and came across this place. What luck!, Kevin and Cathy are wonderful hosts. Our room was perfect, even the weather helped. The East wind created large enough waves that lulled asleep each night. Breakfast each day while called continental was much more. As the island is small every day was an adventure with lasts to do and good places to eat. Learned lots about the island both from Kevin and Cathy as well as other guests, for us a reason for choosing b and b’s as our first choice of where to stay. You can’t do better the the wandering dog.

This was our 3rd visit to Pelee Island, and first time at The Wandering Dog Inn, and it was just what the doctor ordered! The WDI is a beautiful Inn, run by 2 wonderful people our room #3 was fantastic, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice too the food that Cathy puts out every morning, is AMAZING the Inn also has lots of space inside to sit and relax, or munch on a snack, or go thru your photographs .... and Kevin is always around in the afternoon/evening to assist in any way<> outside grounds are nice too, Muskoka chairs, a screened in Gazebo, or a fire pit, stocked with wood, these 2 have thought of almost everything, to make your stay comfortable<> we have been staying at B&B's together for the past 15 years<> and #WDI is one that I will recommend to family, friends and colleagues. Thank you Cathy and Kevin for creating and sharing such a beautiful, calm, peaceful, warm and welcoming environment for guests like us to enjoy. We stayed 2 nights in the queen suite with an ensuite bath, comfy bed, beautifully appointed with nice views. Everything at the Inn was immaculate and comfortable. It was very easy to find a nice place to rest inside or out, play a game of cards or just sit and chat. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of variety - fruit and baked goods, especially those fresh muffins were great. We explored the beaches, marshes, Fish Point Nature Reserve, Stone Road Alvar, winery, and the old Lighthouse. A memorable meal was the Perch Basket at the Westview Tavern. We would definitely book with Cathy and Kevin again.

Our first trip to Peelee island and was so ecstatic that we found the Wandering Dog Inn as a place to stay, truly a hidden gem. Kevin and and Cathy were such genuine and gracious hosts, always available and just nice to chat with. The pictures on the internet do not do justice to this b&b. The rooms were spacious incredibly comfortable, clean and with all the little touches that made the stay amazing. Porches are screened in and there are so many places to gather with friends, old and new. The continental+ breakfast was AMAZING and kept us satisfied well into the afternoon. Kevin also knows all the best on the island, where to visit,where to avoid, who had the best burgers, best fries... Their hospitality will certainly have us returning with friends. Just got home and already missing it.…

I don’t even know where to begin with how lovely this stay was! The location is idyllic, the accommodations were beyond comfy and the hospitality was exceptional. Our Inn Keepers, Cathy and Kevin, went above and beyond with generous and gracious hosting. Another amazing trip and stay at Pelee Island and the Wandering Dog Inn. I already miss the amazing breakfasts by Cathy and Kevin coming by every night to make sure we were good before we settled in for the night after a great day of biking and swimming. Great hosts as always. I highly recommend booking your relaxing time at both Pelee and the Wandering Dog Inn. What are you waiting for? Just do it!!

The best part of staying at the Wandering Dog Inn was the clean and comfy accommodations… or was it the breakfast?!!!….. or was it the location?!!!(same road as the winery and walking distance of the best beach)…. Or was it the dog?!!!! It was it the laughs around the campfire with new friends???!!! Or was it the hosts???? !!!! Truth is, everything was amazing and I would recommend Cathy and Kevin’s B and B to anyone who wants a laid back, comfy, and fun getaway!

The house is beautiful and very clean, the bedroom was comfortable and the Innkeepers were really friendly. The breakfast was ovee and beyond what we were expecting and we really enjoyed the nightly bondfire.

An absolutely charming inn run by a very welcoming couple. Wonderful breakfast each morning. The wrap around verandah was a welcome place to read. Close to beaches and easy to get around by bicycle. Would gladly return.

Cathy and Kevin are outstanding hosts who made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Breakfast was delicious and the room was beautiful, the grounds were enchanting.
