A simple Inn on a quiet island. Escape the rat race to yesteryear on remote Pelee Island. Our Inn offers 5 adults only suites/rooms in the Main House eaxh with a private bathroom. Private suites with seperate entrances and private ensuite bathrooms are situated at the back of the property. Our Family Suite accommodates kiddos and or doggos. All rooms are air conditioned. Continental breakfast is served daily from 8am - 10am on our large wrap around screened veranda of the Main House. Occasionally our own pup, Jody will stop by to beg for a bagel. Our 3 acre property offers a screened gazebo a natural firepit, picnic tables and a hammock. Bike the island, hit the winery, walk the beach, hike the trails and fall into bed at the end of each day on Pelee Island at The Wandering Dog Inn. No Wifi, No Tv... just regular old conversation and naps!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the wandering dog Inn Accommodations were wonderful .our hosts were spectacular the breakfast provided every morning was fantastic a wonderful stay will certainly do this again .A must stay on point peele island.

Think of a place, simpler, nestled back a little in time. No channels to tempt you on the two dimensional flat world of nothingness. Bits & bytes of web eye candy are no longer easy to consume between the palms of your hands….life slows down a gear or two. Some may call parts of this experience an outrage, elements similar to what a recent Canadian Telecom giant provided…we called it peaceful. We always love staying at the wandering dog! Beautiful old house with tons of character and Kevin & Cathy will make sure you feel at home there! Delicious breakfast, bonfire, hammock, even a gazebo so you can enjoy the outdoors while it rains! We will for sure be back!

Cathy and Kevin are absolutely amazing as a couple and a team! They’re organized, extremely clean, very accommodating and SUPER Fun! By the end of our 2 night stay we felt like we were staying with a great big family. Wonderful stories by the campfire, breakfast and even a fun group adventure to the beach! The Wondering Dog is a lovely Inn. Cathy and Kevin were gracious hosts. Our room in the separate building was spacious and clean. They provided great tips and advice before our daily outings. Take advantage of their local insight to avoid pitfalls. Cathy’s breakfasts were delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are planning a quiet getaway to Pelee island.

We had the best experience at Pelee Island because of the Wandering Dog Inn. Our family suite was spacious, clean and a minute walk to the beach. Our dog Lola loved it as well! Nothing but wonderful memories and delicious breakfast. An amazing place to embrace the beauty of the island without the distraction from technology. The Owners were gracious and friendly. We will be back!!

We recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the inn. The owners are friendly, funny and only too happy to help with tips on where to visit and interesting facts about the island. The inn is a charming older building, which is well maintained and clean. The room was comfortable and there are various other amenities such as a nice continental breakfast and a campfire (weather permitting). We enjoyed a very relaxing and fun weekend at the inn. We would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Pelee Island.

The Wandering Dog Inn was our home base for several days in May 2022 as we explored Pelee Island, with birdwatching as the prime objective. Cathy and Kevin were the perfect hosts, and they went to great lengths to ensure that we had a memorable stay in their beautiful inn. The location was perfect for taking short drives and hikes around the island, where we saw an amazing array of migrating warblers and other birds & wildlife. Highly recommend!
